I haven't bothered keeping up with this shitfest beyond the featured articles. Has it really turned to shit like we said it would?

Sometimes it depends on what type of person you were when alive.

That one inventor from Helluva Boss managed to quickly get enough cash and break into their building to get a hit on his friend.

Ir's sorta funny how serial killers manage to become Overlords or become stronger in hell than while they were alive.

I find the idea of it being somewhat malleable rather then just what is akin to static primordial forces.

That said all of this is headcanon at best fanfiction at worse. The painful thing about hasbin hotel is the art design is amazing and the place it's set at begs for a dozen different interesting stories.

It was just fumbled hard and personally the pilot voice actors did a better job then the ones they went with for the series.

-Charlie gets sidelined on almost every opportunity
-introduces a mystery and solves it in the very same episode
-the premise of the show (redeeming sinner's) is proven to not work since the exterminators kill so Hell can't rise against them

If you liked Helluva Boss then Hazbin won't disappoint you.

But from the looks of things every promise this show made 3 years ago? Broken. Troons on the writing staff, troon and pooner imps, more importance placed on who the characters are fucking and how instead of..ohh running a hotel to show "humans aren't so bad". Or in hbs case being assassins hell bent of getting sinners revenge on people who screwed them over.

The more shit that goes on about this, the more I keep thinking about how Disgaea did the "wacky off the wall yet kinda traditional hell world" and "Dubious or outright evil heaven authority/redeemable demon" shit better nearly if not 2 decades back now. Then again that's a video game series kinda doing a goofy spin on common rpg tropes like Earthbound/MOTHER did, not a STREAMING SERVICE EXCLUSIVE series.

It's kinda weird how both game series despite being ridiculously different have a similar thing with the wacky shit and occasional actually understandable tender moments in a way that's a lot more genuine than modern shit both corporate and indie devs put out. There's a lot of earthbound inspired games but not many capture that same kind of specific soul.

Well, there was also the fact that in this, the devil is more like a title and the current holder is the wife of the last one that overthrew him and she usually presents herself as a sadistic red skinned giantess with black and yellow eyes and a black bikini (and yet she has her moments of humanity with specific characters) so I guess that part wouldn't fly on the industry

I'd say Adam is more like that guy from the Falcon Winter Soldier show in terms of a character meant to be hated. Ken was liked by the people who made him in the movie, and only really deranged feminists who hate that he has a part in that movie really hate him.

But my god Adam is definitely more likeable than a good portion of the main cast.
