I assume its that it is a better continuation than Clone High since any discussion for Clone High pretty much died down with the reboot which wasn't really good (due to forced edgy jokes and lacking the charm the first season had)
I forgot there was a Clone High reboot. I will continue forgetting.

I think everyone involved in this show is a fag, but this dude is a bigger niggerfaggot than everyone who worked on it combined, god damn.
The fact he opened with a disclaimer talking about how he gotten harassed by rabid fans (including showing his retort where he points out he's not "cis") was probably a clue. With simping for Adam's VA and taking offense to voodoo symbols being used for Alastor's powers (gee, I wonder why?), he seems to share a lot of same views as the show's target demo and looks to be another case of progressives eating their own.

Cartoonshi, Just Stop, Dumbsville, LS Mark, etc. fall under the category of young adults who want to be edgy but are too afraid to go all the way due to the fact that they are straight (supposedly) white cis men and can be cancelled at any moment for wrongthink. And because their self worth is based on how other people online see them, they have to constantly walk on eggshells on how they express their thoughts and opinions. Even if they say that they don't care how other people perceive them and try to play up the asshole critic. They do care.

They also are most likely autistic, though that was probably a given since they review cartoons.

I won't deny HH/HB fans are rabid and demented (as this thread is proof of that), but saying you're getting harassed by a bunch of autistic underaged tumblrites sounds like a skill issue tbh.

That's because he is.

He's basically the kid who loves to act tough and swear but will immediately coward down if he had talked about a product that is about gay rights but ultimately still garbage.

Hell, during his review of Goodbye Volcano High, that piece of shit that was about the end of the world, but the drama was focused on Biseaxul Pterosaur's petty personal dreams and her band.

This game was mocked by everyone and was outdone by 4Chan called Snoot Game, which even came out earlier than the official game.
Dumbsville, however, was constantly trying to avoid talking about the controversy because he didn't want to come off as a bigot and bragged about how he was all about diversity.
It didn't even work because he still ended up dealing with the "fans" of Goodbye Volcano High in his tweets.

He even praised Netflix's Scott Pilgrim, you know, the show that killed off the title character because the creator wanted to prove he was still a progressive boy.

The fact he's using a lego Obi-wan model with an eyepatch and Zoomer humor without knowing how to pull it off shows how much of this guy's a faggot.

There's a reason nobody respects cartoon reviewers.
It's because pretty much all of them are lefty cucks who sell all their souls to please their LGBTQ gods.

They'll try to act tough in their videos but will immediately break into tears when they hear someone call them a fag for enjoying a show about lesbian kids kissing each other.

Speaking of Cartoonshi, he was one of the few who thought the episode in Helluva Boss was brilliant because Stolas finally divorced his evil wife, never mind the fact that the creators had to devolve Stella's character ragging cunt who marries Stolas to see him suffer, and this was done because one of the creators broke up with their ex and was still bitter about it.

As a consequence, it ruins one character and doesn't change the fact Stolas is a terrible father who constantly forgets his own daughter's wants and needs, but Cartoonshi is going to praise him because he's free to be gay as he wants to.

Even his review of Hazbin Hotel starts the video by begging his audience not to attack him because he couldn't deal with all negative comments from his Helluva Boss reviews and didn't hurt the feelings of the "fans."

The entire time, hearing him bending the knee so he wouldn't hurt anyone's feelings just made me scream, "Dude, it's the fucking internet. There will be someone who gets offended by simply your breathing. It doesn't matter if you didn't mean any ill will toward them. They will hate you simply for being alive."

He even defended the terrible finale episodes, praising the part about how Sir Pentious gets revived because it proves those "bigoted" angels were wrong, except it doesn't and creates a lot more plot holes and questions such as "Does every demon kill by an angel get sent to heaven? Do demons even have to try to redeem themselves if that is the case?"

Someone in his comment section was dumb enough to say, "I can't believe the complaint about the story is that want more episodes."
That's because the audience is not happy with how little information the show gives us about its world, and it's usually a sign of the creator's incompetence at pacing their story.

Even his title for the video, "Hazbin Hotel is a Beautiful Mess," is just a roundabout way of saying, "yeah, I know this show is shit, but I still love it anyways."
It's like listening to a cuck trying to make excuses why spend 50k on OnlyFans for a girl who could care less about him. It's pathetic.

Speaking of Cartoonshi,
Cartoonshi is one of the worst of these examples, he tried to copy E;R and Mauler styles without understanding and especially without a spine to withstand the obvious pushback he would have.

his review of ROS is a joke of unoriginality, all the points stolen from others, now it has the [OUTDATED AND OFFENSIVE] stamp

FireShot Capture 011 - [OUTDATED AND OFFENSIVE] The Rise of Skywalker - The Death of Star Wa_ ...png

Even with the episode he had with Zaid Magenta, I believe that the biggest contributor to this "change" was discovering that people will attack you if you speak negatively about a cartoon, even abandoning any standard of quality or offensive jokes, just saying "that was not the best writing possible" already guarantees you a lot of death threats.

to anyone who has an opinion on HH or any other cartoon that floats in the left sphere, never try to appeal to them they don't care how toxic you are, just which way you direct your offenses, if you bend to their whining, they see you not as an ally but as a defeated enemy.

trying to pander to them only limits you and eats away your brain cells, it doesn't matter if you are "on their side", if you don't praise them, don't even try to have a conversation

Exactly!
You can try all you want to make leftists happy, but that won't matter because these very same people are addicted to being victims and will eat each other out of pure spite.

It's just a club of mean girls ruining each other lives for their pleasure.

I've been thinking, so autistic rant incoming. You know what a lot of media have a problem with nowadays? It just feels so unrewarding, hopeless, and fucking miserable to watch. They have an issue with not killing off characters who nobody wants to see, the modern versions of fucking Poochie, but they never give you what YOU want. There is this awful persistent writing trope where they will just never deliver any interesting concepts, they just stay as what-ifs, while the mediocre parts that the authors do like are amplified and shown to you every bit of the way.

Almost as if to spite you for daring to bite the great design bait the authors have laid out, both in personality, likeability, and general design. It's always pure bathos in writing too, no real emotion, no feeling, just like you're constantly getting ripped off by the media and cheated out of any meaningful W. Not to the protagonist, like it could or should be, because the protagonist is emotionally invested or anything. The protagonist is just an spectator that has things happen to them, that in the end they don't matter or care about, much like Charlie, which is really what the author feels. Vivzie doesn't actually care about any of this other than watching her gay OCs interact and frolic.

The spectator is the only one that keeps losing anything of value. This is a complete inversion of roles, in a weird way this could be an interesting thing in some experimental, niche media, but when everything is like this, you just want to punch the author in the face. Bonus if your beloved character suffers an unnecessarily horrible, bleak fate. It's like they don't understand you're supossed to make the protagonist and not the audience suffer. Because the audience not only will hate your guts if you keep making them feel like they've wasted their time and someone they, to some extent, hold dear just died in a heart wrenching way, you no longer have a fucking audience! They're going to leave to find something else to be disappointed into, before they just don't give a flying fuck about anything modern at all and go watch the Sopranos or House like I do. Shows where you know, the protagonist suffers a lot and the beloved side characters do too, but they are treated with love and respect and regularly handed big Ws instead of being made just to hook some poor oblivious bastard into watching your tripe.

To name a few characters I have been thinking of, Sir Pentious dies stupidly, the Smiling Critters are all dead and suffered horribly, Bendy doesn't actually show up until the sequel, Kenny in TWD dies too and gets cucked in 50 different ways, the Team Fortress Classic team gets defeated in stupid ways, and the entirety of the new Suicide Squad game was made. Yet every shitty Donut Steel OC tier character in all these forms of media, every author mouthpiece, have nothing bad happen to them. In fact they get rewarded just for existing, which only makes them more hated.

I don't know why people all decided to write this way, but I'm really sick of it. Fanfiction writing going from a niche made by nerds who want to see women smash clams to a requirement to derive any enjoyment from any form of media, that even kiwis engage in, shows how bad the state of affairs really is.

TL;DR: Shows lately are balls. Your favorite characters have to be miserable, you have to be the protagonist while the protagonist is an spectator, and the only real writing tool when everything is taken to its logical conclusion is just pure bathos. Milennials should be thrown into a gas chamber.

I agree with that. Amazing Digital Circus isn't high art or anything, but it's fun and gives a sense of unease about the setting the characters are in. Hazbin Hotel is all edge with no point, and if I had to compare it to something I'd say Hazbin is Tumblr while Circus is New Grounds, it might be shit in the long run but at least there's something potentially there that goes beyond an ok comedy show that the pilot of Hazbin presented.

Posted this in the TADC thread and figured it was relevant:
To be fair, many shows have a different pilot and episode 1, sometimes both are radically different. You can actually find some pilots out there like from The Big Bang Theory that are like that, the problem with Hazbin is it didn't solve any issues with the pilot, it just moved around the window dressing.

I just love how one man with a dream did something so funny that he has become inexorably tied to this show.
Honestly? The fact that pretty much all of the thunder Viv thought she had was stolen by some random beatboxer? I could not think of a more fitting end to close Hazbin's tale on. It only gained popularity because there was an empty niche for it to fill (This was in 2019, GF, RS, AT, and SU were all ending/already ended).

Since the show didn't have much else to bring to the table beyond the novelty of it being an "indie animation pilot" in a time when everyone thought YT's algorithm has made that nigh-impossible, it ended up making the same mistake Owl House did: Continuing to cater to an ever-shrinking niche of animation fans that have an aneurysm when whatever they consume isn't queer-coded.

And now here we are, with indie animation on the rise and new shows arriving to show that all Hazbin did was prove that indie animation is still viable and nothing else.

Honestly TADC has made such waves that it has popularized (along with ENA) the genre of what I call “Y2K Video Game aesthetics”, and I’m seeing more of that aesthetic cropping up, such as the following:

Comparatively, I haven’t seen many cartoons with similar aesthetics to Hazbin. YMMV on the significance of this.

Except that the pilot for Hazbin Hotel is still canon, so it is technically the first episode...even thought it's not on the streaming service like the rest of the episodes and other episodes contradict stuff that are in the first episode.

Kinda wonder if that’s because Viv/A24 didn’t want people complaining about the animation downgrade. It’s such a baffling decision that it’s one of the only things that makes sense.

I'd say those are more comparable to 90s PC point-and-click games. (Eastern Mind, Total Distortion, MYST) I'd say Y2K is stuff like CvS1, DDR, Mr. Driller, anything from the turn of the millennium with water aesthetics.
