Episode 1 is out.

Good way to kick off the series and Halloween; pretty good episode. Brandon Rogers is killing it with his voice acting and I was surprised to see Jinkx Monsoon and Mara Wilson as guest voice actors. And credit where credit is due, they listened to the criticism and adjusted accordingly; the flashbacks are now more organized and less disjointed and the color palette continues to be varied.

Pretty good first episode, though the demon chick's new voice threw me off.

New Millie voice is too deep, the old one done by the loona's VA was better.

Edit: And it really is a shame that Stola's VA had to change it definitely wasn't a change for the better.

Edit 2: Overall I enjoyed it shame about the VA changes.

I was about to chime in; I was more caught off guard by the new Stolas. The new guy is trying his best and I commend him but I just prefer the deeper and smoother tone Brock Baker used. I do like how the censorship bit was carried over as a reoccurring gag.
Hopefully with time the new VAs can settle into their roles better.

I liked the episode as well and am glad to see I’m not alone in disliking Millie’s new voice. It really doesn’t fit her. The guy playing Stolas isn’t bad but he’ll take some getting used to.

I feel his voice sounds a bit too stereotypical feminine whereas old Stolas sounds stereotypical regal and so him being a perv with that voice makes him stranger and more interesting.

Essentially Stolas is too high pitch and Millie is too low and perhaps a bit too southern.

EDIT: Also I swear when new stolas first speaks it sounds like Dunky.

I have to agree with vivzie on one thing. You could be a goody goody person who plays by all the rules and gives everything into playing nice. But one little slip where you snap and lose control and boom! St peter and all the other big shots up there say fuck you and send you to live with all the Epsteins (didn't kill himself) and jihadists who blew up busses on Jerusalem. Truly the christian God can be kinda a dick sometimes

Like I said that teacher was as good and sweet as can be but as the episode said nobody's perfect one way or another we all have flaws or in some cases dirty little secrets and hers was to snap and not only commit a murder and attempted murder than off herself and that earned her a one way ticket to the same eternal punishment as adolf hitler, chairman Mao Tse-Tung, ted bundy and jeffrey dahmer. I honestly could see her as a character in the companion title hazbin hotel, she seems like someone charlie really could help towards redemption.

The Lord expects two things from his faithful: That they accept Jesus as their lord and savior, and that they show regret for their sins. The rest is largely window-dressing from what I understood. Besides, everyone forgets or ignores Purgatory, where everyone who wasn't completely awful and also repentant over it ends up.

...not just regret, but repentance. That is, they should 'go and sin no more'. (Of course, humans are fallible, but Jesus would forgive their trespasses... but God forbid tha they sin because grace abounds.)
Purgatory is not in the Christian Bible, but comes from the Catholic sect.

Honestly, really solid First Episode, I agree Millies New Voice doesn't fit her character, and the recent shipping BS has kind of dampened the Initial Buzz of this project but overall It was far better paced than least years episode, the animation was obviously consistently fluid and Impressive, I loved the contrast of the artificially cheery human world opening, works well as a visual contrast with the Tartlet edgy goth look of Vivzies depiction of The landscapes of Hell. Moxy being depicted as the more sympathetic of the Demon Group worked well as a catalyst to bring the main conflict involving I.M.Ps redneck targets. The hilariously dark ending of Moxys more humane methods and sympathetic character greying lead to an even more brutal fate for the family was a great bit of black humour to bookend the episode. Honestly really hopeful for this Series, despite all the Twitter, fandom cancer/drama I hope Vivzie Is able to secure at least this series success as an ongoing show, Its easily her best.

It's actually fairly common for VAs to voice multiple roles, either with a major VA voicing a minor character or a VA who just does miscellaneous roles.

Its cheaper and easier to just give out a bunch of the minor roles or to give two characters that don't interact a lot to one VA. Hell, if the VA is good enough they can change their voice enough for multiple major characters and no one will notice. The extra amount you pay the VA is a pittance compared to hiring completely new VA for each voice. Its admirable in Viv's attempt to keep the all the voices unique, but ultimately more costly and cumbersome to work around.
