Okay, I rarely believe in a coincidence. But after posting a new chapter for my fic, which okay did show a take on Stellas backstory, I lost two followers. The funny thing is, I kinda gave the impression from the start she wasnt gonna be how shes in S2 or rest or S1. So, either someone was slow on the take or they just now realized it.

It’s even funnier that they both get gooner merch as well. And if Chaz is anything to go by, even if they die they’ll still get merch. Remember, you’re supposed to hate them, unless you want to jerk it to them. We do not hate fandoms nearly as much as we should.

That's my guess anyway, since the two people dropped right after that chapter was posted. But as I said, as no explanation was given, I'll take that as the main reason. An ye, I ain't gonna abandon the project cause of this, could be kinda cowardly by this point.

I can understand Stella and Valentino still getting new merch well after they're killed off (Even if the gooner merch is cringe to begin with) because they're major antagonists who play an important role in the series, Chaz on the otherhand is introduced and killed off in the same episode, isn't ever mentioned again afterwards, and isn't even the main antagonist of said episode.

Now this is weird, and tragic: there are more "wise"/intelligent fandoms that would accept such ideas. I wouldn't necessarily say "consumer material" like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul or The Walking Dead, but something like The Wheel of Time, Lord of The Rings/Arda Universe and especially A Song of Ice and Fire. Humanising characters and perhaps seeing where a dangerous edge in others. Perhaps showing "darker" aspects in Eddard Stark and "lighter" aspects in Tywin Lannister, for example.

In the one episode from season 1 and the leaked one from season 2, we don't see any kids in Heaven. So that leaves us with two options: either kids that are sent up to Heaven immediately get turned into adults, or all kids end up in Hell.

I consider Alastor to be the primary offender for example, personally I haven't seen one well done fic that focuses on him because the authors almost always without fail treat his manipulative tactics as legitimate feelings, when it's crystal clear in the show he very rarely means what he says. He has a grand total of one scene where it's shown he might have grown to at least somewhat care about the Hotel, but he basically flat out says he's sweeping those feelings under the rug after Adam kicks his ass and he's crying about it in his ruined radio tower.

Seriously, I'm not sure  any Alastor focused fic doesn't woobify him in some form or fashion at the end of the day.

The only people who weren't fooled were Lilith-probably-Rosie and Lucifer.

Yeah I think highlighting he's nothing more than an opportunistic predator and a bully who can put on a good show would be an excellent turn for his character. Also barring perhaps Son of Sam, all serial killers have a sexual angle to their killings to some degree so we can also imply that Alastor is most likely a rapist as well.

Also barring perhaps Son of Sam, all serial killers have a sexual angle to their killings to some degree so we can also imply that Alastor is most likely a rapist as well.

Exactly. It seems all sociopaths & serial killers, not necessarily psychopaths (but that's my understanding) HATE when their victims get away; they will try again and again until their victims die. And they all have a "recurring degeneracy" so to speak to them. Sexual aggression being one of them, so you bet Alastor would have it.

In this hypothetical story, Adam, unfazed by a mere serial killer like Alastor would put him in place and would (maybe) just get wounded by Niffty by mere luck. But Alastor would be furious: his mask would have slipped and his real persona revealed. Charlie would pretend to not have seen who he really is, while Vaggie now has leverage over him. And what to say of the real king of Hell himself? Who's the "short one" now? That makes for an interesting dynamic.

I used to occasionally lurk the /hhg/ thread on /trash/ as a guilty pleasure following the leaks. There was one major Alastor writer, and some of her shorter fics made him downright nasty. Though the longer ones did attempt to give him more emotional depth. The last one I read was about him as a young boy getting groomed, I presume leading to his psychopathy. It was weird thinly veiled fetish material, but interesting to hear her describe his violent thoughts and how he initially tried to suppress them. They were getting another Alastor fic as well about his childhood, but the updates were slow.
