What I really don't get is the hair. I think every human we've seen so far who turned into a demon has the same hair shape/character silhouette shape they had when they were alive (Pentious, Angel Dust, Emberlynn and the other humans from Helluva) but somehow Alastor's hair went from this curl pattern to the straight, spiky bob undercut?

Because it's obvious Viv didn't want to change Alastor's main design to reflect the fact his design as a human got changed.

My swarthy Libyan ass couldn’t have, and I pass very well for an Italian. The likelihood of someone like Alastor doing so is abysmally low. That being said, I do love how Viv just made him a few shades darker, rather than give him black facial features. If you lightened his skin he’d easily be a white man. That's not entirely true. Some serial killers (Son of Sam would be one) substitute the act of killing for actual sexuality, whether due to physical inability to function or some other ritualistic reason. I'll point out even Son of Sam had such a sexual motive, because he specifically targeted couples engaged in sexual relations.

Alastor also has a respecting whammens side to him, as we see in his comic, where he is polite to women and goes into a rage when someone harms one. I would think he was probably a gay asexual, and cannibalism would be the displaced form of his sexuality, and that he probably mainly killed and ate men.

Creoles really ranged from people who literally just looked white to unambiguously black people, with a fair amount who could pass the "paper bag test" one way or the other. Vivz just didn't think this out very well considering how long she's had this character.

If I recall correctly Viv said that he’d had sexual encounters with Mimzy while drunk. My experience with repressed gays is that they often become frothing misogynists like our boy Fuentes. Alastor was Viv’s OG husbando, so I personally think part of her reasoning to make him asexual was to keep the fangirls at bay. Otherwise he’d be run of the mill straight.

On the topic of Creoles, they could literally be just white. A French/Spanish mix is just as Creole as a French/African mix. I’m assuming Alastor has African ancestry, in which it would be impossible for him to have more than a quarter based on Viv’s description.

Eh, I doubt it. Most I think we'll get is how Lucifer DID plan to start a 2nd war, but when Charlie was born he abandoned those ideas, while Roo/Eve never did as she wanted to have revenge on Heaven and Hell at the same time.

That's a good point. I just automatically thought that it would have to be up in New York since Mimzy said he visited the club frequently that she regularly performed at.

Though, I don't think we can confirm yet that Alastor died in his 40s in 1933. Because that was talked about in the pilot days. And stuff talked about during that time shouldn't be considered canon until we get it in thr actual show itself.

Kind of out of the blue, since I was thinking of writing up a full rewrite here but scraped it, I still think Carmilla is one of the most shit characters of Hazbin, for the simple fact she's on paper a ruthless arms dealer but in practice the one thing the show makes it seem like she did bad was trying to cover up the fact angels are vulnerable to their own weaponry. It blindingly obvious who Viv wants you like or dislike.
