Alastor fangirls everywhere unequivocally dislike the new human Alastor design, kek. Everyone assumed he'd look...well...different, based on an old doodle Vivzie drew of him once during a livestream:

Though the longer ones did attempt to give him more emotional depth. The last one I read was about him as a young boy getting groomed, I presume leading to his psychopathy. It was weird thinly veiled fetish material, but interesting to hear her describe his violent thoughts and how he initially tried to suppress them. They were getting another Alastor fic as well about his childhood, but the updates were slow.

Did some searching and possibly found the person you’re referring to.

Tbh i wouldn’t say it’d be far fetched if growing up Alastor did had a messed up childhood involving stuff like that, almost all serial killers either have the most messed up or typical while not perfect but decent childhood

While I do think Al’s new human design has issues imo (Should’ve made him appear more older, maybe even give him a beard and/or made him less stick thin). The old one ain’t worth fighting about since he’s twink character number 586 in the Viv roaster

On /hhg/ they seemed disappointed, but accepting. There were, if I recall, three or four dedicated fangirls who posted there. The aforementioned writer, who’d also occasionally post artwork, was perhaps the most well known, and also the most divisive. But that’s a whole other can of worms. I don’t really know how they reacted to the leaks on Reddit, but it seems to be a virtue signal to squawk about not having seen them, so I don’t think we’ll get a good feel for community sentiment for a while yet, if ever due to fear of being called ‘racist’.

Yes, that’s it, the Camp Fawn one I believe. Dahmer is the only serial killer that had a fairly normal childhood (correct me if I’m wrong), most of them experienced abuse one way or another. It’s completely possible for Alastor to have been abused at one point. This particular fic interested me because we get a female predator (rare) and it doesn’t seem too out there, especially if he were vulnerable in some way, be it a shitty home-life, bullying, racial abuse, what have you.

Too bad Lucifer gets into a petty one-upping competition with Alastor to prove that is not the case. Unless the point was to show that no matter how powerful you are, pride will lead to you looking no more than a fool.

But who am I kidding? I know that was not the case. Viv just wanted these two to have a musical number with each other without thinking any deeper about the implications. She just wants a visual spectacle. And shipping fuel.

Honestly probably in the minority here but this is somewhat of an upgrade from the older one. (Bare minimum bc they gave him darker skin i guess lol)

I don’t hate it. The only thing I don’t like is the fact that it’s an obvious retcon to appease twitter far left faggots.

Edit to add: Why does his body fail to exist from chest level down though? There’s a lot of detail in the face/upper torso, but it’s almost as if Viv said ‘fuck it, I’m just drawing mostly straight lines for the remainder of the body’. Where are his hips, his fucking knees?

I think every human we've seen so far who turned into a demon has the same hair shape/character silhouette shape they had when they were alive (Pentious, Angel Dust, Emberlynn and the other humans from Helluva) but somehow Alastor's hair went from this curl pattern to the straight, spiky bob undercut?

My swarthy Libyan ass couldn’t have, and I pass very well for an Italian. The likelihood of someone like Alastor doing so is abysmally low. That being said, I do love how Viv just made him a few shades darker, rather than give him black facial features. If you lightened his skin he’d easily be a white man. From my understanding he’s a quadroon?

Lucifer needed to be an unbothered aryan rebellious demigod messenger; or perhaps a menacing character that would show that he is much greater than a menacing foe, with soft spots. "Your waif left u" speaks the phony, give me a break, the fandom makes Alastor make him seem like he is the one who should swap with Lucifer. But yes, Pride was Lucifer's main source of misery.

Also barring perhaps Son of Sam, all serial killers have a sexual angle to their killings to some degree so we can also imply that Alastor is most likely a rapist as well.

That's not entirely true. Some serial killers (Son of Sam would be one) substitute the act of killing for actual sexuality, whether due to physical inability to function or some other ritualistic reason. I'll point out even Son of Sam had such a sexual motive, because he specifically targeted couples engaged in sexual relations.

Alastor also has a respecting whammens side to him, as we see in his comic, where he is polite to women and goes into a rage when someone harms one. I would think he was probably a gay asexual, and cannibalism would be the displaced form of his sexuality, and that he probably mainly killed and ate men.

Creoles really ranged from people who literally just looked white to unambiguously black people, with a fair amount who could pass the "paper bag test" one way or the other. Vivz just didn't think this out very well considering how long she's had this character.
