Edit: to give a summary: Stella tries to kill Stolas with a blessed pistol. Striker is holding Octavia at knifepoint and forcing her to watch because reasons, I guess?

Anyway, I.M.P. busts in and Striker gets killed. Blitzo stabs Stella with a blessed dagger just as she's about to kill Stolas and she squeezes the trigger as she goes down. Stella, despite being in the middle of getting stabbed and just pulling the trigger without aiming, somehow nails her daughter square in the center of the torso. Via and Stolas have an "emotional" scene where she dies in his arms and he lets out a Vader-esque NNNOOOOOOOO!!!! The end.

I don't know why people assume Stella was physically abusive to Stolas before the affair. Because she was about to slap him that one time...which he caught by the way? Before the affair, all we saw was Stella make petty remarks about Stolas. And Stolas was mostly just annoyed by her, not terrified or cowering. She didn't start throwing shit around and yelling until after the affair.

And may I remind you that the affair had been going on for quite a while at that point. Episode 2 is not the day after the first time Stolas and Blitzø fucked. It's after another time. Which makes sense for why Stella is reacting the way she is. She caught them doing in in their bed; AGAIN. No wonder Octavia is used to this whole ordel by now. Her mom screeching at her dad and her dad just obsessing over this random imp has been going for at least a month. Maybe even longer.

This is Stolas and Vassago all over again. I look at those two and if I didn't know better, I'd say they were siblings if shown a photo with no context. Vassago is just Stolas recovered with glasses, like a tracer with a base made him.

Which reminds me, are Jackie and Camilla supposed to be bird people? The colors scream "macaw" to me. Way to go for Viv making her animal characters somewhat unidentifiable, too, unless they have visible tails, ears, and fangs. I haven't seen Jackie's legs, though, and I have a feeling they could at least be identified through the thickness if their legs and thighs. Jackie looks skinnier, so maybe there's a fairer chance of identifying who's who.

Vassago and Stolas are of TWO DIFFERENT SPECIES and somehow look too similar. I don't even know what Stella is even supposed to be! Is she a peacock? An eagle? Others said swan (ffs I swear if Viv can't draw a SWAN'S BILL to make it identifiable for shit). I'm sure we assumed she was another owl at first. A secretary bird? This is assuming their father is another bird species or a shapeshifter.

The bills of birds are their most prominent feature along with their tails and legs. If Vivziepop is so obsessed with making animal features so prominent, she could do that with birds! Like. Stolas is the owl with a small beak but give him long legs just like the picture in the real goetia. Andrealphus is a peacock, so make his beak longer and straighter and make his tail more prominent. Vassago is a parrot, so make his beak curvier like in the Rio pics I put here and the color explains itself. Stella is a secretary bird, so make her beak straighter (showing she's related to Andy) and her legs thicker with bigger calves like Camilla because secretary birds are good kickers (but we cannot see Stella in other outfits despite her being a vain character, only Stolas, which speaks volumes on how Viv views her - the excuse of "female Goetias cannot wear pants or short clothing" won't work because Via wears pants and a background goetia is shown wearing a short skirt though that was someome's self-insert).

Birds are a varied species. It's just how viv chooses to draw.

I also find hilarious that Blitzo has to introduce himself to octavia after stolas dies and explains he was his lover, because the writer forgot she knows him and Stolas didn't tell her. It just makes stolas look like an asshole who still kept fucking blitzo in secret and didn't spend time with his daughter.

Seeing this thread go from light glazing to a chat room casually dunking on viv's shows has been kino, but I had trouble finding the anon ex-employee reviews and s2 leaks. That should be on the first page alongside twitter tea (written by viv meme, scott cawthon dox), the kendraws doc, the pilot va betrayal, basically anything a kiwi who doesn't know what the fuck a fucking hazbin hotel is can look at and go "fuck, fuck this show".

At the same time, the thread's lack of focus on the physical media produced by viv is just as much of a testament to how conceptually impotent both shows are. Everyone here talks about "stolas could have been x" and "alastor could have been x" as points of contention, but no one dwindles on what the characters are in the show. Because its more fun to discuss all the things these demons from hell could have been compared to what the show is, which makes me wonder if OP should have a big list of kiwi au's instead.

Then again, shitbin motel people are just as retarded as viv fans. They tried this au shit too. A lot of them redesign the show completely instead of refining the characters, like they're so deaf with their viv-hatred that they can't sharpen the designs already there.

And to go back to Zoophobia, where Cameron (Cameron who?) became a background character in a series named after her phobia, Blitzie (Stolas has renamed him), despite being the lead character the whole series is named after, is now just a butt monkey to Stolas. Might as well be the Stolas show at this point.

Also it just shows disrespect that he hates the Blitzie name but Stolas calls him that anyway. He's just some imp plaything.

The swan thing intitally made sense as her beak was more wider in the first season.
But then season 2 came along and shrunk it because I guess since they decided to make Andrealphus her brother who's a peacock, they wanted her to look more like a peahen. And her beak has been shrinking ever since.

I would like to remind everyone that Stolas has been stabbed multiple times by angelic weapons and came out pretty much fine after a week or two in the hospital. He also very much enjoys when Blitzø uses fucking bear traps on him during sex. So Stella giving Stolas a slap should have no affect on him whatsoever.

I didn't even think she may have supposed to be a Swan until someone said so. Like I said, the beak can emphasize that, but no, Viv cannot design various, distinguishable characters for shit. I actually thought she was another owl in a more distinguishable style just to say "oh this is Stolas and this one is Stella." That beak is too pointy to be that of a swan's even before Andrealphus.

I suspect, again, that the Verosika's succubus group, both demon and human forms, weren't even designed by Viv. Same goes for Mrs. Mayberry, the evil family, Loopty Goopty and the business partner, and Mr. Wiggles. They have a different feel to them design-wise. Stolas, Vassago, and Stella? Designed by Viv indeed.
