Speaking of which? Scott has deleted his website that had the retirement post there alongside his FNAF's website.

No idea what the flying fuck is going on but it's not looking good mates
It’s not deleted, it’s just completely blank when you go there. The website is still active.

Agreed. I was pissed when I realized Mettaton (the David Bowie robot from Undertale) was not, in fact, just a unabashedly fabulous man, but a thinly veiled trans metaphor. Hoping it doesn't happen with angel, I've jacked off to huskerdust too many times to just eject now.
God. Mettaton is also a perfectly fine character, I'm sick of troons. Also as TMI as that is, I do have feelings for the stupid asshole. I cant think of many other times anyone added a legitimately edgy gay character to anything. Although its amusing to think of a troon openly calling Husk a nigger.

I thought it was Hell doing that, not Heaven. I'd actually like more on the mechanics of how these purges happen. Is it because the people purged are too evil? Or, alternately, too good? Or is it completely random? We have no information on this.

So far, we've only personally encountered four actual people from Heaven. One of them is Deerie, who is a hideously awful bureaucrat literally VA'ed by the creator of the show. But the other three are pretty obviously well intentioned and even nice characters, including Keenie, also voiced by Vivz (the adorable sheep).
Its confusing, because there's nothing to indicate that the Exorcists (just looked it up and found they've since been renamed since I last read up on this stuff) are angels and they're not named directly, but we do see a representation of them plus a glimpse in the pilot:

Exterminators 1.jpg
Exterminators 2.jpg

Now the exact details of who the Exorcists are is unclear. They're said to be angels, and agents of Heaven, but beyond that they could have any number of degrees of independence. They could be fallen angels doing what they think is God's work, they could be a schismatic faction of some kind within the angels, could potentially be a demon ruse (though would they be feared by even Hell's greatest warlords if they were just really powerful demons?) etc. All we know is that they carry out the job of thinning out Hell's numbers and that this is apparently mandated by Heaven.

The easiest, and therefore lamest, solution is that they are an accepted part of Heaven's hiearchy, but are just held in low regard or ignored by Heaven's population so they don't have to think about that nasty business of purging Hell all the time. I would like to think they're not going to go this route, but, well, I'm not exactly going to be surprised if they do.

The nature of the exterminations themselves we have a general idea about. Hell's population is purged just because its at capacity, which is what that rotary dial on the clock tower in the opening indicates. The higher-up demons cloister away in their own private locations, and apparently will shelter allies as well. For instance we see the TV-headed demon lord hanging out with Angel's pimp; in a supplemental tweet they say explicitly that he's waiting out the extermination there. The other demons just try to find refuge indoors anywhere they can, also as indicated by everyone emerging from buildings in the opening.

So we've got a kind of class struggle plot going on too, where the poor and non-influential demons who lack a safe place to hide are allowed to be slaughtered by the Exorcists, plus one imagines the warlords of Hell encourage violence and warfare amongst the population to thin it out more so the Exorcists don't have to stay longer than they need. Again, we don't know their exact relationship to the overlords of Hell, so we don't know what kind of deal they've cut with them, if any.

(If anyone is wondering I got most of this information from reading blog posts about the series when it first came out, but now its since been collected on the fucking massive wiki.)

I think the most interesting thing that could be done in terms of plot or lore would be the twist that the exorcists are actually just demons LARPing as angels in order to try and get good graces so they can live the easy life up in heaven, but knowing vivz she probably won't go with that idea and will just do something cookie-cutter and droll that looks sort of flashy like she always does.

I somewhat dislike this idea becuase it is in itself just as cookie cutter as the "Heaven is actually just as bad as Hell" idea. I think it would be much more plausible if the Exorcists were fallen angels, not allowed back into Heaven for some minor (or perhaps even various) charge(s) who took up demon killing for their own reasons. You could even give each one differing reasons for why they kill demons: some hate them, some believe redemption is impossible and thus oblivion is a mercy, some don't care and are under the false impression it will win them favor with Heaven, etc.

I don't like the idea that they're just a demon trick because its anticlimactic. The fallen angel angle would allow the story to criticize Heaven without neccesarily portraying Heaven as in itself corrupt as evil too, which I think would be the direction that would make everyone happy while also allowing the most freedom for the characters.

That’s a rising possibility I’ve been dreading since the fourth episode. I just wish there could be more western works that didn’t revolve into anti-theism. The whole “heaven is as bad as hell you guys” gets kind of stale when nothing else is done with it.

This goes for pretty much any animator on twitter right now; even those employed by big companies like WB and Disney tend to act the same way and have no tard wranglers around. Craig McCracken might be the only one to actually use Twitter for just promoting his shows and talking about production.
Which begs the question: is it that hard to make a professional twitter account and then a second account for personal use?

Hell, try any fan community over the past decade.
The guy who created Regular show just uses his twitter to promote animation.
Reminds me of this idiotic Zombie Simpsons episode I watched the other day, where the city was forced to ban the teaching of evolution in school in favor of creationism. The whole thing comes off as a one-sided screed against religion, basically boiling down to "science good, religion bad". Never mind all the times where religion actually pushed science forward, like in the dark ages, where the religious were the ones keeping scientific growth alive.
I agree I grew up with both science and religion from my father and how they go together.

I posted this video on the Clownfish TV thread but wanna post it here as well for people who didn't see it. VPops has defenders and their name is Clownfish TV the white knights of the animation community.

I'm still just not convinced by halos on things that look otherwise exactly like demons and are literally dripping with the blood of the murdered. If these are angels they're the terrifying Old Testament kind, and they don't even appear to be killing particularly evil demons, just the ones too dumb or helpless to run away.

I don't see Alastor ever getting taken out by one of these. He strikes me as the type who might even stay out during a purge just to kill a couple of these things himself for fun.

I'd honestly love to see this series go full Old Testament since that's where all the fun shit is, but I'm not sure the creators are ambitious enough to try it.

They clearly have a quota to fill. I assume there's some kind of deal struck with Hell's hierarchy to keep the leadership from getting wasted, but we just don't know yet.

Possibly, though the latest Helluva Boss episode indicated that if you have the right equipment, killing an immensely ancient and powerful demon like Stolas is just as simple as pulling a Lee Harvey Oswald with a fancy rifle. Probably complete with literally being able to curve the bullet too. We do see at least two powerful demons (Vox and Valentino) hiding away during the extermination, which means they pose some kind of immediate danger. Interfering with their efforts is probably not a good idea even if you can take a few of them down though since it would invite retaliation.

The wiki article also says they have LED displays for faces (wut) which leads me to believe they're robotic in some way. Possibly to get around that "no killing anything" rule in Heaven, if you send a robot to do the dirty work for you it doesn't count? I dunno how much stock I'd put in that idea though.

I have no evidence at all for this theory, but I also suspect there's some connection between Alastor and the Exorcists. I think he either associates with them in some way or is particuarly adept at traveling in their wake and using the power gap they cause to increase his influence. The only thing I have to base this idea on is my story instinct though, I haven't seen anything that directly corroborates it.

Well, Alastor is apparently actually a cannibal. There isn't actually any direct evidence I know about this other than in the comic where, despite being a deer demon, he goes into a butcher shop to buy venison (and also feeds eggs to birds).

I would assume this suggests a background as a cannibal serial killer.

He also seems to have an oddly moralistic attitude towards demons, despite being one of the worst of them himself.

And there's the fact that he looks remarkably similar to them, although they have horns and he has ears.

An interesting implication of the idea that Alastor is actually involved with the Exterminators somehow is that the people in the hotel will actually be protected from them.

I think you'd have to catch him unaware, though. He hired the imps as bodyguards, but when Blitzo completely fucked up and left him unguarded, he just casually petrified one of his would-be assassins. I'm not sure if Striker is immune to that but he's really the only one out there who seems like any kind of actual threat (assuming his wife doesn't just decide to murder him herself).

Oh jesus. Please tell me Angel didnt get retconned into being trans. Hes one of the only characters I've actually liked in years, apart from being really cute and endearing.
I think @Private Pyle was talking about that trans imp that appeared in Helluva Boss episode 5.
Yeah just to clarify I was referring to Sallie May, Millie’s trans sister who showed up in the latest episode. It was only for a total of a minute and was fairly inoffensive but damn did the fanbase pounce all over it.
On the subject of Angel Dust, it is bizarre to remember that both these characters exist in the same universe.

Moxxie also mentioned in the same episode that in the wars in hell Blessed weapons have become a lot more common, who knows perhaps one of the plot points is going to be that the barriers between heaven, hell and earth are degrading.

Sounds to me like they're about to pull an "America/Colonizer Nation bad because it sell weapons to poor country to make them fight" Allegory. Which is also boring, and done to death. It could be degradation, but I believe it's more like Heaven just secretly shipping the weapons down to Hell - Just like Obama's Fast and Furious scandal.

Yeah, America does that. Yes It's fucked-up. No, the corrupt brass that rule this nation shouldn't do it and should probably be hanged for their high-crimes - But every time writers use this tired plot device, it's always used to justify mass unfettered immigration - which directly harms both populations, and we all know woke writers just can't resist.

Now, normally I wouldn't dare think of this Military-industrial-complex bullshit were it not for the fact that I'm now very aware that Vivxie is a plastic leftist bitch. Just like that cunt Sh0e.

What the fuck are you talking about?

If I just canceled any project where the creators acted like retards on social media I'd have nothing to watch at all, at least not by anyone living.

Amen. I'll enjoy Hazbin Hotel & Helluva Boss so long as they don't go to shit, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to poke fun at someone on the team whenever they do something stupid on Twitter.

I'm still skeptical of the overall quality of the product but if anyone has their views of the shows spoiled by this I wouldn't blame em 😅

I'm skeptical in the sense where I could see this turning out in the best worst case scenario to be pretty decent ( best case scenario is turning out to be pretty great) and in the worst worse case scenario to be a pile of wasted potential.

Shit in a bucket Vivzie, I had a feeling you'd make the mob turn on you and in a big way but not before 5 fucking years have passed! That might be a record.
Off-topic but I think what Monster Lover meant with "(god knows it's bad in general)" wasn't in a "I hate the gays" way but a "I hate the groupthink and divisiveness in this supposed homo shangri-la". and they'd be right. Gay people are humans and like other humans they want to live, fuck love and be left alone. But LGBTXYZs want to control others' lives and make everything about them while dragging other gays down. For fucks sake, they plastered buttugly colors all over their once eye-seering but kinda pretty rainbow flag! Fuck the gay "community", packing fudge and eating tacos doesn't make you better than everyone else. It makes you nasty hoes with God complexes who need the kind of help that doesn't require an internet connection.

And so it begins.

I wish people would just learn to shut up and stay off social media. I think everyone would be a lot happier.
jlongb0ne is fuckin rad.
But muh validation of my beliefs from total strangers that have a 50% chance of being bots!

I really like her shows, but seeing her making comments like this all the time can really tarnish my enjoyment of it. Thankfully, I avoid reading her Twitter for the most part.
Same. I follow the HH, Spindlehorse and HB twitters since all they do is post updates, shop sales and retweets stuff from crew. You know. The shit people actually care about and not politely pretend to not care about when Vivzie et al spew their "mental health is important" speeches?

Jesus fucking Christ. What the fuck is with these art fucks and throwing people under the bus after people supported them from a hate mob? J. Scott Campbell did this last month. Is there a level of tardness that you reach that accomplishes this?
Simple really: brand safety. To engage in unacceptable behavior like you're a juvenile who's young enough to get away with it is poison to brands. You want to keep making money in this company? Then zip your lips, nod to the sweaty fan nice customer and dance monkey dance.

Campbell's case is a special one though. He got dunked on by Tumblr back when that cover was new and kept his tongue tied. Fast forward to years after the fact and it was gaining traction again (and during "pencils down" at the comic studios) must've made him snap. That only confuses me more why he backpedaled when he was absolutely right in what he did.

Vivzie you mealy-mouthed bitch why would you admit that??? Now they have the right one because you caught a serious case of foot-in-mouth disease and refuse to take the cure: get off twitter

Alright, I'm genuinely curious. When some online celebrity says that they've been "doxxed," does it mean that somebody actually illegally leaked their personal information online, or did somebody just look up their name in the White Pages and deduce what the specific listing would be based on that person's social media postings? In the former case, I'd totally sympathize with the situation, but the latter seems to be the most common scenario of "doxxing" on social media, and I can't help but think that the "doxxed" person in question is partially responsible for the information getting outed.
vivzie being anywhere close to celeb status. :story:

Twitter is so fucked up, literally everyone who has a Twitter account could immediately improve their lives immensely by just deleting it. It's like telling someone "you know shooting heroin into your eyeballs isn't a good idea" and they freak out at you. But yet, people keep using this "utterly fuck up your whole life by just clicking on this site" hellhole.
At this point, twatter is sadly the window to some people's outside worlds. If that window was viewed with binoculars.......worn backwards. However outside worlds aka countries like Nigeria and India are realizing they don't need Twitter's window to view the world for themselves.

Twitter is the one website that literally can bring out the worst in anyone and if someone is too consumed by twitter, they can become a scumbag.
That's anything really. Addiction comes in all forms and does just as much damage as the next thing.

That's bullshit. When you become a full legal adult you can choose to continue the things your parents/guardians raised you on to raise your kids with or not. Thinking no religion is the answer for everyone is no different from thinking religion is the answer for everyone. Live free or die bitches.

lol calm down you apparently didn't see the second video about the debacle:

TL;DW Kneon and Geeky did defend Scott's donations and even go so far as to see other companies who are dawning gay flags right now who they donated to ans SHOCKER! A lot of them donated to republicans (including Trump) as well as democrats (comcast donated more to reds than blues! Comcast.) showing if twatter wants to play their cancel games for a high score than there you go.

ClownfishTV are becoming the Tim pools of media news channels I'll admit but like Tim pool they try to be as grey as they can but more often than not just repeat what they hear from grapevines and not what they know for a fact, thus spreading disinfo and picking a side on accident. They're grifters but not malicious ones.

I mean she always has been. Can't believe people have entertained her bull for so long
She's some broad who draws not that badly and people wanted to see more, twatterperging thankfully optional.

This sentence can be twisted to fit every fucking lolcow on here.

On-topic regarding Heaven and Hell: If Vivzie wants to play this smart she could show the ups and downs of both places for souls. Heaven is bright and peaceful but boring and overbearing. Hell is wild and free but intense and depressing. Both of them have different forms of suffering and bring about desires to escape. Just like Earth. The soul is an immortal force of existence that, depending on your beliefs, needs to change forms and realms every few years or else it'll do something fucking incomprehensibly destructive and weird. Someone or something has to do their part to make sure the balance stays balanced, warts and all. But when the balance gets tipped over even for a second? That could make a pretty bitchin story. But again that's IF she wants to play it smart and not go for the "heaven is for losers, hell is for the cool kids cuz demons and drugs and magic ftw" copout.
