I think the angle Vivzie was getting at was that in a full-on Hell-Kamehameha fight, Charlie would live and Alastor would die, but everyone near the event would die too. Charlie, much like Goku, doesn't want anything like that to happen.

If that's the case I would expect some spots in the show where Alastor is pushing people around, or fully attacking someone, but hesitates to do the same to Charlie.
I don't think Alastor would ever actually attack the hotel. He views its success or failure as a confirmation or denial of his personal philosophy. Cheating at that wouldn't do, as it wouldn't prove anything. Also he seems to have a soft spot for Charlie.

I feel like people trying to have DBZ power level discussions about this shows characters are sort of missing the point.
I was giving my impression based on the ways the characters were interacting and possibly visual cues. I suppose I should have expected there to be DBZ-like power levels in this setting, though.

Well, why wouldn't there be? Look at the characters. It's literally radio (Alastor) versus video (Vox) also fuck Vox. Their enmity is part of the fight of Heaven vs. Hell.

I'm on the fuck Vox side.

We getting a Hazbin movie night when it releases if it warrants it?

Can't wait for chat to burn like the original EC Henry video airing.
The pilots of both shows ran at one point somewhere around when they came out. I was still drinking heavily back then so I passed out and wasn't there to see the chat reaction. Can't be worse than some of the shit we've run though.

Could do a test run when the last part of helluva season 1 comes out and see people rage about gay owls.

We'll need to fill time on Hazbin Hotel night most likely so i'm going to save it for that. If you have further suggestions take this to the Movienight PM so we can stop shitting up the thread.

Man these April's fools jokes are getting wild! Oh, no it's not? Well shit. Seriously don't care for casting big name actors in VA roles who the fuck cares who voices a character besides the fucking voice? Is a big name even a draw for movies anymore? It's like when Destiny announced that a main thing was voiced by Peter Dinkledge and it's like so fucking what? All that means is that you spent more than you should have for a meh result and is hard to get back + expensive for any future content, well done you can burn money.

I dunno. I was pretty impressed when Vivz somehow has Norman Reedus in an episode, not even with Hazbin out, and does a great performance for what must have been peanuts.

It just says something for whether I should continue to invest more attention to something that might just go sideways or cease to exist, when the creator is apparently some kind of mega-monster of self-promotion, with an almost Tolkien-level obsession with characters you might not even ever see. She's really good at world-building, has thought a lot about the universe she's presenting.

Imagine this concept, really good world-builders have created characters with their own personalities, characteristics, desires, motivations, and plot arcs. If you're someone like Vivz, I think you will be occasionally shocked when one of your tulpas characters does something you never expected.

Also just in general, the new VAs seem all to be equipped with a nice set of lungs. Are these the singing VAs or is there some new policy that the singing and acting VAs will be the same person?

Oh I don't mind the bit parts thing, it's just sad that the lesser VAs have been replaced considering I think they did steller jobs from the getgo to be potentially replaced by big names.
