I'm genuinely curious if there are any straight characters in Viv's work? Pretty much everyone's either currently gay or retconned to gay. I don't have a problem with gay people and even I think the shows are to fucking queer. It boring and repetitive at this point.

It's hard to say because you only get confirmation about a character's sexuality when they are some sort of gay. And even when they haven't been confirm gay, people like to theorize that they might be a little gay. Like Loona and Millie, who have only shown interest in males in the show. But because one says another female is hot because she's awkward at making small talk at parties, and the other wanted to know what sex with a female popstar with like because they're a popstar, that means they must be bi! Because people can't find the same sex as them remotely good looking unless they're gay.

It's kind of ironic that the more a creator makes one of their character unsympathetic, the more sympathy the general audience feels towards them. I'll use Stella as an example, since she's the one that falls greatly in this category.

A ton of people still hate on stella because they're stolitz shippers but i agree with what you mean. Vivzie keeps tripling down on stella being evil so hard yet Stella is just if not more worth of sympathy as stolas.

1-Vivzie paints Stella as evil for trying to kill stolas but really, that's THE ONE TIME you can use hell as excuse because killing is the normalized. It's not even illegal or else Stolas would've done something?

2-Vivzie paints stella's rage as something so extreme, it accidentally humanizes her because it makes it clear Stella feels genuinely bad for getting cheated. Afterall, why is Stolas allowed to be loved and not her?

3-Vivzie ruins the idea they loved each other marriage by revealing it was arranged but that means Stella never had a choice in her life, she literally only exists to make a heir for a goetia and that's depressing.

4-Vivzie reveals Stela is willing to lose the money if she kill stolas makes it clear Stela never cared about the money at all and she dodges all the gold digger allegations.

5-Vivzie makes Stella dumb and manipulated by her brother makes her even more sympathetic. as it proves not even her own family loves her and they only see her as a pawn.

No matter how you spin this, Stella is tragic. Sure, Stolas is too but why is he allowed to get sympathy and not her? The worst stella did was hire a hitman which our protagonists are too, and now she gave up so really, stella is has nothing left, she is a pathetic loser at this point.

I don't mean to talk about Stella so much, but she's just so interesting. Not her character mind you, but how poorly she's written. She's probably one of the worst written villain characters in media I've ever seen. Even the most basic, one-dimensional villains have some kind of motive. Stella doesn't because her actions I always conflicting themselves.

Stella hated Stolas the moment they got married, but she still for some reason slept in the same bed with him even after Octavia was born. She has no care for her family, but still went to a rip off of a theme park that only imps go to because her daughter lived going there as a kid. She didn't care that Stolas cheated on her, only that it was with someone who was lower class, but still hired a hitman because he's a "cheating prick". She has no interest in her daughter as she barely acknowledges her, but she doesn't want Stolas to turn Octavia against her and still takes her for the weekends. She's a woman that is high class and doesn't want to appear as an embarrassment to the ars goetia, but she is constantly yelling profanities out in public and belittling her husband to her associates. She is a spoiled brat that only cares about wealth and status, but doesn't care that Octavia will get all of it if Stolas' dies.

I've seen so many YouTubers trying to explain Stella's character and the writing for her, but it just ends up in a confusing mess. Because whatever they say will always be conflicted by what the show says.

I've seen so many YouTubers trying to explain Stella's character and the writing for her, but it just ends up in a confusing mess. Because whatever they say will always be conflicted by what the show says.

Stella is fascinating to me as a character that has almost no screentime yet still gets retconned or contradicted every new scene she appears. If i had to guess, i'd say Vivzie didnt put much long term thinking (shock i know) about Stella's own goal, which is why stella changes from ex-wife to "yaoi story villain" as the focus shifts to stolitz.

1-If HB is funny then stella's marriage is funny and equal -> wait this is a gay drama so stella abuse has to be played straight.

2-If HB is a gay drama then stella needs to be threaten stolas' life -> wait stella CANT be a threat because this plotline is not sustainable long term so she has to quit. -> then wtf stella gonna do now idk just setup her brother as a bigger villain or something

3-If Stolas is a cheater then he to have a fallen love background -> wait we already went too far with stella so we need to pretend they never loved each other. -> Wait that would mean Stolas had no reason to cheat on Stella with blitzo -> make him and blitzo childhood friends so it's gay and unproblematic! (?)

Stella feels like a snowball of bad decisions, with vivzie realizing she didnt setup things in a way that makes sense and now she needs to change her to fit the current mold but she fails, then trying to fix that and failing again, over and over. It's very RWBYesque in that way.

I can't put my finger on it but everyone looks slightly off. Like they don't belong in the scenery. Could they not even put like a shadow on the ground where the characters are standing to show that they are actually there and not just plastered on? Also...

Something I noticed all sneak peeks having is this weird blurry black outline around all the characters. It makes them stand out in a VERY subtle way, but you can feel they don't belong in their environment.

Why did they composite like this?
