God I hated these two when it was revealed they were dating. Vox seemed like a seriously dangerous and powerful adversary to Alastor that he hated enough to break his gentleman facade and curse out under his breath, and was stated to be strong enough to cause hell-wide power outages when angry (no idea how that works with the whole ring system), then the Instagram revealed him to be Valentino's battered little bitch and actually Val's calling all the shots.
Also, the fandom's getting wayyy too comfortable about the actual confirmed rapist pimp, I swear. (You can legit see him forcing himself on Angel in the Addict video and they've been leaning toward the tumblr sexyman angle for a little too long.)

I was holding out hope for the longest time that Alastor would be relatively safe from the yaoi fujo shit due to being asexual, and you know, a homicidal cannibal who rampaged through hell for fun, but it's not looking good with how pussy the screenshot of his true form looks compared to the other few times we've seen it.

All they did was slap antlers on his default design. Christ would it kill Viv to make at least one demon actually intimidating.

I feel the real issue is that now she's too old to actually be edgy.

One of the only animations of hers I found to be watchable is the now privated "Die Young" music video.

No demons. No swearing. No safe-edgy stuff. No faggotry (figurative or literal). Just a bunch of colorful characters singing and having fun.

I would LOVE to see her accept a challenge to make a new series and stay within a G (or soft PG) rating. See how well she does then.

I believe her canceled Alice series was going to be more PG like. We'll never know for sure though now.

Stella is fascinating to me as a character that has almost no screentime yet still gets retconned or contradicted every new scene she appears.
And each change is to make her less interesting. Her first appearance was best. Her motivations actually made some sense. And the scene where it's Stolas who goes to comfort Octavia after a nightmare speaks for itself. There was no need to lay it on with a trowel. There was no need to make her motives unintelligible. As presented there, she apparently still wanted to maintain appearances at least for family's sake, even though she despised her husband for being an imp-fucking embarrassment (which he actually is).

But now apparently imp-fucking is just a completely normal part of being demon royalty, and Stella just absolutely hated him from the moment she met him, apparently just because she's pure evil with no motivation.

She did do something like that, called "Bad Luck Jack", I believe it's been brought up in this thread before as being quite... boring. So when she isn't being edgy she's just incredibly boring.

And going off of what @Vyse Inglebard said about the Zoophobia series, this animated series being more about the colourful animal characters than the character afflicted with the titular phobia is a pattern of behaviour of "establish interesting concept and abandon it for the next thing that catches your eye".

I always hated when people said that Stella didn't care about the cheating; that she was only upset that he was sleeping with an imp. If that was the case, I don't think she would have referred to him as a "cheating prick" over the phone. The imp-fucking was just the icing on the cake. And him openly flirting with an imp out in public. And him reading imp erotica at the dinner table with his family........how is Stolas the better person here again?

Another consequence of Vivzie's lack of foresight, her normalizing 2 sins fucking hounds/imps and another selling imp sex toys means Stella becomes even more vindicated because it's less about the class and more about the cheating. If she always hated stolas then him cheating shouldnt even upset but it clearly hurt her feelings.

They would NEVER show it but realistically speaking Stella would get mocked 24/7 for getting cucked by an imp of all things. E-Celebs in real live never live down cuck allegations, Stella would have entire social media pages dedicated to laugh at her.

Imagine you're forced from birth into an arranged marriage with a rich faggot, and he cheats on you with some randomass hobo, turns your daughter against you, divorces you and there is literally nothing you can do because you're just "the woman of the house" with zero real power and even your own family wont support you cause they only want money.

No matter how hard vivzie keeps retconning and twisting facts to justify Stolas cheating, the sheer humilation Stella is forced to live through still makes her relatable/sympathetic to some level.

Not to mention, Vivzie has Stella openly call hitmen on Stolas in public places in Hell, so if she cares about being high class, she sure shows a shit job at it.

Christ, you'd think 2 seasons and 15 episodes in we would get SOME kind of interaction between how Stella and Octavia's relationship goes, but we have been shown fuckall NOTHING.
And if you want to give the generous assumption that Stella outright refuses to want anything to do with Octavia (since afterall she's a big mean doodoo head now and always has been), at least show how much of a terrible mom she is dismissing Octavia every chance she had with her by pawning her needs off to her imps or her husband. Having Stolas care after their daughter when she's having a nightmare is barely anything, fucking give us a flashback, a talking scene, or SOMETHING that gives more insight as to how their relationship goes.

In the Ozzy's episode Octavia was with her mom. So apparently they're not alienated. You'd assume that would mean she isn't just a murderous screaming harpy at every moment but we can't possibly see that, even though that strongly suggests they actually have something resembling a relationship.

We know more about Fizz, who's a regularly recurring character, than we do about Millie, who's supposed to be one of main characters of the show. FFS we even know more about the backstory of Moxxie and Chaz's relationship from a single fucking episode than we do about the backstory of Moxxie and Millie's.

The closest we got to Millie being developed was Unhappy Campers, the episode where Moxxie acts like a complete and total retard the entire time (Even if he's been shown up to this point usually being the voice of reason/the straight man) and Millie suddenly having confidence issues out of left field in a show over a dozen episodes in, and Viv has even admitted that the episode was written with Moxxie as the lead in mind.

Wanting to see the relationship between two important characters who aren't in a gay one explored even at a surface level in this show is like asking for the scorpion to not sting the frog as they're going across a river.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you: The Stolitz of Hazbin Hotel

Well, so much for the obvious comedic premise a degenerate gay man pestering and lusting for a dour hardass who wants none of it. Foolish of me to go along with what the pilot lays out when fujo fanshipping since says otherwise. I suppose another aspect to this apparent change of character in Husk (now weirdly all smiles) is that Viv is concerned about getting hounded over stereotyping of predatory gays (never mind that we're dealing of denizens of Hell here), similar to Stolas' predatoriness from the HB pilot getting dropped immediately.

Now I wonder what's to be of the HH pilot's suggestion of shipping the leads Charlie and Alastor. Not to say that they have any business to get outright romantic, but it seems obvious to me that the relationship between the two (mainly in whether she can fix him) ought to be a central point to the entire show, especially if it gets anywhere as dramatic as HB, while also purposefully serving as shipping fuel to the fanbase. But that would be a straight ship, which seems increasingly doubtful that Viv or vocal fujo fans would have any tolerance for.

That and Alastor is canonically asexual to the point there's at least a decent sized chunk of the actual Alphabet People fandom who would go absolutely apeshit about it.

Except for the fact that asexual people can have relationships and sex...I'm not exactly sure how that works but this is the Alphabet community. The rules change all the time.
