I just realized something about Viz's writing and its fans, namely how brainwashed and emasculated they are. Here are two dudes, one having serious beef with the other because he stole his first wife and then fucked the second one. In any normal outcome, you'd cheer for the horned dude to put that fucker six feet in the ground, but not these guys. Nope, they laugh with the asshole at the cucked guy because OMG how dare he be mysogynistic! Nevermind that he never really expressed anything other than an overly enthusiastic enjoyment of women.

I actually liked it in Helluva Boss because the characters are mostly the kind you'd expect to swear a lot. I also liked the fact Moxxie didn't swear a lot and would prefer things like "oh, crumbs." It actually stood out that he had some standards.

Exactly. I will probably always prefer HB over HH. Even with the decay HB has been going through, it’s still better than the final result of HH. It’s akin to the producer’s cut of Halloween 6 vs. the theatrical cut.

If my memory serves, she cursed only once in the pilot (“BITCH?”), and it was only because she had a moment with Katie. In this series, she seems to say “fucking”, and “asshole” out of absolutely nowhere to the point it’s actually jarring, just like Alastor saying, “Fuck you” to Lucifer.

Charlie says 'fuck' and 'shit' in the pilot too. With Alastor, I wouldn't have minded him saying "fuck you" if it were the only time we heard him swear, especially since you can tell Lucifer struck a nerve and made him break character for a moment.

You’re right. I don’t know how I forgot about her saying, “Oh shit.” I mean, our favorite Katie responds, “Oh shit indeed”, so I shouldn’t have forgotten about that. I still don’t remember the Alastor part, though, but I’ll take your word for it.

Edit: Charlie also includes “shit” in a sentence while talking to Vaggie, but that was only because she was quoting something told to her by Lucifer.

I’ll just chalk up Charlie’s acts of cussing in the pilot as “I’m nervous and I don’t know what to do” or “I’m trying to be intimidating but failing miserably” mentality.

Interesting detail I noticed: Sir Pentious appears in a room with Sera and Emily instead of in front of the gates of Heaven. Seraphim are often depicted as flying snakes, and the eyes on Pentious' hood now resemble a Seraph's.

I was really amused by Katie saying "we don't touch the gays," as an insult to Charlie, while talking about Dahmer cancelling on her, when he was gay as fuck.
