Seriously, I saw infinitely more posts, fanart, memes etc about hazbin the months after the pilot came out, than the months after the damn series released.
Many people saw it but people aren't talking about it anymore because there's nothing interesting to talk about, people liked the characters who were then barely fleshed out in the actual series

Plus the show lost a significant audience with many demographics, like Black and Hispanic people, due to both groups being more religious. Also the show made the characters in the pilot a whole lot more fucking annoying than they already were. Nobody over 30 likes watching characters that constantly swear and talk like they’re in high school unless they’re an LGBTQIA2+- man/womanchild who hasn’t picked up a book outside of Harry Potter and lusts after teen fictional characters on Tumblr.

I've seen the entire show in one fell swoop. I'm gonna do a brief review because I'm tired. Anyone asked? No, but I'm doing it anyway.

Strong points:

- The animation is great, even though if the colors are a little bit saturated at times, I can tell that some efforts and artistic choices really paid off.
- Some of the episodes are really good, in particular, Poison is my favourite episode of this season and I really did bad on misjudging Angel Dust as a character, I think they could do more with him and his character arc throughout the series.
- Niffty, I like that little neurotic gremlin. I also like the character of Husk.

Weak points:

- The constant swearing, I don't know if it's just me but I really don't like how the characters swearing this much, characters like Adam are guilty of this, like, we get it, you're an adult show. I don't need to be reminded of it every ten seconds of it. Is like this season has Tourettes.
- Literally 90% of the jokes are sex innuendos, thank you for making me feel like a frozen fish for not wanting to know about sex for at least three weeks hearing all of that.
- I really have a problem with the main concept, Charlie is the daughter of Lucifer, and princess of Hell, but she's not evil in the slightest. She's not what I think a hellish character is supposed to be, also, her design throws me off a little, you have this world of creatures with colorful and every design is different, and Charlie looks like a girl with a clown makeup, is so weird those clash of styles in the same show.
- Why did they make Lucifer a manlet? The most dissapointing design of all of them.
- There is a plot hole that bothered me in half of the show (spoiler alert): If it was discovered that angels could be killed, then why hiding all of this from the general public? The white demon said that it was for defending the public, and then what, just letting them kill more and more people in the name of protect them? That sounds that they did not think this through.

Holy shit what a missed opportunity. Charlie would've actually been so much cooler if she was based off sin. Even if she didn't have the snake body/hag look, it still would've been really interesting. Satan manifesting a daughter of sin as he fell as a form of vengeance for his final "big idea/amazing plan" and going into a depressive on/off relationship with her out of guilt and pity would've been so much deeper.
It would add a layer of complexity to viv's version of Lucifurry. He is this big thinker, a DREAMER who wants to make the world better and is upbeat/ambitious. But then, his ideas are seen as being too "extreme" and after heaven has enough, they toss him out. As he falls from grace, scorned by everything and everyone he ever loved and wanted to help, his first true thought of evil forms, resulting in his daughter "Charlie, harbinger of Sin" to form from satan's thought. However, Charlie is still like Lucifer in that she's kind and also wants what's best for the world, but her existence is detrimental to the world, for as long as she lives, Sin follows suite.

Lucifer, being the misunderstood man he is, is now forever linked to her because of her accidental creation. Since he is the being of Pride, he can't help but feel proud of her and want to keep her alive and well because his gentle heart still loves her. Her existence brings him Pride, but her existence also causes suffering to all people from her sinful incarnation.

This would result in adding a real complexity to him. Charlie is his beautiful daughter who was created at the lowest time in his life as he experienced the fall, she brings the exact opposite of what he initially wanted: pain and wrongs against heaven. He wanted to make the world a better place but heaven's wrong against him created the ONE thing that went against heaven and brought people to him instead: SIN. Due to his PRIDE, he can't simply get rid of her either, she's his only child.

Charlie would then be SO much more important to the story and give heaven a real reason to target hell. Adam, finally sick of hell's revolt against them decides to take out the ONE person that causes people to go to hell: Charlie. Lucifer would have to pick a side in the midst of battle, make the world a better place and let Charlie die and be welcomed back into heaven, or keep her alive and forever still be stuck in hell. It would've been a really cool situation to put him in, as he'd have to make a serious choice that could change everything forever. Charlie dies and the world is free of sin, but he also loses his beloved innocent daughter who never asked to be dragged into this (adding angst and depth to Charlie too) while simultaneously being given the right to come back to heaven. Or continue living in his depressive squaller. Bonus points if Charlie never knew of her creation and being the Harbinger of Sin and having to come to terms with the fact that SHE is the reason Angeldust is raped constantly. SHE is the reason Husk is a slave. SHE is the reason Vaggie experiences pain and suffering. SHE is the reason all of her people suffer and people are banished to hell. The ONE person who wanted to make hell a better place is the reason why they're there in the first place. She could even become suicidal and scream at Lucifer to let her die as she bawls in agony over her existence.

(Edited to Add): Imagine being a father and having your only child you've worked so hard to keep safe and happy begging you to kill her. The pain he'd experience would be delicious from a narrative point. The shock from all her friends and the Vees knowing too would be a big deal. The entire fight was broadcasted for Valentino, Vox, and Velvet to see, giving them an edge over the other warlords as they now know Hell's biggest secret. This would cement their roles and make them more dangerous imo. Sir pent could still die and be redeemed in heaven too. The entire war could've still played out but it would've put Charlie in a more vulnerable role and offer more development to her.

Charlie's death would also make the Hazbin Hotel work. With all sin absolved, all of her friends and people could no longer commit wrongs against each other. She would single handedly become the most important character in that universe, which tbh she really should be since she's the main character. Her disappearing would absolve so many problems in the world and let heaven/hell combine once more in a peaceful unison. Her character would face something genuinely difficult and soul crushing, as she would then need to learn how to cope with this revelation and parallel Vaggie's own revelation. Vaggie is an angel who fell and kept her origins a secret from Charlie.

GOD this series had so much potential I am actually so upset this series wasn't given to more competent writers. There's even so much that could be done with the Trinity of mockery against God.

So Twitter (of course it's Twitter. It's always fucking Twitter) is upset about people making YouTube videos that criticize Hazbin Hotel, even if the person who made video liked the show. If you apparently say that the pacing is terrible and the writing could be better, then you should be blaming Amazon instead of the creative team because they only had 8 episodes and they did the best that they could with a short runtime.

Okay, first of all, if you're going to blame the amount of episodes, blame A24. They were in charge of production, not Amazon. Viv even said it herself that the reason for the delay was because they were still looking for a streaming service even after the show was completed. So, Amazon was responsible for none of that.

Secondly, I really hate the excuse that the only reason why the show can even be considered bad is because of the short run time. There are many shows that have a short run time, but are able to tell an engaging and well paced story. For example, Over The Garden Wall, which while it does have 10 episodes, each episode runs for about 10 minutes, so it had even less time than Hazbin Hotel. It's also pretty insulting to the people working on the show, since you're giving them less agency on their work.

Plus, even if there were more episodes, I doubt that the pacing would be any better. Viv has shown us TWICE how terrible she is with pacing when she has control on how long she wants the story to be.

Dumbsville, however, was constantly trying to avoid talking about the controversy because he didn't want to come off as a bigot and bragged about how he was all about diversity.
It didn't even work because he still ended up dealing with the "fans" of Goodbye Volcano High in his tweets.

To be fair, the Scott Pilgrim show is more divisive than universally hated on.

But it really has nothing related to Clone High aside from being things from the 2000s-2010s.

I assume its that it is a better continuation than Clone High since any discussion for Clone High pretty much died down with the reboot which wasn't really good (due to forced edgy jokes and lacking the charm the first season had)

EDIT: By "Edgy", I mean excess "WOAH LOOK AT HOW MUCH THIS CHARACTER IS BLEEDING" and jokes about "lol I'm being cancelled"

I can’t find the screenshots, but he also cried because someone in the GVH comments said he was unsubscribing because Dumbsville wasn’t playing snoot game. Whatever, but he PMSed about it on Twitter and got really angry when people bringing up that he was overreacting.
