I don't understand why writing people to be racist homophobic etc is so reviled.
Drain Todger put it brilliantly:
If you want to show brutal injustices to the viewer, you have to be willing to depict truly awful things. SJWs invite us to "imagine a better world" by sterilizing fiction of the aspects of reality that upset them the most, creating settings that are practical hugboxes.

I'm not sorry. Having too much fun with this. Alastor being a horrendous racist is somehow funnier than any of the jokes Vivs has written in years.
If Vox was revealed to be Italian, Alastor's rivalry with him could be more entertaining.

"Who are the Vs?"
"Nobody important, like all wops are."
"But wait, isn't Husker black?"
"He's what we call a house nigger."
"If you ever say that again, boy, I will tear your soul apart and broadcast your screams much like I did to your people back in the day."

Fuck. Give me that Alastor NOW!

Well that's disheartening but not surprising. I was expecting a conspiracy tbh

Because modern consumers can't differentiate a character or a story from the opinions of the author or viewer? That or they're so concerned with virtue signaling that their purity tests are taken to absurdist levels.

Alastor being "Half Creole" is stupid as hell. You are either Creole or not. There is no half. That's like saying you are Half American (not including Natives). You are either an American or not. If one of your parents is American then you are not suddenly half American. It's a culture. This is coming from someone whose grandfather is Louisiana Creole. I'm not going around saying I'm a quarter Creole. I'm not Creole because I did not grow up in the culture.

You'd think they'd like put 2 braincells together and have like a gag where there's an entire swath of the population of hell that's OK with being purged because it's better to just stop being than eternally suffer in the red torture and gang warfare world, and Hitler being a sneaky little almost jew stereotype salesman for the best potential death vantage points during a purge.
She's been inconsistent on that. She's said she doesn't want to mention real world things in the show, but then you had Mayberry in the Murder Family episode of HB mention Hitler and Epstein.

Possibly he did if the voodoo symbols have any significance, or possibly it's a retcon because people started whining about cultural appropriation.

Don't forget Jeffery Dahmer's cooking show in the HH pilot

Does anyone remember the person who made those chain pins?
View attachment 5809445
This is what they’ve got now
Just remember, it’s permanent.
I.... what????

I know its the hazbin fandom, but what the actual fuck has to be wrong with you for you to get a massive tattoo, a permanent body modification that also physically hurts to get, of a weird depressed spider twink with stump legs 0.3 seconds before he gets raped by a pimp moth???

Not to mention the heaps of pills and cigs and words like junkie, whore, skank etc.
PLUS it looks like shit.

I hope making pins sells well because who the fuck would hire someone with this tattoo specifically? Especially if they dunno what the fuck hazbin is, this looks incredibly sketchy

You could argue that it's like prison and the diddlers get shanked the minute they're alone.
The difference is that that hell is the punishment after you get shanked in prison. The idea is that you can't escape it with death because its supposed to be worse than death.

If you can just leave hell by killing yourself it defeats the whole point.

I know, but Viv's hell clearly doesn't work like that because dadadadadah.

99% of the idiocies in HH/HB can be explained in a very simple way: Vivz wanted to make a melodrama set in LA but chose to set it in Hell because she can't draw humans for shit.

There, I solved most of the issues regarding why decision x was taken in the show, or why something doesn't make sense.

Ok so where are the homeless neo nazi junkies that poop in the streets?

I got no way of proving it but I hundred percent think it was Brandon Rodgers who wrote that joke.

I was bummed out when she stated that she wasn't going to use real world events in her show. Niffty is a Japanese American woman who died in the 1950s. There is huge implications with that.
