Joel's comment made about Alastor, Rosie, etc. made me think. The reason people don't give a shit that they're terrible people is because the show doesn't.

Valentino is fairly quickly established to be a rapist, but what's the worst thing characters like Angel, Pentious, and Alastor do over the course of the entire season? All I can think of is Angel goes on a drug binge in episode 4 before getting a pep talk from Husk, Pentious spies on behalf of the Vs for all of ten minutes, and even if Alastor is all menacing and has nearly a blank check deal with Charlie, I doubt his likely betrayal will have him do something that will make the audience hate him like him killing a major protagonist.

Even Rosie and Carmilla haven't done anything that would cause the audience to root against them, like at least establish Carmillia is a boss who treats her workers like shit instead of her only major trait being "I love my daughters and must protect them!"

For a show allegedly about redemption, you think it would take notes from the pilot where Angel was established to be a major douchebag who gleefully took part in violent street wars.

It's kinda like a fujo tornado. Blitzo's perpetual victim status and self pity are the cold front, Stolas being portrayed as completely rght in every horrible decision he makes are the warm front. Together they just ruin everything else in the show, while all the other characters can barely get out of the way.

When you put it like that, them being left to their own self-destructive and co-dependent misery is actually a fitting end for them. Too bad the show will show this as completely positive.

I have not seen a photo of Raphielle before now, just heard that she took the practice of pretending you’re a fictional character farther than many tumblrites with Angel Dust. But actually seeing it is pretty jarring. Talk about kinning too close to the sun, holy shit.

One of my favorite things of this thread is sharing our foe fiction ideas.

Spoiler: Tard wrangling my Hazbin dream

This came to me last night and I liked some of the concepts that could be fleshed out.

Lucifer and Lilith rebel against Heaven, Lilith was never Adam's first wife.

Lilith eventually regrets what she did while Lucifer is a evil bastard.

Alastor and/or Vox are lieutenants under Lucifer while the Exterminators are the fallen angels who followed Lucifer (male and female).

Not long after Charlie is born, Lilith flees Hell and returns to Heaven to seek for forgiveness.

As penance, she and Charlie are tasked with helping souls purify themselves after they die so they can enter Heaven in separate Limbo-like realm. Souls can also be tempted to reject purification and get sent to Hell.

Young adult (or whatever age she's supposed to be) Charlie is taken to Hell to protect the souls she just purified from Alastor.

Lucifer instructs that Charlie is not to be harmed.

Hell is full of chaos and hedonism, like in the pilot, while Charlie finds pockets of Sinners who want to change their ways.

She establishes the hotel as Alastor and/or Vox monitor the situation.

Charlie throws in foreshadowing lines on how she felt different in Limbo and almost feels at home in Hell, but is still repulsed by the pain and suffering she sees.

Meanwhile, Lilith learns of her daughter's abduction and prepares to confront her ex. The souls Charlie had previously saved (Vaggie and Sir Pentious) join her.

This "season" concludes with Charlie learning Lucifer his her father and Lilith kept it from her with ending on a shot of Charlie's demonic, not magical girl, transformation.

Give your thoughts on these ideas or tell me if I need to unplug, touch grass, and just enjoy nature.

I want to find out what peeps on Vivziepop subreddits, which are like 97% of all Helluva Boss fans, actually think of Stolas - a typical Reddit user is a weak-willed, feelings-driven introvert with underdeveloped emotional intelligence who is usually attracted to the type of characters like Stolas. Those guys will describe Stolas as charming and charismatic, they will be flattered by his overly-dramatic, fairy-tail-like attitude and an image of the nice guy. They will obliviously empathize with him trying to justify his innocence and disregard for himself. They’ll villainize Blitz for hurting his feelings, even though he was genuinely correct about Stolas acting up like an unhealthy girl that wants to ruin a relationship because she feels like not having enough control.

I’ll be really surprised to see at least one constructive comment criticizing Stolas’s behaviour from a guy that speaks like a regular Reddit NPC and not from a guy that hasn’t yet discovered Kiwi Farms. Otherwise, I’ll assume that their mods are aggressive Stolas gooners and censor all anti-birdfaggot comments.

Nothing, I honestly think she may just be too stupid to realize any implications or contradictions, and so are the people that actually agree with this.

I liken it to a Harry Potter Character Umbridge. She is the most hated character in that series, and for some reason she is irredeemable. However, guys like Draco, who, you know, joined up with the Wizard Satan/Hitler, actually gets a happy ending. Or in Steven Universe. Yeah, of course we can redeem genocidal space nazis that have to mark entire planets for their Kills counts, but don’t you dare think we can redeem Kevin, who was kinda a metrosexual frat-bro. Thing is, you're more likely to encounter an Umbridge – this asshole teacher/administrator that abuses their power to just be an utter cunt to kids – than you are to cross paths with a nigga who's trying to commit actual genocide. More often than not, people like Voldemort don't really exist IRL, but there's dozens and dozens of Umbridges out there.

Also, is Blitzø still going to be drowning in self pity because of? I thought that got solved in the last episode with that talk with Millie. Or at least it wouldn't be affecting his work no more. But we can see that he's on some gambling website. Is he spending all the company's funds on that?

What is it with characters learning the same lesson over and over again in this show? Can't wait for the next episode on Moxxie where he learns to have self confidence...again. Or the episode where Stolas learns he has to pay attention to Octavia...again. The same repeated lesson for these three; no one else gets any. Except for when Viv is in an extra gay mood, then we might get an episode on Fizzaroli. Lucky us.

Vivzie cannot write a character arc that doesn't involve daddy issues or lack of confidence. Every character arc can be described as one or the other, you're not allowed to have anything else.

Anyway, i find really confusing how depressed Blitzo is acting after the "break up", considering before the break up he literally had zero positive memories with Stolas as he felt like a sex slave the whole time. The implication now is that blitzo always loved Stolas too which i never got the vibe, so him becoming so depressed (offscreen) he is ready to bankrupt the job of his life and take down his family/friends with him feels absurd.

Like, Vivzie could at least retcon some flashbacks about Blitzo enjoying Stolas company or something, she doesn't need to gaslight us everytime.
