The most annoying thing about combing for decent HB fics is that the vast majority of them are just Stolitz. Hell I look up Loona, Verosika, or Striker, and most of their stories are still Stolitz somehow. That ship is a black hole that drags in other characters who have nothing to do with it, it's insanity.

Stoltiz fans in my opinion are worse than the actual ship itself at this point. Mainly because they nevertheless shut the hell up.

I will say, when it comes to fics say on HB, I do feel sorry for writers whos stories dont rack up as many views or attention, because the stories dont involve Stolizt in some capacity.

I was confident it's CW (it's always cw fanfic) but its apparently comic batwoman, altho it seems like the writer is only writing plotless lesbian smut of random characters and one chapter features verosika and thats the only reason HB is tagged. They might not even watch these shows and games.

Ye, wont lie I had to include a lil bit of Stolitz in my fic as well, which cause it was mostly based on S1 and then goes into like AU territory. But frankly, Im not shocked, by S2 many none shippers have jumped this boat, so only fujo types remain.

Finally got around to checking out hazbin proper and after episode 1?



It's mediocre to average at best. It may have been said before but it's a strange hodgepodge of 2000s newgrounds "edgy" that ms. maduros is forever stuck living in, but with current year wokeshit dragging it like a rock tied to its head. Like with helluva boss I've found myself skipping around when there's mostly slow talking momments...and finding the music nice even if it's clear Vivian and co have Disney envy the size of monstro the whale, particularly in happy day in hell the first song.


If this HAD been made in the early 2010s maybe the late to mid 2000s. It might would have been given an average score with the nicest thing you could say about it being, "at least it's not another animated sitcom like the simpsons or family guy." And "at least it doesn't think it needs to look or be cheaply animated like south park."

5/10 happy to say I can form an honest opinion, but I don't think I'll be rewatching soon....unless I've got absolutely nothing better to do.

Another issue is that it's safe edgy while breaking no boundaries or showing why Hell is what it is. It's just sex jokes, violence and excessive swearing. Hell, VivziePop even was too afraid to put in the word "retard" due to fan backlash. At least it had a reference to Jeffrey Dahmer to show that the worst of the worst is still there, but still...

Just make Hell edgy! Make hellish police so racist they are terrified of their own shadows and shoot them because they are too black! Make sinner demons like Shoko Asahara and Ryuho Okawa have a funny courtroom dispute on whether the latter is defaming the former on his anime propaganda or not! Make Rosie and Susan treat Alastor, Angel Dust, Niffty, Velvette and Valentino differently than other demons and ghosts/departed souls because of their ethnicities and sexualities! Make Alastor terrified of cops and the Ku Klux Klan because of his race (and horrible past actions)! Make Mimzy pretend to be accepting of everyone but still coming out as bigoted and going "Angel Dust, I accept you for who you are, whether you are gay or normal"! Anything!

Why do I get the sinking feeling that she's only going to show up for the first and last episodes of Season 2, with the last episode being a cliffhanger to establish her as the big bad for Season 3?

(Burning in my soul sung as a song lyric while a guy is stuck in a burning building, then a lyric about sticking barb wire in places not pleasesnt) the next it's got two sinners (possibly furries in life given that's what they became in hell) doing it in a house full of sex toys. And others drooling over porn playing shamlessly in a shop window the way tvs used to play in electronic store windows.

Is it torment for a year, then the exterminators come to clean house for anyone not powerful or influential enough to afford protection when they do? Or is it all kinds of debauchery and decadence EXCEPT for the one day a year the exterminators drop in?

True she didn't even stay true to each ring punishing people based on said sin. Everyone's just chucked into the ring of pride but there's no shores of archeon with charron, or limbo for so called "virtuous pagans" (aka people dante actually liked, but they died before Jesus did so they don't go to heaven) oh and if "nobody's ever been redeemed." Prior to Ole snakey. Then may I ask what was Adam doing for all those years? Did the salvation of people like him, Able, Abraham, Moses, and so on just never happen?


Look I'm not asking her to be 100% true to either Dante or the Bible, but being consistent would be a nice start.

I never understood why Vivzie locked the sinners into pride ring beyond Hazbin an excuse to make spinoff shows in other rings completely detached from hazbin. Complete waste of her own setting.

One could say this makes the world feel big but then blitzo goes between rings so fast it feels like the entire hell is one quick bus ride away.

And since fanfics were mentioned, just for curiosity i searched the helluva boss section on Ao3 for the fic with most kudos and it's a Radioapple fic that is on the HB fandom for no reason. It has exactly the tags you expect.

Regardless I'm still not confident that she's not gonna be wasted. Given the story set up she's been given you could do something really impactful, exploring exactly how the Heavenborn view Hell and the life of mortals, or posing a real challenge to Charlie to see just how committed she is to rehabilitating and redeeming people (especially if its right after Lute does something like kill Vaggie). Hell if Vivzie really wanted to be - dare I say it - provocative, you could basically make her an allegory for soldiers coming home from the various "police actions" suffering from PTSD and debilitating injuries, and how both the government and society as a whole basically just tosses them to the side like they're nothing.

But again, Vivziepop writing, so not confident.
