You know a wholesome LGBTQAIPPJ9Z#N+ show is good when the only pairing that is even vaguely tolerable is the straight one.

> Strong woman and strong man
> Stand for the Lord and all that is holy
> Fight together
> Man assures the woman if he's hurt and tells her to not be stressed for him
> Woman shows concern for man when he's down - very loyal to each other

What the hell Viv? Why are you making us love Adam more 🤣?

This really confirms my theory that these shows are intentionally a pied piper for confused kids. It's all over YouTube, and when it was at its peak on Amazon Prime it was just advertised ALL over the place- with a style that screams "WOW EDGY KIDS CLICK THIS".

Personally know a pre-teen cousin that one day started talking in a weird way... then it dawned on me when I was talking to her that she's trying to talk like Blitz. I talked to her parents about Helluva Boss and they were very dismissive like 'oh she wouldn't watch that'
But she had unrestricted access to YouTube...
One day I straight up said 'Do you like Blitz?' and she then rambled ON and On about Helluva. Her parents didn't seem to care at all.
Now she's barely a teen and she's telling people she's fucking pansexual. Gee where the fuck could she have picked that up?

I tried to give the benefit of the doubt that MAYBE she was digging for edgy stuff for the longest time but then I saw a SHIT TON of merch at Hot Topic. That all looked like tween/teen slop. They know what they're doing.

edit: oh yeah and she told me 'all of her friends' watched it too
Keep an eye on your cousin or else she will become Emberlynn or poon out, or worse, both.

Can't help but feel for Viv here since she really doesn't like that kids are in her panels

She brought it upon herself. She's the one who couldn't tell whether to advertise the show as an adult comedy or the newest quirky cartoon off the block for kids to get mercilessly attached to. I have no sympathy for something she clearly should've controlled better because we all know atp it's mainly teens dominating the HH/HB space. There's a reason people call the two shows the "modern day hot topic" because of how much it appealed to edgy, oh-so rebellious teenagers (or just teenagers who want to act like they're grown up because they hear SWEARING and SEX) or whatever.

I once again must say I find it weird how she killed off Adam in the first season. Why? Was it literally to try and remove anyone that wasn't a homo or a girlboss? You establish a fun and energetic villain, then kill him off immediately; now you have to do the work of establishing another villain that needs to be as good or better to watch.

Maybe she’s expecting the Vees to be able to measure up to him in popularity, given how hard she’s been pushing them for so long. But I don’t see it happening. I’ve seen what happens when you try to slap in a mediocre villain or two right after a great one and it does not go over well (the first thing that came to mind was the Calypso Twins failing to measure up to Handsome Jack but I’m sure there’s plenty of other examples out there I’m forgetting).

It's speculated that Vivzie thought she only had less seasons so that's why the pacing of season 1 felt so rushed, but she got more stuff. She's likely going to bring Adam back given how Alex Brightman is still involved in the show through flashbacks or even pander to her fans as she sometimes does.

But she already has other villains established given the existence of the Vee's, fake Lilith, and Lute. Honestly after Helluva Boss, I think it is best for Vivzie to have a smaller antagonist cast since Helluva Boss is overloaded with too many villains.

Well, supposedly, since they didn't know if they were going to get a Season 2, they speed through the story to get as many plot points as possible.

Now it'd be one thing if she had a dead set vision for these characters, but that leaked episode/comic list proves that isn't the case.

It doesn't matter how many episodes Viv has for Hazbin Hotel; Helluva Boss is proof that she can't pace a story when she has the freedom of length. It's probably a good thing that Hazbin Hotel is probably only going to have 4 seasons with 8 22-minute episodes. HH would have probably become a shitty romance drama if that wasn't the case.

(Also, realized that a similar thing happened with Zoophobia where Viv forget about the initial premise of "counselor with a fear of animals is sent to a school filled with them" to basically a high-school relationship drama)

Sort of off topic. Does anyone remember another lolcow who was very adamant about Hazbins abuse/trans issues. I belive their name was Lilly Tino. Where they interviewed Raphelle about the rape scene and defended them so hard because they were both trans? I'm having trouble finding the video as Lilly is having some issues finding their videos for some reason.

Viv is so obsessed with relationship drama. I wonder if she's still bitter about an ex she had. Or worse, she's like Taylor Swift and has a long line of exes.

Look, as a kid I watched stuff like South Park, Beavis and Butthead, Drawn Together and other edgy stuff because at the end of the day kids always want to feel like grow ups by watching things they are not supposed to watch, but the difference is that I knew my mom would ban my ass from the tv for watching that stuff which added a sense of danger to what I was doing and made it more fun, not take me to a South Park QnA panel, so that's just bad parenting outside of the control of HB crew. But even if, I bet you Trey and Matt would have handed this situation way better than these dunderheads.

I don't see why they couldn't just reject to answer any question from the kid out of sheer principle, It would have come out as rude but you need to set the example, specially not make the situation worse by then prociding to make inappropriate comments. Very bad look, all of them came out as being scared of putting limits on their own fanbase which reputation is alredy in the gutter and situations like this keep worsening it.

I guess that's the thing really. A lot of us consumed media that we shouldn't have when we we younger; the main difference was we usually kept it to ourselves or discussed it with peers around our age, and it felt like the majority of adults were against having kids around and at least tried to put up some boundaries to prevent it. But now, it doesn't feel like they're trying to be neutral or even just ignore it. But are actively encouraging kids to get involved.

This has been continuing for almost two years at this point, and there hasn't been any change. And, yes it is mainly the guardians fault, but at some point you have to put some blame on the other side. Yes, a parent shouldn't let their kid be drinking alcohol in bar, but the bartender shouldn't be still selling the drinks to the parent to give to the child. Both can be at fault here. (This was probably not a very good comparison, but you get what I mean.)

One day she just sounded like a completely different person. For instance was she started saying 'chuckle fucks' (then would apologize for swearing right after) I don't know how else to describe it other than she was trying to talk like him lmao.

For example she was explaining how to play a videogame but she would begin by going "Ok now listen here" like him. It actually took me a while to put it together-- I suspected it was a Rick and Morty character at first because it just seemed so try hard, but the 'chuckle fuck' made me have to rack my brain a little more.

It is really autistic. I hope it's a phase but I'm terrified with the whole 'lol I'm pan' situation. I can only intervene so much because the parents just think it's 'normal teen stuff' but I'm terrified of potential future poon-ing. I mean I have told the parents in grizzly detail about what the queer community can do to a kid but they think I'm absolutely overreacting.
chucklefucks is a pretty common insult phrase last time I checked, the apologizing is weird though. Also how the hell do you take someone opening with saying "listen here" as a rick and morty thing? Why the fuck do they see it as a blitzo thing? This is all very confusing!

Might be brought back as a demon and become the shows whipping boy, who knows.

Personally him and Lute were the only characters I really liked, so I'm not sure if one can really carry the villain role alone without the other. Most of the other characters that might become the "main villain" are annoying and gay, so I'd probably skip it.

If the leaks anything to go by, he's just gonna be an imaginary friend that appears for Punished Lute to guide her, so really she's pretty much in cooksville and Viv got a good excuse to keep the VA around.

Also Alex Brightman voices Sir Pentious, so he's staying around for that at least. Maybe Viv will plan for him to Adam to come back as Sinner in S3 or S4 because it's a popular theory in the fandom. Wouldn't be the first time she's done something like that, ex. Vaggie turning out to be an exorcist.

Or Lesbian Charlie with Vaggie, or Angels being evil, or all of the other writing she stole from fanfics.
