Because lucifer hates sinners so wouldn't he make the hellborn dominate over the sinners and the sinners would be pathetic beings who are essentially slave labor? In fact you could still have overlords that by being servants to them sinners get a little better treatment along with those who made deals in life for more authority like alastar. But the rub is that it can be taken away any moment on a whim. And let's not forget that judgment day will come so in the long run it's pointless.

Honestly if the show didn't decide to rush to the "we must battle with Heaven" and just focused on Hell the season, we could have probably had time to explore that. The only sold soul we know the history about is Husk and all we know is he was an overlord that gambled all of the souls he owned and his own soul to Alastor.

Which by the way, even worst foreshadowing to the reveal than Vaggie. Like we should have gotten some hints before episode 4. But all we got was this one shot of Husk's shadow in the pilot episode when Vaggie was giving exposition on Alastor. Which might not even be canon because I don't know which state the pilot is to the story. Also Nifty is there so I guess she might have been an overlord as well? Get ready for that not to be answered since she is a straight woman and that means no exploration of her character.
Anyway, the pilot did achive more than the show on how truly chaotic Hell really is here. Besides the intro song, we also have a few instances of seeing what happens outside the hotel walls, and an entire turf war (which for the longest time I theorized that's how people would get souls). But for the show with eight episodes, we get...the first song of the season that shows the life of Hell. The world is so empty. Hellborns in Helluva Boss, the show that was once free on Youtube, feel more overpopulated than the Sinners in Hazbin Hotel...the show that should have been bigger in quality and quantity because it got picked up.

The idea that Hellborns are somehow spared in the exterminations will never not feel stupid to me. Besides the fact that angels should not care since they would view Hellborn even more sinful than Sinners and are most likely contributing to more people ending up in Hell, but just because they couldn't even tell the difference between them. They're not going to stop and ask, "Hey are you a Sinner or a Hellborn." They're going to kill right on the spot and only realize what they had killed depending on the color of blood that is being spilled on the floor.

So I saw the short and...it was fine. I don't know. I guess because I know that these mini episodes aren't going to affect the main show anyway. I guess if you ever experienced road rage this might be relatable? I mean, I haven't and I drive, which is more to say than for half of the audience who aren't old enough.

Also, with the way the man looked while he was driving, I thought it was going to be revealed he was possessed by a demon. But no. It was another incest joke. Which maybe could have worked even a little bit, but because not only did Blitzø mention he was going to do the exact same thing that was the reveal, we also were given a warning even before the episode aired.
There was no chance of a shock because we already knew what kind of person he was. Stop revealing things for future episodes.

I first watched HH, just because I saw alot of critique of it, and I was like "Can it really be THAT bad? Surely it can't be THAT bad?"

This is tying into what some people sai above. But when I first saw the leak from season 2 saying that the show will spend more time in Heaven than Hell? Why!!!?????? Yeah, the show is much better just focusing on Hell for many reasons, especially right now, but everything and everyone there is SO underdeveloped, rushed, and under explained. Are we gonna get another Plankton vs Mr.Krabs lawsuit moment?

We know that Heaven is just a clusterfuck of everything. A clusterfuck of making no sense, nonsense and stupidity that clearly isn't fully intetional, (and this is the least jarring, as of just season one tbh lol) even more mischarcterizing figures that have existed for thousands of years so jarringly that even antitheists hate it. (Still lmao @ them not knowing that St.Peter isn't white. )

We all know the Angels vs Hell battle was too soon. Obviously this whole conflict unfolding is too soon. But, they've confirmed several seasons now... Even if the slow they pacing down (they won't lol), why "spend more time in Heaven than Hell" now? I don't even want to watch this shit. Of course, I won't critique it if I don't, but damn.

There are too many artists, and nobody can stay consistent or on-model to begin with.
