Helldivers 2 - Hell is more diverse than ever as PlayStation's demographics continue to grow and change.

My one complaint is that the railgun still seems like trash however I fully admit I never use it on unsafe mode and I don't really understand how that works and I haven't been willing to experiment with it
It is garbage in unsafe mode, for bugs and for illuminate.

It’s my favorite support weapon for bots. Shooting the eyes out of 2 or 3 hulks right in a row is exceptionally satisfying. It also easily takes out devastators, gun ships and those annoying 3-shot turrets around the fortress.

All my worst games have been with bug divers. The fact that they just lost a planet doesn't surprises me.
Decided to do a couple bug operations on diff 9 and 10. Even on higher difficulties, I still see mistakes that I just don't see on the fronts (i.e. people waddling into barrages & eagle strikes). Bugdivers really are the least skilled and effective divers out there.

It goes against the concept but man Id love some kind of classes or specializing. I love turrets and engineer type shit but everyone throw those things willy nilly already

Maybe I'm just boring, but if you just throw on a guard dog or turret for bugs, you can rack kills and you don't even need to think about it. I feel like bugs are the worst of all worlds, Voteless feel better at swarming, and the bots are more fun to get into a shoot out with. But, c'est la vie.

I once had a bugdive where I came in midgame, team was getting overrun, threw down an exosuit. Teammate immediately steals it, gets it destroyed in less than a minute, and then team kills me. I came back, returned the favor, and then the rest of the match the guy kept trying to potshot me and other teammates. Than at extract, he kicked us all. Not sure what he thought he was accomplishing, I had the majority of the samples.

Very happy to learn that I'm not the only bug hater out there, I've never really liked fighting them and I've always been a die hard bot player. Never liked how Stalkers exist and pretty much nearly instant kill you and how a majority of the bugs on high difficulties poison and slow you.

I will agree that bugs are probably my least favorite of the 3 factions, but I don't think they are complete shit. Just in last place compared to the other two. It's weird because a lot of what makes them annoying for people (including me sometimes) is by design and working as intended. Compared to bots when the game was newer and AH didn't realize that infinite ammo and perfect accuracy was not very fun at times and should probably be tuned.

To play devil's advocate, there are some things I genuinely like about bugs.
1. Mechs are the best on the bugs in my opinion. Like with the Illuminate, they consistently hit that sweet spot for difficulty where it feels satisfying to use them.
2. Weirder support weapons that aren't as good with bots and squids like the grenade launcher, arc thrower, airburst launcher, and flamethrower can be great on bugs.
3. The gas mechanics seem to work best on bugs.
4. They encourage different primaries than bots and squids, some of my favorite weapons are best on bugs.

I don't begrudge people who don't like them. I just disagree that there's no fun in playing them at all.

I like fighting bugs. I also like fighting bots. I'm getting fucking tired of fighting squids just because like mentioned before the mission variety is lame and I'm sick of them being the major order during a work week.

Maybe more bug players are retarded than other players, but fuck it they bought the game and are having fun. I can seethe about them on a forum or just play the game and have fun too. Man, it's a hard choice.

My least favorite faction is the Illuminate mostly because the armor on the overseers and harvesters can feel really inconsistent. I picked up a recoiless rifle that was dropped in a game today and it felt really bad taking two shots to kill a harvester. Admittedly the first shot was to the shield generator spike and the second was to the eye but what really bugs me is that sometimes I can take them out in seconds with a medium machine gun aiming for where the leg joins the body while sometimes the whole squad spends a minute shooting there with MGs while dodging particle beams. And the flyboys either need to be easier to kill or not able to kill you in under a second with their weapon if they get lucky. I still had fun playing against them today though. The randos I joined decided to run down the clock with 20 minutes remaining by having a turkey shoot at extract and we had a hell of a time. I suppose with bugs I don't run into retards because I play with internet frens who generally know what they're doing which probably makes the experience more fun. Bots are still my favorite, though.

For me its the opposite, love fighting bots and squids, but i literally cannot do bugs, for whatever reason whatever combo i decide to go with literally never seems to work and its gay to have to run around the map for 20 minutes being chased by bugs who can jump as far as me with my jetpack who also always seem to deal a third of my health no matter the armor, who are also oddly tanky and are just flat out unfun to fight

Would recommend running blitzer/ cookout loadouts until further notice.

Edit: the new predator hunters are far and away the most annoying enemies in the game.
