Helldivers 2 - Hell is more diverse than ever as PlayStation's demographics continue to grow and change.

I would really like to use the Recoilless more, but fucking hell there is no stopping its infinite hunger for ammo. It should get twice as much ammo when picking up a box or a supply. Right now it's just dumb.
I've been using the EAT and just calling them in off cooldown. Frees up the backpack.

Lads, is the Dominator worth it? The Breaker Incendiary is a piece of shit (except for the large mag) and I regret spending my medals on it.

The Dominator is very much worth it. It's basically a 40K Bolter. Some of the weapons on the way to the dominator suck cock, yes. But it's the price to pay for getting something that can skull-fuck just about anything you point it at with the exception of heavy armor.

I've been alternating between a couple different energy based weapons lately due to the new warbond. But the Dominator is my standard "go-to" for ballistic weaponry.

I would highly advise that you continue your pilgrimage of genocide on that warbond if only to acquire it.

Yeah, EAT works fine, but I'm having much more luck one-shotting chargers and taking down titans with the recoilless. The recoilless already has stupid reload time, so I don't see why it should suffer so much from the lack of ammo. It's satisfying, but I just end up going back to the autocannon. I love my shoulder-mounted giant Luger too much to drop it for something so ammo hungry.

How do shot tank? How make annihalator tank dead easy?

The Youtube guides and AI articles are too retarded, I need a real human to tell me.

Spear missile didn't do shit.

Spear Missile take like two hits to delete a tank unless you sneak up on it and target the red heatsink looking thing on the back of its turret (which pretty much goes for all bot thing). The advantage of the spear is how much range the lock on is so you can safely shoot one before it even gets in range to try to shoot back.

If you don't wanna give a shit, use the railcannon strategem.

If you don't have that luxury (it's off cooldown) use an EAT or other rocket and aim for the heatsinks on the back of the cannon as it swivels around. This is also true of turret towers in the field.

Both I believe can also be damaged by an anti-mat rifle hitting the heatsinks but they take several shots, a tower is at least 8 from my recollection. For this reason I want them to let me see when I hit shit with a support weapon. I don't know if it's a prevailing bug or intended but I never get hitmarkers if I use a AM rifle or stalwart/MG

One tip, my friend likes that gun and he says that if you ADS it will have significantly less recoil then if you shoot third person.

Does anyone else think that the 120mm HE Orbital is awful. It's wind up time and dogshit accuracy make it so worthless. Also, I loathe mortar sentries with a passion, I genuinely believe their priority targets are helldivers first, bugs and robots second.

Sometimes it can be nice for a bot factory or bug nest but its not worth it to have over other stratagems unless maybe if you are on a blitz mission because you have to clear those fucking bug holes and they give you no time to do it.

For the bugs basically the meta right now is 500kg eagle then either an additional heavy killer(e.g. Orbital Rail Cannon, EAT missile) or something for killing light mobs(Eagle Airburst or cluster bomb for example) or the patriot suit to do both and then your last two strategems are usually a backpack and a support weapon. You can forgo the backpack if you are using Autocannon / Recoilless strategem and slot in something else that suits your fancy. You can also forgo the backpack if you really want but the personal shield or jetpack is very powerful.

Did people just forget about this?

Starship Troopers : Extermination
It's still "early access" and lost over 70% of it's players after the first month.

I will care when a 1.0 release comes.

So my load out lately is the second shot gun (the megazine version) with an arc thrower, a guard dog rover backpack, auto cannon sentry, and mortor sentry and its been working well for me. I use it against both bug and bot; however the arc thrower is less effective against bots but the shotgun generally works.

I feel like its a really good load out against light to medium armor enemies and if one of my team mates has strong weapons for heavier armored enemies we have a pretty good time defending areas for hordes of enemies.

I've gotten pretty adept at not accidentally allies with the arc thrower to the point where my teammates are more likely to die from sentry fire if they are unfortunate. I really think the arc thrower if you get the hang of it is super great for just clearing a crowd, pushing them back to their spawn source and just pinning them there.

Thoughts?

While it was cool to have 16 people playing...the jank was a bit too much. I know hell divers 2 is built off a expired engine but everything in Hell Divers 2 just feels snapper and more responsive. Plus the engine allows for some serious beautiful sights while still going into looney toons level of crazy when shits starts exploding. The weapons/classes also didn't feel as impactful as all the shit Hell Divers 2 gives you.

I would suggest switching out the mortar for the EMS Stun mortar. This would allow your sentry autocannon more time to rip up the big guys, no friendly fire, and it will allow your teammates to easily drop more heavy ordinance on heavy armor enemies/groups.

Man Shrekers (the flying bugs) are no joke. Luckily they are just like Stalkers and associated with a structure and not apart of the normal enemy spawns.

I wonder if the turrets with the aim upgrade would be able to take them out easily....

I would ditch that guard dog rover ASAP for jetpack or shield. That mother fucker betrays you and your teammates all the time.

I played a bunch of the first game and loved it. Still recommend it if you're looking for a good game to play with someone on the couch, especially since that's next to impossible to find these days. I was super hyped when the game first was announced since I wasn't sure if a sequel was even in the books. I knew it was going to be good, but I was blown away by how good it actually was, let alone by how popular it turned out to be. It's also been hilarious seeing how people have been reacting to it.

The first balance patch filtered normies hard. The game did get a bit harder but it was funny seeing everyone on Reddit tell on themselves that they needed to get carried through the harder difficulties with the railgun/shield combo, the ones that provided no reason to consider alternatives prior to getting nerfed (despite still being really good). The wild part to me is the amount of people that felt entitled to a 90+% clear rate at the highest difficulties a month into the game, especially when you are only missing out on super samples, that you only need a handful of to begin with. Are people's sense of pride so much that they can't turn the difficulty down?

I'm also encouraged by the devs apparent neutrality politically. It took exactly 0 seconds for people to try to ruin this game with rainbow capes and a whole new discussion about Startship Troopers and 'media literacy'. Literacy, mind you, from a movie whose director not only is not shy about how media illiterate he was about the source of said movie, but also did a pretty bad job at making bad guys apparently bad and not super cool. This also coming from people who have never heard of the death of the author, and that a piece of fiction can only ever mean what its creator says it does :really:As for the rainbow capes, I'll feel a lot better if we make it through June without any of them. And if it does come around, any rainbow divers that make it off the SES Fist of Family Values will be verbally abused and shot on sight, that you have my word on. :semperfidelis:

(P.S. The first game also was getting updates like 8 years after release despite being so small, if Sony doesn't intentionally ruin this game it's going to be around for a long time, and I plan on being here as long as it doesn't suck.)

I laughed so hard at all the crybabies doomposting after the railgun got nerfed. To be fair at the time chargers were very annoying to deal with after the nerf because their armor was unusually hard to strip off but they also made the flame thrower easily fry Chargers and the arc thrower was dispatching everything shy of Bile Titans. The content sluts on youtube were also milking the "controversy" dry because they needed to "discuss" the drama for their easy bake 10 minute videos for youtube algorithms.

The railgun and the shield are both still strong. The shield barely got nerfed and its still a top tier choice and almost required when facing automatons. People are just shit at the game and drink the "buff everything nerf nothing" bullshit idea of balance which causes awful powercreep and makes games into a flavor of the month style balance system which sucks ass.
