The community is going to stagnate into unhelpful bickering, and the player population is going to become anemic.

This is why investing in any live service should be kept at the lowest common denominator for future returns.

Expect the worst, and purge any remains of the game from your accounts and systems on the first sign of critical failure.

"WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!!??"

Fuck you Sony. I don't even have a Uplay account any more. I've never seen a company build up so much goodwill and then lose it all in an instant.

I will be very fussy if this ruins the overall community and ecosystem of this game. I've had nonstop fun with this and if it dies I'll be sad.
Also I'll be sad if I have to play with randoms on console, they have no concept of teamwork and their microphones are set to always on :(
I already haven't even logged in the game to do the personal order because of this. I just don't see a point in playing any more.

WTF do they think they are.. the mafia?
I think their logic is to counter ban evasion so that if little Timmy gets banned for calling someone a fucking nigger in Call of Duty he can't just log back in on his brother Tommy's account.

It's still fucking gross though. Seriously. Fuck Sony.

"WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!!??"

"We sure like letting our CA team ban people for not sucking the girl dick... and being thugs for the government... and selling your data... and doing dystopian social engineering shit... and inflating our subscriber numbers for investment reports... and maybe in a year you will need to pay us a $15 monthly fee cause ya know the portal server costs like .002 cents a user to keep up"?

Holy shit it was 14K negative a minute ago and I refreshed and it's up to 17k 💀

What's the current drama? Is it true I can get a refund for this bland ass game?

If the courts order an interlock on a guy's car, they don't force the wife to get one too.
Collective punishment is bullshit.

If you're in the EU this might actually be covered under that law where a company can't just fucking change major shit about a product without allowing you the chance to refund. Seriously, request one from steam and cite the law, you might get it.
US law also requires refunds in situations where there is a material change of a contractual relationship done unilaterally. Sony is allowed to change their contract for any reason, but you are not required to accept the change. I'd ask for a refund in the US too and then start exploring legal options if they refuse it.

If anything, Steam getting slammed with Refund demands will get noticed.

Sony being faggots, as usual. To do this shit months after release, where you could play without a PSN account just fine, is moronic.

Between Sony, the community manager sperging out on discord and the dev's comments towards the community, I'm convinced they made this game good by complete accident and have been trying their best to fix that.

I'd ask for a refund in the US too
I mean, yeah, try it everywhere, but I think the EU boys have the best chance at actually getting it. NA consumer protection laws are notoriously toothless and unless there's some millionaire this pisses off who's actually willing to go through years of court torture to spite Sony and Valve it's basically at Valve's discretion whether you get a refund or not.

Am I the only one who thinks refund policies need to adjust a tad more according to the current bullshit companies pull? Whether it be day 1 patches, keeping MTX and other crappy decisions veiled until the end of the first week, all sorts of stuff just like this... Like it was never like this company didn't know Soyny would demand this right before they announced it, it'd be a decision taken right around release I'd imagine.
