Helldivers 2 - Hell is more diverse than ever as PlayStation's demographics continue to grow and change.

They couldn't have used Steam Unique User IDs? Also the community managers don't really have experience as such, it turns most of their experience was being reddit nannies during the days of the first game.
internet shill/janny is usually a low-experience job, but ironically it also needs the right kind of person. anyone after the power/prestige instead of "helping/improving the community" (even if they tell that themselves) usually makes for a shitty janny. some companies outright require you to not disclose your position while active, even fucking 4chan jannies had that rule at some point (no idea if they still do).

as for steamid, there might be technical or legal reasons, however if sony is that worried about mean pc players they could just make crossplay optional and PSN a requirement for the people who want it. it would also prevent those dang dirty cheaters from messing with poor playstation players. not like it would matter anyway since there are crossplay titles where that requirement doesn't exist, and as everybody knows know nor does this game really.
funny enough if they'd have communicated it this way people would probably be less pissed.

While it turns out like this, What will happen if AH throw out more nonsense nerf in next patch
EDF6 starts looking more and more attractive

I'm still convinced somethings up. There's two reasons this could have happened. Sony wanted psn numbers UP UP UP for stock holders, which is likely, or the devs wanted the ability to ban players easier and faster, which a few devs said was the truth originally. I want to imagine this is ENTIRELY for the stock holders, but why would you announce a way to ban players right when june starts? The end of the grace period was right when pride month hit, so it makes me wonder what reasons they need a better method of banning large amounts of players for. Surely they're not about to push pride capes in, right?... Right?

Because the number of cheaters has exploded? I haven’t played a full mission set without running into a few of them.

Maybe I'm being stupidly optimistic but I feel like that would go over poorly. Extremely poorly. Especially since they don't have an easy way to ban players, family sharing to an alt is easy, cheating is easy, and this is a game where friendly fire can happen often. You're making anyone wearing a faggot flag an immediate target.

But also, the other reason I feel pride flags wouldn't go down well is this:
"We had to restrict the topics"
She words it like the "chuds" were making things unbearable.
If you were in the discord server around the time of launch, you know that's not the truth.
Troons would whine for pride flags, level headed people would go "Please no. This isn't about identity. I'd just rather not have modern day discourse and social movement stuff in this game please".
Then, as you can assume, troons promptly screamed and wailed and cried wolf.
Now repeat this process every-fucking-time the stupid capes come up.

The point is—she's telling herself a little white lie to make herself feel good.
The reality of the matter is that most of the player-base has seen troons repeatedly start shit over and over again over a cape. They are the ones starting the arguments and heating them up, every single time.
The player-base does not like them. They have seen how they behave.

Edit:
My optimistic hope is that if faggot flags are added, the playerbase, riding high off of this success, will voice their displeasure, and it will hopefully be successful.

since it's multi cheating might affect playstation players and make it easier to circumvent microtransactions. if there's one thing sony gets easily butthurt about it's money and being able to fleece their players.

not just troons, the bbq-brigade has pulling that stunt constantly injecting their gay shit into anything and then have a complete histrionic fit when people tell them this is not the time and place. tabletop simulator had to disable their global chat because of that.

To all thoose who we're like "just suck the corpo dick, it'll only take like 2 minutes fucking entitled overeactors"" you are the reason games like sucide squad exist and games are as bad as they are. Imagine simping for Corpos on the farms1f4.jpg

100% this.

The fan base is overwhelming not troon friendly and I’ve already seen fags getting blasted at extraction for queering up a mission.

Combine that with a lack of easy way to ban people and it’ll be open season for the alphabet people.

>Valve actually cares enough
It might be surprising to hear but that's actually not the case. If these corporations could have it their way, we'd not see a penny for any situation like this.

We got refunds on steam back in 2015 IIRC.
Back in the day, the userbase were requesting refunds as a feature for years. They were consistently ignored.
Austria, I think some of the EU, and Australia started legally ass raping Valve for this behavior. Refunds became a feature.

What niceties we have exist because of legally powerful organizations giving a shit about consumer rights.
Not because a corporation felt like being consumer friendly.
Wasn't saying that Valve was doing it out of the kindness of their heart, just that they cared to look into any possible legal issues before going full retard like Sony. They've got better foresight than Sony at least. Doesn't even matter now though cause it seems like Sony folded on their plan. Niggers probably felt a bit of the heat off those Steam refunds.

They could get even more good will from players if the devs announced a mass firing of all community managers and assorted jannies
That will gain them sympathy. Look at whenever a terrible studio, with terrible practices, scummy MTX and ban-happy CM's go under, those people take to twitter with the "poor me, I've been fired, how is this possible?" and all of the niggercattle normiefags flood them with sympathy and double-standards. "The game was terrible and the practices draconian, but I feel for the people who got fired".

Glad to see Sony reversed course. I wonder how they will lash out at Steam players now?
