Helldivers 2 - Hell is more diverse than ever as PlayStation's demographics continue to grow and change.

Dude to 80% of this game's player base the galactic war serves its purpose of being the 'special of the day' for when they get home from their 9-5 to unwind for the night. For the other 20% of manchildren like us who play the game religiously it's set dressing for their epic jihad. Stop losing sleep over a fake war.
I just want the medals so I can go ahead and use my farmed super creds to get the truth enforcers bond and work through it, the Halt and Reprimand seem good for bots. I spent all my medals on the hover pack, best investment yet I enjoy it more than the hellbomb backpack.

We have 5ish hours to either defend against 6 more bot attacks (impossible) or kill 300,000,000 more bugs (possible).

But there are over 30k divers going to bot missions right now instead of just bugdiving, so we will probably lose this MO. This is why strong faction preferences are retarded, there probably are a lot of people who are just wanting to fight the hot boys but there are tons who just can't adapt strategy to fighting the bugs.
Last night bug diving with some randos and a rando turned friend we collectively and silently decided to spend the 20 minutes we had left at extract turning the place into a shooting gallery for the bugs coming in from the edge of the map. I'm doing my part.

the average skill level has dropped through the floor. I've run into a lot of level 100+ people who burn through 75% of the reinforcement budget in the first 10 minutes on difficulty 10 because they aggro literally everything.
As someone who just reached level 150 2 days ago it might be less of a skill issue and more of a wanting to keep things interesting. In the last 3 weeks I’ve found it more fun to aggro through missions going for max kills rather than lower deaths. If I take the hellbomb backpack I’m going for >75 kills in a single go. I’ve died 6-8 times in recent missions but regularly get 700+ kills.

If I don’t take the hellbomb backpack then I’ll usually get 1 or no deaths but <150 kills.

Ultimatum, light armor, thermite, enough EATs to level a small town, a hellbomb backpack, an explosive crossbow and a fanatical hatred of bots. Survival is second to commiting binary genocide and with a loadout like this you are literally a steamroller chewing through entire bases in an adrenaline and stim fueled rampage.

You guessed almost my entire loadout!

For the spicy bots I've been taking the medium helghast armor with an eruptor, an energy shield, and a railgun. The shield can tank some of the direct damage from the incendiary shotgun devastators and the 50% fire resist takes the edge off the damage over time. The eruptor is good against mobs of flame troopers (and for shooting troops off the underside of a dropship) and can kill, damage, or stagger devastators and the railgun is great for quick killshots on them. It can also take limbs off hulks or kill them if you have a good shot, and is great for killing gunships or taking out the chin guns on a factory strider. Really helps if a buddy brings AT though.

We may finally get to return to the Creek-

I was that way till I got the fire warbond and napalm strat. Flamethrowers are the way to go for killing bugs.
Yeah when they buffed flame they gave us a really nice way to deal with bugs, and the hover pack makes it a blast to roast a bile titan in the face.

Speaking of titans, did they get another buff lately? I know they were always tough but there for a while I was able to get fairly consistent 1 shots on them by aiming for the face before they charged up their bile spew. Now? Shit sometimes I end up emptying a full Commando barrage right to their face at eye level and they'll still keep coming. If I'm on a titan heavy map I usually carry the orbital rail cannon and ultimatum just as last ditch fuck you shots but I can't help but feel they've received a buff to standard AT weapons.

Last night I unfortunately discovered that the hover pack puts you right at the perfect level for Harvesters to shred with their eye beam so even if the overseers don't have auto aim be careful floating too much if Harvesters are around.

I would put money on it that they did buff the titans. I would bring in EATs and think, "Yeah, I can take two titans down per drop" but that doesn't seem the case anymore. I'll be lucky to take one down per drop, much less take on two.

I was mostly playing bugs until the cowboy or bond came out and it was just too much fun to blast robots with a lever gun

I've taken to tossing a single thermite grenade on their face to soften them up or finish them as my teammates who took AT take their shots. The HMG also does good work on them at range.

i have been hearing people say the three borderline mandatory ( as in they are by far the most useful, not that the game is unplayable without them) stratagems, the health boost, stamina boost, and and HSO should just become ship upgrades since everyone is almost always taking those every mission, and it feels like something is missing when you dont, especially the stamina one. i am inclinced to agree. those boosters are just too good and it would be interesting to see other boosters picked in a game.

More like, the other boosters aren't interesting enough to warrant being picked over these basic stat boosts.

They definitely didn't buff their health; when you do hit their head they still get one shot by EAT's/Quasars. I have however noticed that since the patch I will sometimes (usually when I'm not the host) shoot an enemy in a body part, hit and destroy that body part, but actually not hurt the enemy. So a headless bile titan will be running around and I need to shoot it again in the head again to get it to register. According to the other players they don't see it as headless. It might be that you're experiencing bad hit registration? This update introduced a lot of weird bugs, like the the grenade launcher grenades lose all of their momentum immediately and you can throw grenades further than it can shoot now.

As far as bugs I've been noticing a lot of limbless torsos walking around these days. Completely alive and functional but it's hilarious and I can't see their names

Also one time a dude knocked me into the back of the heli with explosives and it didn't register me getting in.

I snagged the heavy fireproof armor and it was night and day bringing that against the fire bots. Felt practically invulnerable, even while using the double edged sickle. Only downside was moving at a snails pace.
