What's a good loadout for the Illuminate? I've been using the lighting shotgun and the laser cannon.
I’ll give you 3 that are working for me. For attack stratagems I usually do eagle strafing run, gas strike and mg turret if I don’t use a backpack strat

1: auto cannon, tenderizer/liberator carbine, laser pistol, gas grenades. Autocannon flak is good on flesh mobs, intruders and you can mailbox the spawners from range with 3-4 shots.

2: stalwart, eruptor, laser pistol, gas grenades. Works similar to 1 but the eruptor does the heavy lifting stalwart for clearing voteless overseers and shields. Laser guard dog optional.

3: laser cannon, scythe, grenade pistol, gas grenades, laser guard dog. Basically laser the shit out of everything, alternate between laser cannon and scythe when they’re close to overheat. Grenade pistol is for spawners and containers, but can disperse tightly packed mobs of voteless if needed as well.

I take gas grenades every time because when you’re being charged by voteless/flesh mobs you throw it at your feet and run. This will cause any enemy that goes through it to break pursuit and it kills voteless with DoT.

I say use laser guard dog because guard dogs are bugged and fly away when they need to land on the backpack, so gun dog and gas dog are useless when they have to reload. Laser dog is fine because it doesn’t run out of ammo.

My favorite setup right now is running medium Electrical Conduit armor, plus the Tesla Tower. The Tesla Tower can tank 1-2 flesh mobs for long enough for you to kill them, clearing out everything else if you drop it at a street intersection. The armor keeps you from dying from the Illuminate mini-teslas, and seems to reduce damage from the strafing runs too. It lets you dive underneath your own Tesla and shoot at enemies prone, while baiting them into range of your zombie zapper.

On the higher difficulties, I'm finding at least some defense or crowd control necessary. The gas guard dog, stun grenades, gas call in, even the Liberator Concussive will save you from getting swarmed.

If you don't have primaries leveled up, the best base weapon I've found is the Adjudicator. The Overseers take too long to kill with light penetration ammo, and you need something rapid for clearing groups of Voteless. Also you need a scope for ranged shooting down the flying Overseers and scanning droids. The downside is the ammo capacity and terrible reload time, but running Siege-ready armor clears that up just fine.

If you're a good shot the Eruptor can put in serious work. But you'll be heavily relying on your secondary (and your team) to clear Voteless swarms, which can kill you faster than anything else. The exploding crossbow is also good, for the opposite use cases: fantastic for clearing Voteless and walking Overseers, but you'll never hit the flying targets that cause the most havoc.

If you can keep your shots on target, then the tenderizer or lib carbine can drill overseers pretty easily and they’re light pen. Both benefit greatly from vertical foregrip. Same with the stalwart, which pairs really well with the erupter. All 3 do voteless crowd control well.

Only reason I didn't suggest the Stalwart is because you get basically free machine guns (and EAT launchers) in the current Illuminate maps.
Ah. I play D10 for illuminate and that’s not as common as lower difficulties. I also prefer stalwart because you don’t have to stop to reload which is nice when you’re being run down by voteless. I pick repositioning over standing ground. Kiting is an essential skill on all fronts, but it’s especially important for the illuminate.

I think the Stalwart is always worth it with the Illumniate since the Fleshmobs have 6k health, not weak spot, and no armor so the Stalwart makes easy work of them (about 1/3 of a clip) while still useful against the voteless/taking down shields.

i can't tell if the new illuminate units are fun to fight against or not because every game i've joined since the update has been full of looney toon retards that i've watched with my own eyes run in circles instead of just shooting the fucking squiggers

I feel like the Illuminate punishes you more than any other faction for taking off meta picks. Since the same weapons tend to deal with most of the roster very effectively( any MG, autocannon, wasp, and nade launcher) any time you might pick something different you get fucked over.

To be fair, they had this same problem before the update.

I've been using peak physique armor with upgraded adjudicator, the medium pen pistol, fire nades, and mmg with eagle airstrike, gunner bot ( though that is bugged right now) , and Gatling sentry to great success. Don't take the sentry if you aren't good at placing them though or you will just kill your teammates more than the illuminate.

Nothing wrong with the Blitzer, only reason I'm not using it is I've been using it for months on the bug front but I needed a change, and the attachment update provided that. Obviously gas grenades are a better choice, assuming they can blow up drop ships, but I don't have those unlocked. I take the mmg over the stalwart because you can blow up the not-striders with it if you shoot them in the joint between the head and leg. Peak physique helps a lot with making both of those weapons more effective.

Stalwart or mmg are my go-to weapons tbh.

anyone tried the firework grenade with the new warbond? Is it better than the super galaxy gas?
Deals very heavy DOT in its radius during its lifespan and you get 6. I have heard they are the best part of the warbond, but they are a little finicky to use. From gameplay I've seen, they spin themselves like a daybloom firework, rolling along the ground for a few moments before beginning to hover and spew fire everywhere. They're hard to get to land right where you want them but the potential damage is much higher than the fire patches from the normal incendiary grenades. Two of them can kill a charger(!). With the recent buff to fire it's actually a really fair debate between fire and gas grenades now. They now serve different roles, fire kills chaff en masse and deals heavy damage to heavier enemies with unbridled efficiency but gas adequately kills chaff (albeit much slower) while distracting heavier opponents. Personally I would stick to gas since it opens up heavy enemies to easy kills, and you can apply fire with loadout options unlike gas which only comes in the form of stratagems and grenades. Always combine the two, and especially with newly buffed fire gas + fire has never been more effective. I will be running a torcher and gas dog often for Terminids and Illuminates once they fix that boneheaded guard dog bug.

Edit: On the topic of gas and fire, the dagger is now easily the best non utility secondary in the game. Being able to efficiently apply fire onto enemies and deal a hefty DOT that outright kills most basic enemies and heavily damages heavier enemies is crazy. Using it as a primer to melt chaff and soften enemies is fun and using the thing as your primary is more than viable. It's actually crazy how powerful it is against bugs and squids now due to the fire buffs.

No, mods are cosmetic only and only apply to you. Nexusmods are full “Queers for Palestine” though which means if you post anything that would upset a shitlib, you get banned.
Nexus jannies are truly the most "stick up the ass" kind of people ive ever seen.
Whenever i need to download a mod or two i use an username thats something like "nexusjanniessuckcocks".
I download the mods, then maybe, week later i check up a mod there and my account is gone.
They have blocked majority of tempmails but going to google page 10-20 has some obscure tempmail results that work.

Also, fuck the flying overseers, genuinely unfun to fight against a mob of them.
