A quick foreword: this is my first post and I created this account because I feel like there was no place where it was relevant for an in depth discussion about Chris and him getting help from others. Im not talking about professional help, that is something that Chris desperately needs more than anything. I'm talking about people who try to give advice, motivate him, warn him, generally try to improve his life etc.
Now I support the idea that people shouldn't mess with Chris. What has happened to them and where they are now is saddening. However, what I don't completely sympathize with is where people, namely Null, try to help and protect Chris. I only came upon the void that is Chris Chan lore relatively recently and admittedly I'm not the most educated on the entirety of events involving Chris. Despite this I truly think that, of Chris deserves any kind of treatment, it is to be cold and neutral. What I mean is, I don't believe Chris should receive much to any help whatsoever, I believe them to be a terrible person. They may be a transgender, autistic, and emotionally damaged individual, but that doesn't make them a good person. Chris has always shown to be selfish, arrogant, racist, homophobic (I know he's "better" with the lgbtq community but I have yet to learn if he still has an aversion to homosexual males), incompetent, greedy, dishonest, lazy, etc. Etc. Etc. I'm not saying that Chris doesn't deserve a chance or guidance, but he already has been given numerous chances and opportunities to improve his situation as well as avoiding most if not all of the events that have happened. He has pushed away those who harbor genuine concern for him, he refuses to seek professional help, never heeding critical advice, and then listens to those who steer him wrong as well as blatantly falling short of his responsibilities. This is extremely evident in what happened at too many games. Chris didn't listen to warnings given to him preemptively, didn't listen to warnings given directly (in person and via Facebook) and after he was booted, he went on his usual "I'm in the right there's nothing wrong with what I did" diatribe. What's worse is he just devolved into incoherent ramblings about CPUs, even if you disregard everything else, it's appears that Chris is beyond all help except for help from a professional. I don't like seeing someone like Null, and the countless others who try to help and fix Chris wasting their time. There are many people much more deserving of help and attention. If you care that much to help Chris, perhaps do some community service instead. Hell, Chris is what got me motivated to get out and help at a local food bank once a week.
Leave him be, and watch him (hopefully) float on his own.
