Chris is a terrible person but I don't think that means he should be thrown into a pit of crocodiles. That also doesn't mean I think people like Null should feel obligated to make sure Chris isn't having his arm bitten off by a crocodile. What he needs, and frankly I believe deserves, is professional round-the-clock support in a care home or community support service to prevent him being exploited.

So yes he should be helped. But people here should only be a stop-gap for professional help.

What I mean is, I don't believe Chris should receive much to any help whatsoever, I believe them to be a terrible person. They may be a transgender, autistic, and emotionally damaged individual, but that doesn't make them a good person. Null is doing what he feels is necessary by helping Chris monitor his messages, and filter any that could be potentially harmful to him. This is an example of being helpful. This is something his parents or Rocky should have done 10 years ago.

I don't think people buying stuff Chris sells on ebay because they want it for whatever reason is harmful. It's basically a business transaction regardless of the reasons people have for making their purchase. If they want him to write some silly message on a picture of himself, and pay him for it, they both get something out of it.

People throwing money at him every time he makes a begging for money video are not helping him in the long term. They are enablers. Chris has been coddled and enabled for his whole life, and he basically considers his "fans" as his new daddy since Bob died. Chris begging for money on the internet is basically "Daddy can I have some money for a new toy". "Daddy can I have some money for the Bronycon". And people enabling this are no different than people who have family members with drug, gambling, etc problems who are irresponsible with their money and always bail them out. Obviously the cycle continues, because why wouldn't it with no consequences.

I've seen a lot of discussion about whether or not Chris should get a job, or is capable of having a job. The only thing preventing him from working a job is his sense of entitlement and the people who enable his lifestyle. People with a lot more serious issues than Chris work jobs. In fairness they probably had better parenting. There are numerous programs specifically for people with various conditions to have jobs.

edit: oops, I didn't answer the question: Yes, he deserves help. Genuine, sincere, constructive help, such as someone giving him some encouragement and guidance to make better life choices. I believe what null is doing is an example of this, but I think he does need someone more local to him.
