The journoscum are hard at work shilling this slop.

If it reaches the peak on the weekend or even passes it then it'll be redeemed in the eyes of gaming journalism and they were right.

I don't think that'll happen.
Journos, like all leftists, use Doublethink, and Narcissist prayer.

It didn't happen, but if it did, it was a good thing, ect.

they really cheer on these dev's to make tons of unforced errors, and they do! because to Leftists, conforming to the Leftist Dogma, is literally more important than their own lives, economic or otherwise.

its just how they are are, you can't help these people, and they cannot learn or adapt to failure, because they Doublethink it away.

I suspect that originally it probably wasn't 3v3 but during internal playtesting they couldn't get their jeetcode into a stable state so they dramatically lowered the player numbers per match instead of hiring competent people to code their garbage.

I am not killing it out of spite, I am gleefully watching it die.
Because as a multiple decade long enjoyer of quality gaming I like to watch bad games go to shits and the people who made them lose their jobs.

tf2bros keep winning
Not gonna lie if they added a payload gamemode to Deadlock i would probably primarily play that. The only thing that can kill a Valve game is Valve.

I wonder how the game would be doing if it wasn't mentioned at the Game Awards?
It would have silently dropped, got zero attention, and probably peaked at 30k before dropping in playerbase.

Have they not learned their lesson yet?
Nope. Game executives are retarded. They can't fathom the fact that if multiple live service games come out that are exactly the same, people will flock to the one that was already out. They think that if they shovel every game mechanic people are familiar with in a game it will just print money and people will switch over. The main reason Marvel Rivals got popular was because Overwatch 2 shat itself and a replacement was needed, but executives will look at its success and go "Thats it! We need to make another 6v6 hero shooter! It's obviously in high demand!" and make another generic game with no changes to the way the games played.

Highguard at least tried to do something special, but it looks and feels more like a gamemode for apex rather than another game, and that gamemode is dog shit.

I saw a bunch of footage of characters riding their horses with their left hand out like it was holding the reins of the horse, but there were no reins actually rendered.

I just watched Dunkey's video, and when he got on his horse while holding some sort of heavy weapon held with both hands, he temporarily had two left hands.

If nothing else, this game obviously needed a lot more time in the oven, I'm not sure why they thought they had to put it out now now now unless they'd run out of investor money and had to try and start bringing in something at all costs.

I'm not sure why they thought they had to put it out now
They might have thought they could get away with the equivalent of turning in a zipped jped file with a .pdf extension as your project in uni when you just need a bit more time.
But then someone put a big fucking spotlight on their game and now its blowing up for all the wrong reasons.

I mean there ARE good games that aren't either, but they are rare as fuck.
I don't think they are rare. I think the people who perceive things to be this way, it's because it's true for their tastes.

I play games by Hooded Horse, Matrix, Slitherine, WDS, Nightdive, etc.
I never feel like someone's pushing an agenda on me and I don't think anything I play is slop. I think most people who cry about slop would be filtered by an actual good game, and what they view as good, were probably like xbox 360 AA action games? You know, synthetic ma'am tier stuff.

Or forget the big brain games by companies like Matrix or Slitherine, if you like RTS things are amazing right now. We've got Gates of Hell: Ostfront, we've got Beyond All Reason (FOSS btw), Sanctuary Shattered Sun (SupCom clone) and DORF rts are all coming out.

Meanwhile Nightdive just stays shitting out gold like it's nothing.

There are lots of good games out there if your tastes are more advanced than "arena shooter", "MOBA" or "third person shooter".

Bringing up the player chart again since I haven't seen that specific point brought up. Normal games will have ups and downs as the day goes, depending on the demographic that plays it. I'm assuming it basically shares the same as a lot of games goes, where there's a slump at 5am EST before it starts picking back up again, but here, it really struggles to go back up and is starting to go down again as we're already past the peak point for today.

It might spike next weekend, but I kinda doubt it. They blew their load at the wrong time and everyone saw the game for what it is already.

Gamers are literally sick of live service slop games. Have they not learned their lesson yet?
Depends on the game really. Arc raiders is still doing quite well. The live service loop is fun.

I wonder how the game would be doing if it wasn't mentioned at the Game Awards?

It's because of Geoff that the game got that big spike. He'll be negotiating higher fees now that even a shit game got that big of a spike because of him.
It might spike next weekend, but I kinda doubt it. They blew their load at the wrong time and everyone saw the game for what it is already.

Yeah if it came out on a Friday it would grow through the weekend. It came out early in the week, people who wanted to try it tried it and may not be touching it again.

Such a limited experience in such a highly praised game by the jurnos.

Half Life 3 is like Santa Clause to these people.
But they're terrible children so Santa never comes.
I however have been a good and proper boy so I've been LOVING Half Life 3 for at least 2 years it truly is the best thing ever.
Old comment but I have no idea why people thought there was even a chance half life would show up at the Keighley awards. Valve’s platform is much larger than anything Keighley could ever dream of, and if they were to announce it, they’d do it on their own terms, probably at the Dota championships.

hot take: this game is going to be a banger, if it actually releases, which I am doubting now that it will lol.
Your hindsight sir.

I think to be a concord-like, it needs a few more specific things:
I say a concord like needs
1-a big studio or famous lead dev
2-a massive budget
3-zero public interest from the moment it’s announced
4-bland,ugly, and an otherwise forgettable set style
5-unnecessary diversity for lefty points
6-must be live service and/or multiplayer focused not a traditionally single player
7-very bad sales
8-extremely short lived.

So far I can think of:
Concord
Suicide Squad
Hyenas
Law Breakers
Battle born
Marvel’s Avengers
Gotham Knights
The Culling 2
New World

All they had to do is give their own take of Titanfall a game they worked on and have experience with and they would have been golden. Instead they decided to chase a dead, over saturated trend with tbe worst execution and game design choices that make me ask: What were they thinking!

The game shoukd have been like 32 vs 32 and have one team hold a castle, improve it etc while the other team scours, prepares and gather resources for a siege while being harrased by the castle players. All culminating in a siege battle. Instead we got whatever the fuck this is.
