Hit by Youtube's AdBlocker detection. Help needed.

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Got the three videos notification on Brave. My temporary workaround has been to open YouTube an incog tab without logging in and just paste whatever I was initially gonna watch and it worked, but I suspect that I'm on borrowed time.

EDIT: It’s safe to log in onto YouTube on a Brave incog tab (for now).

it's reddit but it works.
TLDR - purge your cache, update your filters and if you're using a browser like Brave that has its own adblock, disable those.
Sadly you have to update the filter every time youtube comes up with new "fixes".

Click the little clock icon (shown as a triangle with an exclamation mark inside because I clicked the clock) and press Update Now.
Close and reopen your browser, youtube should now not cockblock you.

Clearing browser cache seems to reset the ad blocker warning popup. Then I can keep watching with ublock turned on.

I've been getting ads in between videos playlists like music mixes, which aren't getting blocked though.

This doesn't seem to work in Firefox. Unless I'm doing it wrong. Even disabling your Adblock doesn't help. You either uninstall it or to YouTube says you could fuck off. Well, I can say YouTube has uses and there some good channels out there, but if I can't find a way to browse the site like everyone used to I have no interests in it. Hell the majority of content seems to be reactors and streamers. So it's not like I'm going to miss anything revolutionary on that site.

I'm using Brave

Edit: Seems like something has been updated and I'm no longer getting ads between videos in playlists, hopefully it stays that way. Still haven't seen the Adblocker popup after clearing cache once I got the three strike popup.

What browser are you using?
Firefox, ublock, with all the filters up to date. Clicking on a video after loading up youtube home works fine. Opening a video in a new tab seems to not load all of the scripting that sets up the UI, so I end up with this:

Works in a private window. Works when I log out of my account on a regular window. Disabling extensions makes no difference if I'm logged in. At this point, I have to assume it's a broken-as-fuck chunk of poisoned data that gets re-created when I log in to my youtube account.

Invidious is great, I prefer yewtu.be. (For best experience, go into settings, enable DASH, and enable proxy. Makes it stop fucking up sometimes, makes seeking better, and enables higher resolutions.)

This happened to me a few days earlier, you have clear your browser cache and restart.

Their way of blocking videos from playing is so inefficient that, if ublock isn't working, all you have to do is go to inspect element and delete one fucking line.
Not a line, an element. But yes: web devs are completely fucking retarded and their client-side security is bypassable by literal children.

I simply switched to a different browser that was still open, then switched back to the still open page, and then it started. Wonder if the programmers are so bad they are breaking things.
