The only thing they need to improve on in Hogwarts 2 is the social/school life. Copy Bully as a blueprint and expand upon that.
Strangely enough the skinner box of a phone game Hogwarts Mystery managed this pretty well. Just have a shit load of interesting characters you can sit down and chill with. That's all the game really needed. Well, that and quidditch.

And the school itself needs more secrets and locations. It was easily the best part of the game.
I think a timeskip to the final year would be cool, let you take your exams and still have a big plot in the background. The game doesn't need to end just because the school year does.

I just want more content in Hogwarts. They did a good job of building a great in-game rendition of Hogwarts, but most of the content is sending you out of it.
I think that's the only way to do a sequel. The executives were probably worried about the school work being 'too boring' and mandated that the majority of the game be about exploring the wider world, but there are enough autists who grew up on Harry Potter who would love that shit.

In the initial announcement, you were supposed to be able to pick a subject to be proficient in above the others, but that stuff was all stripped down, which is a shame.

You could make the school vastly more entertaining by making it forbidden to wander at night, requiring stealth, and by making classes an actual activity you can engage in via mini games. Like others have said, Bully is the perfect blueprint.

Acing your classes in Bully also gave you tangible benefits in the form of special items or combat techniques. I would say nix the talent system entirely and let all of your perk upgrades come from doing your classes.

I think also one of the major reasons they funnel you out of the school so often is because there's no good way to engage with combat on the grounds of Hogwarts. And admittedly the game's combat system is a lot of fun, so I wouldn't want the open world cut down entirely.

The game really needs a writing overhaul. The only character with a quest line I would consider remotely well written is Sebastian. He's the closest thing to a friend it feels like you can have. It helps that he has a story with personal stakes that also effects several other characters around him, including the player.

Poppy has a fun enough quest line about saving magic animals, which is okay, but Natsai is fucking awful and there isn't even a Ravenclaw rep.

True.
Sebastian & Poppy are cool. Natsai suck ass.
I think the Indian Ravenclaw boy has having his character arc.

I don't want them to copy GTA I want them to copy Yakuza.
Lots of side content, lotsa activities, and Magic Majima everywhere.

Sebastian is fucking great. Dude's going to end up the wizarding version of The Punisher, locked up in Azkaban for life, or both.

DLC incoming

Does look like they've been working on it daily according to https://steamdb.info/app/990080/depots/

Wouldn't mind replaying the game again, it was a good experience. Still salty that it got ignored at all game awards and game shows, the DEI oppression was real with this title.

I called out this woke garbage game a long time ago, it did fall through the cracks and now is some how accepted as none woke???.. all because normies did see some trannys crying about jk rowling. This shit game is full of DEI and is definitive woke. All the youtube grifters that is defending to buy this game at release, because of the crying trannies are shills. Look at the fake anti woke memes that was done at the time. The woke game developers was laughing all the way to the bank. You harry potter fans got fooled hard and hogwarts is tainted forever.
