It's been three hours and I still can't buy the fucking game. I'M SICK OF IT

Games are so bloated and huge today that I really don't even want to bother with these 100gb "realistic" games, just give me some good old fashion retro style game, you can't put gameplay quality on the sidelines in favor of "story" and visuals as if you're trying to make a movie, the gameplay has to be solid in these retro style games fundamentally.

Modern AAA games are dreadful. I will occasionally pick one up a few years after release when it's on sale and it's always so hollow. Sure, they might kill some time, but they never leave an impression. Games becoming so disposable is what has almost killed the industry. It's visual fast food.
I've personally had more fun playing a $20 games like Project Zomboid and Stardew Valley than I have with the latest $70 release.

Is this game even going to be any good like do I just buy this nonsense to see why the autists are shrieking like monkeys at the zoo?

I felt the same way about Deltarune but didnt buy it because I have never once enjoyed a game the internet insists is fantastic.

Maybe I just hate video games.

Fan communities can ruin games entirely for people, it's a real shame. Disco Elysium is up there amongst my favorite games, yet the fanbase is one of the most annoying libsit shitpiles I have ever seen.

Back on topic, I still cannot check out. Got to the card information screen once but it failed. Nice thing about working from home is I can pop and check my main computer while I wait for compiling to finish.

Really not liking the start of this game. Sit there and press a button to gamble to continue or wait hours until you're allowed to continue? Really cool, Team Cherry.

Edit: Got past that part.

Wait, wait, how does this go? Erm...

'You're making me feel kinda weird, that's a weird thing to say, drop a ten pack now! Double chuck!'

(I don't know, I don't really follow BossmanJack much)

Apparently GoG was down for a bit too idk if it came back up.

Xbox is also having issues
It must of, I'm installing now. Would have been faster but I haven't used GOG in years and forgot everything. IT'S TIME

Edit: coob.webp
Steam sissies..... it's over

Project Zomboid and Stardew Valley
Two awesome examples of the good games you still get with these indie games, even something like Endoparasitic is so much better than anything AAA has spit out in the past decade. It's really out of the box and fun, the kind of creativity with gameplay you don't see in the AAA space.

Is Silksong DRM free on Steam or just the GOG version? I feel like GOG is the smarter platform to buy it on.

So far I haven't seen anything about DRM on steam

steam has its own DRM which is very easily crackable, but still exists. the gog version will essentially be capable of being played by just copying its installer onto a usb drive and taking it anywhere you go.

You saved my ass, friend. This worked and it's installing now. I get to play for an hour before work, hell yeah.
I think a lot of other people may have just had the same idea as Humble Bundle isn't working for me at the moment. I should probably just just GOG but I like having all my games in the same place.

Edit: FINALLY managed to get the Steam store to work. Just in time for my lunchbreak as well. Will report back on how it is.
