Horrifying Things That Are Viewed As Normal

I do want to point out, in reference to the free grace discussion on the last page, that some other denominations apply works in a bad way too, specifically the Catholic practice of the priest assigning a punishment/task to get out of the punishment. I don't think it's honest to act like men have any control over that (any ability to absolve) and it cheapens it all by making it transactional.

The whole business is part of why I like Mormonism a lot, because it is a works religion, but it still rewards faith (adhering to the correct religion) without punishing heathens outright. (Their version of purgatory could be considered a punishment, but it's not being thrown into Hell for eternity/having your soul snuffed out.)

The fact the majority of communication is controlled by a couple corporations. Especially when these corporations are used as tools by government agencies to curtail speech, bypassing the first amendment (For example the FBI telling Facebook to cover up the Hunter Biden story).

This convinced me big social media should be forced to carry all legal speech.

The absolute death of lesbian culture and the rise of queer culture on its corpse.
> have women only social groups
> men can now be women
> have women only social groups full of men

I actually do feel pretty bad for genuine lesbians. They've had the entire subculture they built gutted and colonized by the very category of person they sought to escape. It's actually really horrifying to think about; Like some kind of monster wearing the skin of its victim.

I'm disgusted by how much inordinate crime blacks commit worldwide without any mainstream recognition of this fact. Violent and senseless crime specifically.
Even worse, when they treat families like shit and act as it's "tough love." Then wonder why some of their children resent them after.

I hate how being ignorant of things is almost seen as a point of pride among some people. I don't mean that you should be on the edge of killing yourself because you don't know something or anything crazy like that, but the attitude of "Yeah I don't know that, why should I even care enough to find out about it?" bothers me. No one is demanding that you go and get a PhD in every subject matter from economics to anime, but don't you want to have a wider breadth of knowledge?

To add to the point above, learned helplessness and an avoidance of learning things, and being almost proud of it is crazy to me. I meet so many younger people who can't cook at all and no interest in trying, some of them I think can barely do their own laundry; then you have people (of all ages, but when it's a younger person it's extra perplexing) who spend all day on their computers and phones but barely know how to do things other than use social media and Pornhub. If I had to guess, I'd say that the majority of my peers couldn't find out how to defrag their hard drive without someone holding their hand. In 2022 I still see tons of people complaining about having to sit through Youtube ads... do you not have the critical thinking skills to at least do a Google search to see if there's something like, I don't know, an ad-blocker that exists or maybe even a browser that has one built in by default? Laziness? Stupidity? A little bit from Column A and a little bit from Column B?

I'm away in Memphis, TN. "Most violent city in America," according to a former police officer. The mayor won't let then do their jobs, one Black cop was even written up for cussing at a felon during arrest.

Evidently, it's run through slave money. All of Tennessee's infrastructure is funded through there. Yet, nothing but potholes and rolling blackouts.

Add insult to injury, we saw a group of teens ride recklessly on the highway with off road vehicles in front of a cop. Cop just sat there. Christ.

Shit like this is proof that western society is cracking at the seams and a cunt hair away from collapse. At least, that's my opinion.

Maybe not quite “horrifying” but the general aversion to commitment these days. It’s basically socially acceptable at this point for zoomers to be 20-30 minutes late for everything. Flaking and just not showing up with zero explanation is more common than ever and ghosting people you’re dating is considered by a good portion of the population to be perfectly fine behavior.
I saw a Burger King that specifically asked for applicants 50 and over. Right on the sign.

This whole migrant situation from Texas is being handled poorly. You cannot just take a mass influx of people without any screening. Eventually, the host country will run out of resources. Then what? Bleeding heart liberals do not understand limits.

Violence as a fetish. Just about any kind of torture you can imagine has been sexualised and euphemistically called a kink, or -play (eg "breath play" for strangulation, "blood play" for cutting each other), and it's so normalised on the internet especially.

The argument basically runs:
"I like cutting myself and beating the shit out of my girlfriend... but it's okay, because it gives me a boner."
Surely that makes it worse?

I just had a horrifying realization that I am going to spoil just to save people

Cat Party isn't posting things, presumably because Cat Party doesn't want to deal with Tor. This means that somewhere..out there that Cat Party is gathering up horrifying news articles day after day and will post them En-masse once things are back to normal.
