Employees glued to phones. It's so common now that I have to wait until some stupid phone drone is done texting or checking their social media before they can check out my items or make my drink. Imagine just standing there for two minutes in Walgreens while two teenage girls use their phones to show each other the new phones they want to get. Girls in Dunkin Donuts taking selfies and watching videos completely oblivious to you standing there asking multiple times if someone can take your order. That time the manager actually took over and looked really pissed. But most of the time it's all dumb young workers playing on their phones.
They don't stock shelves. They're just standing there playing on their phones. It's crazy. Why are they allowed to carry them around all day. They can check them on break. If there's some emergency reason why you need it on you then you shouldn't be using the phone for any other reason while working.
But almost every store I go to it's the same thing. It's worse in worse neighborhoods. No doubt about that. But I've seen it in better areas too. It's becoming so commonplace that I can't get anyone's attention in some stores. So I dread going to them.
