I think the move towards automatization/digitalization specifically in retail, customer support, info desks etc. is terrible. I like to exchange hello's and thank you's with cashiers I recognize at the grocery store, be able to ask for advice that isn't or can't be indexed in some database, and generally be able to see a friendly face and talk when I'm at a business establishment. Something to add to the thread: how easy it is for parents especially to get away with child abuse. I'm a big meat eater, and don't plan on changing that, but having helped butcher animals it is kind of horrifying taking an animal apart like that. The killing itself doesn't really bother me, circle of life and all that. However the pile of viscera, and the bags of good meat, left over at the end are an uncomfortable contrast. Still tasted good though.

It's always weirded me out how when you walk through the grocery store, there are just wall to wall plastic wrapped corpses, many being over processed slurry mixes of not only different animals, but different species.
But, like you, that's not going to stop me from enjoying a good ass steak.
