How are you doing? - Kiwi Farms Wellness Check

Less than 48 hours to go before the surgery. Already planning things to do once pain-free.

Since I can't walk far, these days have been sleeping a little later than usual. Not bad but I sure am looking forward to being back on the walking path.

I'll never forget this "pain period". Know just how lucky I am. Problem is pretty straightforward, as is the treatment. Have always respected those in chronic pain, but having had a good taste of being in chronic pain, the respect has only grown.

I have a huge headache that does not want to leave, and since this whole online-only thing seems never ending, I think it's gonna get worse.
Have you tried those yellowish screen screener lenses? I know they look super autistic and don’t help everyone, but they really help me block out the eye straining stuff if I gotta use one for hours. Works with too-bright video games too.

Emotional hurt and numbness rather than physical. Have a therapy appointment on monday and my parents have given up on helping me because "I don't want to be helped nor can I be bothered to spend time with them". I'd hurt myself or anhero but I'm too much of a pussy to do so. It's just I feel more like a simulation rather than a person, I can't even call it existing. My sleep and eating schedules are fucked and I've been trying to take my antidepressants at night so I'm not so tired during the daybut I keep forgetting. Doesn't help the nightmares came back. Most recent one came from a nap and the worst part is I can never remember them so I can figure out the root of the problem

I had another dental surgery almost one week ago. Hopefully my last. I’m no stranger to the recovery process but I still hate how much my face hurts. I swear my pain meds take at least an hour to kick in, and don’t last very long. I just need to be patient; it will get better week by week as long as I take care of myself. It always has so far.

I actually had my second ‘rona shot three days after the surgery. My immune system must have been stretched thin since I truly had the “might feel like a mild flu and fever” symptoms and everything. Besides the horrendously sore arm.

The head honcho's of my work have forced it upon our store's that we have to take more seasonal items out on display. This isn't a problem for most of the stores but mine is smaller than most of the other locations in our area. Sections of my store have started to lose needed space. Especially my section. I work in a department that shops for customers and they come and pick up their groceries. However now we have no place to put our carts up front, with our space in the backroom constantly shrinking. I am not fucking looking forward to the summer.

Do people try to tip you on the sly? I've seen a lot of Karens hassling you guys. I know its against the rules or whatever, but I look at it like the pizza guy. Provide me convenience, get at least a five. Had a pizza guy earn a twenty one night cuz he stopped for smokes for me. I've had mixed success in sliding a fiver to whoever brings my shit out and puts it in my car at Hyvee and Kroger.

I watched my dad play a lot of F/a18 Korea as a kid and now the missile warning and missile lock chimes are deeply soothing, and then I watched a lot of AC videos and played a lot of plane games and even fucked around in GMod with avionics and then in a bad time of life I joined the armed forces and

Well, I'm not envious of the boys I know who did go to afghanistan, but I've grown a lot of bad reactions to chimes and beeps, and wore a lot of heavy suits for shipboard firefighting. It's like the opposite of what Ace Combat tells you. A long time in a well-paid peacetime force lets you know you know you are incredibly vulnerable and outright sensitive.

Today is THE DAY. Leaving the house in about ten minutes, need to be there by quarter til the hour. Plan to get on here later today with the results. 👍

Got back a couple of hours ago. Left side feels great. Still some residual nerve pain on right side, apparently normal. Nerves are a different animal than muscles or bones. Have meds. May take a week or so to settle down. Am patient. No pain from incision so far, Appreciate all the support. 👍

Yea it's against da rulez but we still take it. Most people do tip but only if we take it out to their car. Before the wu flu we rarely took orders out to the customer's car but now it's almost every order. It verys which places really enforce the rule. Out here in nowhere NJ we have Acme and Shoprite ( where I'm at ) so it might differ from other food libraries.

More room mate bullshit to add onto my previous post about it. Dude refuses to fix his mic and I'm getting real sick of getting messages from anime avatars on discord telling me that me opening my desk drawer is too loud and that his mic is picking it up. It's one thing to have a problem if I'm humming or something, that's totally understandable but this is way over the fucking line for me. I don't even know if I'm being unreasonable at this point.

With the way things are looking financially, I'll be out of here in October.

Baggers at military commissaries (grocery stores) work for tips only. You can bag your own food and take it to the car. Worth five bucks to me to have someone else do the work, and makes me happy to provide some income to a person, instead of a big company. I normally have the same lady bag my stuff every week. She knows how I like things done. When I get close to checking out I call for this lady. Other baggers know who I am looking for and they let her know I'm ready, if she is there. Takes a lot of aggro out of the checkout/loading process.

@Videowatcher69 - Believe EVERY generation makes up new words to replace words we already have. Couple of weeks ago asked my son why he and his friends called a 100-dollar bill a "grip". Could see the word "hundo". He'd apparently forgotten why. Gave him the hundo anyway. 😆 A little something from Pops.
