How are you doing? - Kiwi Farms Wellness Check

You core olives and stuff them with bits of habenero peppers then either pickle them or put them in olive oil I don't remember never had it olives are gross.
If food isn't spicy, it's bland.
I can dig it; but olives? Ugh.

Not a today thing, but when I bought one of those extreme heat chips, none of my co-workers would try it. Cowards.

Garlic is phenomenal; something an olive eater couldn't understand.

Olives exist for one purpose; to be made into oil.
if you peel garlic cloves and put them in ajar with olive oil so they're submerged, they will last a very long time int he fridge - and you get garlic infused olive oil which is great for cooking.

And if you put it on the countertop at room temperature and infuse it there you can culture your very own botulism, which can also have some uses.

best to keep it in the fridge. botulism isn't really that great for cooking with.

I've been meaning to make garlic confit; I'll add this to the list.

Just got the lease sent over for the new place! Hopefully they take a card because I don't have checks...or cash in my bank right now and I'll be damned if I let this place get away from me.

I was doing my first day of big rig driving when during the downtime my previous workplace calls me. They say due to an oversight, they paid me twice accidentally. So I apparently owe them $790ish. I tear them and my former head of department a new one before they say to probably pay back by installments.

Bad enough they force-fired me because I was helping children's dysfunctional families and the children themselves better than they could ever dream of and they felt threatened with the progress I was making compared to them who've been sitting around for almost a decade.

Spoiled my whole mood now seeing I'm saddled with a debt that's not even my fault.

I really got into trance music recently. I dig the good future vibes.
I often turn on trance for working.

As a side note, I've worked exclusively from home for many years until recently. What a different world the office is now! Last time I worked in an office, I had an actual office, with a nameplate and a door and all my shit up on the walls, and a separate table and polycom for conference calls. There was no video conferencing that didn't require IT to prep a conference room (on both ends). Wearing headphones in the office was suspect, considered unserious and unprofessional, and a red flag that you were probably insufficiently paying attention to work. Music required shutting my door, or waiting until after-hours - and keeping it on very, very low.

Now, of course, everyone wears a headset all day long, phone calls are all through the computer, and there's open-plan and largely unassigned seating. Though it's a little ...poignant (or something) to see everyone looking like a call center worker, I love that I can listen to music all day long between calls without worrying about my reputation - because for me, music gives me energy, tempo, and fantastic focus for work.

...

Doing well today! Finally over the covid hump, rested, and now off work for a week. In a mad dash to Christmas, and next week will be a few quiet pre-New Year planning and prep days, personally, professionally, and work-wise. Excited for it!
