I remember this company sponsored a ton of Death Battle videos and all I could think of is "Who the fuck is stupid enough to sign on for this?"

I work in a Grocery Store, and I will tell you the shit still isn't together. "Curb-side" and "Delivery" is the single worst idea a Grocery Store can do, it lowers sales because you don't get impulse shopping (which is a large amount of the money a store makes) so unless they charge for those services (and my store doesn't) to make up for it the entire concept is pure loss.Grocery stores didnt get their shit together until 2017
In developed countries the farmers market tends to be more expensive for most items. They advertise as organic, GMO free, and community-supporting, etc. Church markets and community stuff is pretty decent though. That was a stupid idea. I'm not American and in my country, the cheapest way to buy ingredients is the farmer's market, you can buy vegetables and fish in incredibly low prices. Also, we have a lot of grocery stores, I have like 5 near me, the one is opposite my house.
I remember that, in the 1990's we had a service called "Gilli Diet", a delivery service with cooked meals for people who wanted to lose weight. Gilli was the name of the owner, a Jew, who maked it big, but now nobody's buying his crap.
At least the one here seems almost completely unused, probably because they try to charge $5 a month to bring your shit out to your car for you.I work in a Grocery Store, and I will tell you the shit still isn't together. Disagree with you to a point. I was on a board of directors (volunteer work) for 4 years dealing with farmer's markets in my region. A majority of famer's market items are grown locally and are NOT tagged as ORGANIC. There is a big cost to have that tag and that cost is past to the REEEETARDS IN GENERATION FAIL.In developed countries the farmers market tends to be more expensive for most items. how can someone so cute always sound like such a snarky douche in their comments? No wonder you're a regular in the porn thread you fucking weirdoI love everyone in this thread using 2020 logic for this company? If you didnt live in a major city and didnt feel like going to a grocery store in 2015 your options were either blue apron or fucking yourself. Grocery stores didnt get their shit together until 2017. Also obviously this company was for people with more money than time. Thats how it was advertised originally, that and as alternative to eating out, which is why it had small portions too. Im ashamed at all the snark in this thread for this company! Without them who would keep our favorite podcasters and youtubers from getting a real job? Raid:Shadow Legends wasnt invented back then.
Working with retards is infectious. This is EXACTLY what I am referring to the mindset of GENERATION FAIL. To say that there is a market for this sort of RETARDATION is a serious understanding on how FUCKING LAZY GENERATION FAIL IS.
THIS sector of the market SHOULD NOT EXIST, but it does and it shows the impendency of that mindset for these shit heads to spend their money.
Whether it is Blue Apron or any of the companies that offer CONVENIENCE to these fucking hipsters the only purpose they exist is to take your MONEY that you could be saving by yourself.
Again. I saved over 18.5 thousand last year just by just cooking at home. BUYING in bulk, not dealing with any sort of company like this and not going to fast food joints/restaurants. I am saving a shitload more this year and you better believe it I'm turning it over into my other investments.
It's that "saving money in order to make money", mantra I've been saying a long time here.
You have ONLY so much productive time in YOUR life to get ahead. And over and over again people ignore this and just spend it like they have it. THEY DON'T.
Then they expect for ME... TO HELP THEM... BY THE USE OF MY TAXES?... That I paid into??? Go fuck a duck you worthless socialist man cunt.
Yea... I know there are exceptions to the rule and there are people in Generation's Fail's age that actually have the common sense to look at life and see that have to try to get ahead. To them you have my sympathies and understanding of the struggles that you are going through.
BUT god damn it I see more and more retardation in my region where I live that its normal to see EXPENSIVE CARS all lined up getting their food at a local food bank.
That is how bad the hard reality of people bitching of being poor and yet have what I consider luxury items in their lives, when they should be saving money to try to get ahead.
Therefore I have little if no sympathy to people in my region as most are just doing the same types of hustles that has been done in my youth.

It like the fucking bullshit about canned food being bad for you and loss of vitamins as such. If there really is any there is not that much that you can worry about. The same goes with frozen food as well.
This is AGAIN the fucking same mindset as those assholes that were going to set up their home depot gardens during those "peaceful" protests in Washington. You saw how that worked out.
Organic farming is hard to do and to do it all of the way is virtual suicide in the end. The loss of food to pests/fungus/bacteria infections to your crops is great A common sense approach is always needed when you are farming and/or gardening.
And if everything is so fucking bad, the way the Organic Industry is stating on certain things why is this happening?

An Update on Cancer Deaths in the United States
Cancer death rates dropped 27% in the United States from 2001 to 2020.www.cdc.gov
Again fucking BULLSHIT BY GENERATION FAIL'S HIPSTERS TO MAKE QUICK MONEY.
Note: I spent 8.5 years of my life working with the developmentary disabled. Both physically and mentally. I guess God wanted to do this as because of my.... Background, I was given some of the most violent cases these certain companies had on file. However working with those clients were some of the happiest moments of my life when I had the time to do so.
I kept them busy by growing a large garden and we did it mostly organic however we had to at times use minimal amounts of fungicides. Such as to control red rust that is common to have when growing green/regular onions. Organic farming works to a point and only to a point. Then you need your common sense to do the rest.
I never tried either since I have two grocery stores within 5 minutes away from me & find it far more economical & convenient to just pick up a Proteins & Veggies on my commute home.I wonder why Blue Apron failed while HelloFresh is still around and apparently succesful. I see their busses in my Eurotrash city on a daily basis. They could be losing money behind the scenes though, I don't know.
I used HelloFresh when I had a burn-out and lived alone and it was pretty great. Healthier and tastier than pre-made meals from the supermarkets here and with super easy instructions that even my fried brain could follow.
But if you're not temporarily ill/disabled or working so much you have no time at all to shop or think about meal planning, I don't really see the benefit. It's not cheap.
the government won't bail you out if you lose the lottery. These venture capitalist are all hunting for the next Tesla the next Paypal or the next Amazon.
What they end up with 90% of the time is pure shit like WeWork, Theranos, Twitter and yes Blue Apron.
Good idea's in "theory" but shit-tastic in practice.
Fuck, Theranos cost like 6 billion dollars in wiped out investments when it folded and god knows how much will be lost when WeWork finally collapses, could be 10 to 20 Billion in investment capital just poof gone.
For every successful company boosted by VCs you have 20 failures that cost millions in lost money.
Might as well play the lottery
My friend and his wife thought it was cool for a while when they had to balance college classes, a full-time job, and at the time were still learning how to cook. They haven't used it in years since they graduated and actually learned to cook.Anyway, the point im trying to make is that not even a physical grocery store could get people to throw one in their cart out of curiosity. Who was this for?
I figured there were enough BriWus out there that this was a viable business model, but yeah a product that teaches your customer to not need your product might be nice as a way to improve the world, but it sounds like a bad long-term business model. My friend and his wife thought it was cool for a while when they had to balance college classes, a full-time job, and at the time were still learning how to cook. Which should tell you why this product is stupid, since inevitably the user will become good enough at following instructions on cooking they'll just buy the ingredients straight up and won't waste their money on Blue Apron.
