How Blue Apron Became a Massive $2 Billion Disaster

When I was living alone and had a larger disposable income, I found Blue Apron fun not only for teaching cooking in general and new/semi-intimidating recipes (seafood which is always too pricy for me to buy and just “wing it”), but also forcing me to try new foods I wouldn’t otherwise try. I learned about several curries and vegetables via Blue Apron, which I now love. But as others posted, now that I’m a better cook (and also have a car to buy ingredients at will), Blue Apron is obsolete for me. Their seafood, curry, Mediterranean, and pasta dishes are nice, but you can’t only pick those recipes. If you could, it might make a fun weekend hobby, but otherwise? Internet/YouTube and access to stores with fun ingredients does the same thing.
