How did you find out Phil in the first place?

It was this one where I found out about him.

Stopped watching anything about him afterwards & this was the video which made me continue seeing what this guy was about.

I was looking for some MGS3 footage, and youtube recommended dear old Phil to me. I think I watched some of the playthrough in his channel before moving on to the TIHYDP video of it. It actually hurt to watch, but I kept up with all of it anyway. Didn't follow his shenanigans after until I stumbled across this forum here.

EDIT: Actually, thinking more on it, it was because of comments on a MGS3 video talking about someone that talked over the long stair part of the game and how much of a moron he was. I knew I needed to witness it in all its glory.

I would hear about this guy for years and would look into him from time to time. I'd see a video here, a video there.

It wasn't until Retsuprae had a Retsucast focused on him that I really started to look into the guy but forgot about him after a month.

Then I came back around the Seattle move and well here I am.

He was mentioned in a Larry Bundy Jr. video...can't remember which one.

I also watched the Down the Rabbit Hole video on him. Props to Fredrik Knudsen for its creation!

About 3 years ago I was on youtube and a video showed up in recommended... something like worst youtuber ever or worst person on youtube. I thought surely not, that's just mean. Funny thing is I can't even remember what the video was highlighting but by the time it was done I was like wow, yeah this guy is a real piece of shit. I've been hooked on the saga of dirty phil ever since.

I had a friend who unironically liked his videos and gave him money a few times. This friend said that DSP was the best let's player out there and "told it like it was when it came to games."

In 2012 I beat the shit out of DSP in Soul Caliber V online - I vaguely recognized the username, googled him, and have been following along laughing ever since.

I saw him get mad on SRK back when his account(s) weren't deleted, but I never interacted with him. I think the first videos of DSP I saw were his SF4 matches, which were no different from the way how he plays fighting games in 2017.

I came to kiwifarms for Russell Greer. I stayed for DSP.

Retsupurae's "Day in the Life" video was the first I had heard of him, but it's only within the last couple of months that I've truly become aware of the DSP "saga", if you will. Now, I don't go out of my way to dig up and scrutinize every scrap of info pertaining to Phil, but I regularly watch Snort Burnell's videos and check up on this forum and Kimberlie's Twitter for a good chuckle. I've only watched a handful of TIHYDP videos and I've only attended a stream once (I got banned in about 30 minutes for saying Leanna watches the stream while Tyrone is eight inches deep in her, guess I deserved that). But even with my limited exposure to him, I can safely say that Phil is an irredeemable piece of human garbage and I will not be contributing to his Public Goutreach Program.

I found out about DarkSydePhil through Fredrik Knudsen's Down the Rabbit Hole series on Youtube. Fred makes some really interesting documentaries with excellent editing, including some content about Chris Chan and Sonichu.

Fred's video on DSP is now six months old, and a lot has happened in the DSPhere since then! DSP is portrayed in an unbiased way in the video, even to the point of being sympathetic to the audience. So I was surprised to find so many negative videos following his and wanted to learn more.

I think I watched some of his gameplay videos back in the day, but didn't realize how awful he was at them until much, much later.

I knew about Phil from his Heavy Rain playthrough, so my first impression of him was actually a positive one since that is a good playthrough. I didn't stick around, though. It wasn't until years later when I saw the TIHYDP for MGS3 that I became interested and found out what a piece of shit he is.

The classic TIHYDP MGS3 and MGS2 videos. I laughed for like 10 minutes when he went to grab the shotgun to fight The End and whined about how it wasn't saved in his inventory.

I think I found him after searching for some info on a game back in 2008 or 2009, was a huge fan (minus the blaming his fails on games) and kept watching him until like 2012 where real life stuff stopped me.
Took a look at his youtube channel again some months ago, was shocked that his subs were so few.
Now I watch his streams on Twitch.
