How did you find out Phil in the first place?

I discovered him from the time he was mentioned in a GradeAUnderA video. (timestamp is 4:00)

a friend told me he sucked and i like to be contrarian so i tuned into a night stream and honestly didnt find him so bad. he had met the tips goal by the time i was there and was drunk so he was looser and interacting with chat and i thought maybe hes just a crotchety old guy gimmick and gamers just didnt get it (didnt know his real age) anyway i tuned in to the 1st stream the next day and he spent 45 minutes ranting like a lunatic, started gameplay around the 90 minute mark and asked for money literally every 2 mins and now i cant look away

How do you feel about dsp also being a nigger guy too like yourself now?

That is a good question. I think I ran into some compilations of him playing badly. After that I got hooked on his prestream compilations.
Phil was interesting because he did everything in the wrong way and still made it. Not to mention was a lolcow without a proper disability, thus the had everything going on for him willingly.

afair, years ago I was looking up a game where I was stuck and found one of his videos. I was immediately disgusted just by the look of the pigroach and knew thats one slimey little piece of shit.

The Farms. He seemed to be a relatively boring, harmless idiot. While that remains the same, the lore is pretty funny if you have enough time to waste on it.

The incident I'm pretty sure, because it was trending on twitter at one point and I was following certain people who were following this sort of news as well. It wasn't till years later though when I actually started to follow his antics.

Hello Everybody! I came across DSP about 5-6 years ago when I was looking up GTA: San Andreas. I didn't play it at its release and wanted to see game play. His video was on top so I clicked on it. He was on a motorcycle mission chasing someone and screwed it up multiple times lol. I thought he was just a bad gamer and too lazy to edit...I had no idea he was this slimy until detractor videos popped in my recommended on youtube. I converted to detractorism in the Summer of 2018 and my favorite moments are between the Turvin Halloween blow up and earlier a video of him being teased on Friday the 13th online. I greatly appreciate the laughs and entertainment many of you have brought me. Praise be🙏

I believe it was a montage of DSP's terrible Street Fighter 4 gameplay with the infamous "WHAAAA? HE SET IT TO 30 SECONDS???" match. Way before EvilAJ's This is How You Don't Play of MGS2 funnily enough.

I watched the knudson video but i didn't get any deeper interest in phil any more than the other down the rabbit hole videos. Then i don't know how i came around to get hooked on phil. I think either LSB or Based Ozlo were the first video i watched, ozlo's recaps are top tier i hope that guy can keep making them. I love listening to the multi-hour detractor videos while playing minecraft in the lazy summer days. I decided to join the farms after phil got his bankruptcy granted, I picked Full Race Replay as a tribute to the videos that were on the formula 1 youtube channel at the time. You guys are the best, this is more entertaining than any sort of tv show I could watch. And if and when the kiwifarms inevitably get shut down i'll still remember the long-form tevin videos and all the restreamers out there.

Unlike most people, I came to know of DSP way back in 2011 from watching one of his Red Faction Guerilla playthrough videos that happened to be on the YouTube front page. Even then, he displayed the same kind of behavior that he's known for now: blaming the game for his own losses. Out of curiosity, I watched more of his videos and figured he was a joke. It's hard to believe that he would eventually become one of the biggest lolcows online years later.

I actually had a friend who was telling me about DSPGaming back in 2018 but in 2019 was when I really looked into it. I actually heard of DSP before that instance in a GradeAUnderA video back in 2016.

I was working during the summer and I was listening to some dumb shit to pass the time, I liked long reviews of stuff and one day happened to hear his Magnum Opus - the million views Homefront review. "worst game ever" apparently.

I listened to him and at first I had no real impression of him, but this guy was so actually angry about this game, so spiteful that it made me look him up. He was talking about making like 10 000 videos on YouTube..

Pretty bizarre, huh? I had never heard of "Phil from K.O Gaming" and obviously that was his "let's start over and nobody will know im a stain to the gaming community" channel. People were clowning him in the comments, but I paid no mind to it.

Some time after that some detractor video randomly appeared on my feed and here I am years later.
