Even by being neutral when they do, more moderate/sane/etc people will be drawn to or more comfortable around you for it. You'll find each other. I have worked in ridiculously woke/liberal institutions and found "my people" by not engaging or caving into retarded stances (trans kids, trans in sports, open borders for rapefugees forever, etc)

When I meet new people, I ask them open questions that force their hand without giving up my own position that would prompt drama. As soon as their jig is up, I avoid and distance, because being forthcoming with my views invites an argument without a winner and they don't deserve my time or energy I would spend by participating.

I literally make no comment or say something neutral that doesn't betray my values and move away. They're a lost cause of brain rot and associating with them in any way is a total waste of my time. Surface friendships with people of differing values should work in theory but in the current environment it is at the forefront of every interaction and not worth entering the minefield of emotional manipulation to call yourself their friend.

For people I already know that are cretins of modernity with no hope of recovery, I have distanced myself from members of my family or outright terminated friendships. It's just not worth it to me.

You are the sum of the people you associate with, so choose wisely, and be ruthless in doing so.

As for how I'm dealing with it long term? I will live on a lifestyle block that is my slice of the world with my own family, and I work remotely. Easy as.

I find that the main problem is how obsessed a person is with politics. People who rant about their political views all day are tiring. It's especially annoying if you disagree with them but even if you agree you'll eventually reach a point where you just want them to shut the fuck up. I'm friends with people who disagree with me politically but don't go apeshit when we talk about it. Agree to disagree and all that.

That's my suspicion with people who complain all the time about how "woke" everyone is. My guess is that they act very aggressive about their views which then forces political differences to the forefront, and they're just too bad at conversation to know what else to even talk about besides ultra-politicized current events.

There are liberal political obsessives that are in your face about it certainly, but I have no idea what the political opinions of most of the people I know/interact with are because it's all dumb nonsense and I'd rather talk about how weird ducks are as an animal than hash out our differences on BLM.
