Who doesn't love Buffalo Wings? They are amazing appetizers to have and great if you want something flavorful and quick.
For a long time I preferred boneless but I have been converted to liking them with bones (not eating the bones ofc)
I like them very spicy, whatever restaurant has the spiciest basically. Sriracha, Korean flavor and BBQ are also nice too. They go best with some ranch and celery as well.
I think wings are overrated and most of the wing chains are outright terrible, but it was a clever way of turning a piece of meat that used to be considered useless garbage into something you could actually sell.
Boneless with garlic parmesan sauce. Cheese and chicken sounds like a weird combination to me but I like it.
Or barring that, straightforward fried chicken wings and drumsticks without some sauce slathered all over it. Or I put ketchup on it myself if in the mood for sweet.
I like the legs more than the wings tbh. Wings are great and Philly hosts the wing bowl, it's a event to take pride in gluttony and being drunk in the morning. The whole culture isn't my thing.
As @AnOminous said, the history is correct it was junk meat and now wings are rather costly cuts, compared to rest of chicken. When I make them at home I oven fry vs deep fryer. Personally I think it has a better texture, health bonus aside.
I tend to like your basic OG wings. There's a place I hit up sometimes, I have no idea what kinda hormones they pump the chickens with but they could be mistaken for eagle wings. Yet, the quality is still banging.
As far as wings go, I like them with bones. Spiciest I had were from a Chinese restaurant. Wouldn't mind trying the spicier stuff but that's more for trying to find places that make good wings.
