Jokes aside, I hate this sort of editing, too. What happened to normal paced videos or edits where it isn't just popping words every word? Like, my guy, we hear you, not all of us have a hearing disability. You don't need to pop up every single word you say. And all the music they choose is so unoriginal, too. Millions upon millions of music to discover and potentially put into your videos, and what do they do? They pick the most overused ones possible. Like, spending a few seconds searching "uncopyrighted music" on the YouTube search bar.

It's prevalent with most ROBLOX youtubers, Minecraft youtubers, Mr. Beast wannabes, all of the sorts. If you see shaky images or even more editing that's basically someone's first experience with After Effects, always expect it to be made by a foreigner. It's always a foreigner for some reason.

These people don't wanna stand out or make something within good paces, they just want them retention rates to explode and rely on their abysmal dopanyl editing style to keep people dragged in. You can make a video interesting without resorting to looking like this is your first time editing.

One time when I was talking to a commissioner he asked to add any sort of effect at least every 3 to 5 seconds, cannot complain but it gets tiresome today multimedia needs to have all your attention as much time possible.

i never typically feel old but the last time I went to a grocery store, I was in line buying my items and I saw two little kids sperging about skibidi toilet and calling pizza slices "skibidi slices" while the mom was just not doing much to calm them down. I'm usually pretty hip to internet culture and tend to understand the context of most memes posted. However, I felt old at that moment.

I can't talk too much shit because I found MLG edits hilarious when they were popular. Maybe this is what the internet is now.

In the early years of YouTube it was exciting finding a high-quality, well produced video in the swarm of unedited facecam/fraps/hypercam 2 recordings.

Now, for me at least, I almost exclusively look for the less edited/unedited content, as they can't use editing to mask a lack of substance. Also they usually have less ads.

They add dumb music to literally everything. Even things that have no business having any audio inserted in has stupid music injected into it as if that makes it better somehow.

Kind of but TikTok made it the standard. Videos were allowed to exist on their own without music slapped onto it.

This is something I never got. There are closed captions right there to let us know what y'all are saying. But no, they never use it. It doesn't take long, either. It'll make things much more bearable than having to pop every word you say on the screen - it's just. It's so annoying, man.

I'll never forgive any cretin who slaps in generic corporate whistling ukulele music on animal videos. Respect to people who just simply record the animals doing something and either add little to no commentary to it.
