I would think it more of a balancing test.
While monitor your enemies is important if they cannot come together and fight the battle is half won.
As an example, let's say your kid tells you for a LGBT tolerance lesson they had to stuff money into a Drag Queens cleavage. Rightfully outraged, you go on Twitter, FB, and Reddit to complain. You post your account of what happens but you barely get traction.
A few friends or family might reply but that's about it. The reddit post you made has no comments. The Twitter post you make is removed for community guidelines violations. But finally, your Facebook post gets shared to the local community page and is public. You think that once what has happened is revealed the community will rally behind you...but what is this?
It turns out that a local paper has called your accounts a
hoax. Of course, its real but that is enough for Facebook to limit the reach of your post.
What are you going to do?
Print out flyers and hand them to people like a fucking nut?
Maybe you will speak at a local school board meeting but the reporter covering that is a leftist and is in a
group with the reporter labeling your account as a hoax.
Now, Fren you are spreading alt-right conspiracy theories and this is what the journalist covering the school board meeting will write.
This leads to a Twitter mob calling your companies HR department about you being a dangerous employee. A Troon journalist or ally will then send an email from the .Buzzfeed, .Jezebel, or . advocate asking:
Maus, statements at the local school board meeting has been reported as a hoax (1) and the rhetoric been label as alt right (2). Do you have any comments on this employee being at your company.
That's enough to get you fired.
Now, eventually you might prove what you posted was true but that's irrelevant. A handful of people will see that.
The journalist will just claim 1A protections or use weasel words.
Circular reporting, you say? Nobody gives a shit.
Other members of the public will learn to moderate their opinions, themselves.
When the next Troon grooming event happens, perhaps the parent doesn't speak out at the school board meeting?
Maybe they just post online begging for support but are shadow banned.
No interactions, no support.
Pretty soon, those that are of weaker will just might accept it as normal and
choose not to notice as they think it's normal.

They want to isolate you to smaller and smaller groups where you feel in the minority and somehow your views are wrong. Eventually, they are hoping you will learn to self censor.
