You could try an alternative DNS root like namecoin or opennic. Even if its "just a backup" it really shouldn't add any overhead.

This issue is higher up than just your DNS root you mong. Even if Null uses his own DNS servers, his domain is still being controlled by ICANN, and they can still seize the domain name.

Null has said multiple times the Russian tld's are a no. Even in this OP.
The .Ru domain and DDOS protection brought political heat and iirc is what was used as an excuse for his business agent to drop him. No one wants to get tangled up in sanctions bullshit. I could see them trying to scare data centers with that.

.su (Soviet Union) would be comfy though, to bad.

So abandon the name. I believe that was what we were discussing. The choice will be made for you eventually. Alternative DNSs exist for exactly the reason that ICANN has become too powerful
 
Most of kiwifarms.* domains are taken since Keffals decided to send his tranny army to spend their money on them. That happened around September, so then should be the time to start searching for mirrors.

Altho, some wierd ass TLDs are still avalible because trannies are too poor to afford them. This includes TLDs that Njalla offers, such as:

They should register every domain contained within "kiwifarms", on every tld, just to be sure null doesn't publish something like k.iwifarms.net.
