If you hate Chris, why?

I can look past the laziness, the sense of entitlement, the greed, the over inflated ego, but by the almighty God bear, that whiny, high pitched nasally voice is a sin against humanity, and should be tried in a court of law for the rape of my poor ears.

I can never fully understand why people hate Chris. I mean sure he is an idiot and he's certainly narrow minded in ways, but life punishes him more than enough. Regardless of whether or not he gets paid money to sit around playing video games, his life right now is absolutely pathetic, he's forced to look after his ailing mother and then whenever she's dead he'll be completely alone and completely responsible for himself. He lives a miserable existence so the whole 'Chris is allowed to do nothing all day and never gets punished for being such an idiot' argument stands even less true now than it ever did.

Like others have said Chris has provided me with more enjoyment and interest than any video game or television show ever has, I can't hate him for that. I can be briefly annoyed when he does something stupid but he doesn't deserve hatred.
I think it stems from his lack of self-awareness. The most commonly cited reasons for real bitterness against him are things like sense of entitlement, ignorance, and hypocrisy. That all boils down to him having no sense of the rest of the world and his place in it. It is what makes him funny, and it is certainly the main reason he is so vulnerable to trolling. But some people are going to be pissed off when he reveals it.

To put it another way:" Chris believes he is much more important and better than the rest of us. He is clueless enough that that belief is constantly revealed. People don't like that.

I think a lot of people started to hate Chris in the past few years. At first he was just a big joke, but then he started getting off the hook with crimes. Which we all know we would probably be sitting in jail right now if we did them. But because he has autism he gets a free pass. Secondly people really started to become angry with him when he started to get large donations and made money off of his crappy art. Me personally I dont hate Chris I find him as entertainment.

I understand that, I can definitely see why his massive level of self importance can be frustrating for some people. The thing is though that it's completely unwarranted and he's probably never going to view himself as anything apart from an under appreciated genius so there's no point getting angry over it.

Honestly I don't understand anyone that hates Chris and yet still follows him and posts about him on a regular basis. I couldn't enjoy laughing at Chris if he made me angry all the time.

I love Chris but I hate Christine.

It's no fun when Chris is putting on an act full time and not being himself. Especially with that stupid fake fucking voice he begins all the videos with. Chris thinks becoming Christine is the answer to all of his problems but it's actually the source of everything wrong with him today. The biggest problem with Chris has always been that he can't accept himself, he always wants to be something bigger, more meaningful and respectable than he really is. But a lot of successful people on YouTube and elsewhere are not that much different than old Chris but they don't rise to full lolcow status because they're not pretentious and they don't give into critics by lashing out.

So I wish he would stop the Christine bullshit and go back to being Chris. It would be much healthier for him and as a side effect he should be pumping out some Grade A new content to mull over. He's not going to give in easily though, I think he will give up this Christine shit show but it'll take a nervous breakdown, maybe after Barb dies. I don't think that'll be fun, it'll probably be sad.

If the fat idiot can focus when playing with toys or video games or when he's making his model magic abominations, he can focus on simple tasks at a menial job.

That is exactly my point... Seriously autistic people can't choose to focus on something other than what their autism focuses them on. It isn't that they can't focus, it's that they focus too good, but only on the thing that their autism forces them to randomly glom onto. I suspect the focus is fixed in childhood. That's why so many autistic people focus on cartoon shows, toys and comic books.

I suppose if Chris happened to make a fetish out of pushing a broom or scrubbing toilets, he might be able to get a job. But he doesn't happen to be focused on that. The only thing he can do is what we see him focused on... diddling with toys, drawing crude comic books, massaging his tits... and NO ONE is going to give him a job doing any of those things.

Autism is actually a terrible illness. It isn't something I would wish on my worst enemy. Science should be working on discovering the cause and finding a cure for it. Until then, society is stuck providing a safety net to people like Chris who are completely unable to function. At least Chris is entertaining in a very public and stupid way. If he didn't have that going for him, no one would care about him at all and no one would be complaining about his tugboat.

Chris kicked my dog.

Chris insulted my religion, forever tainted my childhood fancies, and made me re-evaluate my educational future

Chris's scenario is probably the closest I'll get from seeing the homeless wander around my neighborhood, despite living on the other side of the nation. Hating Chris for being poor is just ignoring this sad world; there are too many poor.

It's just generally easy to make fun of eccentric people. Especially ones that try too hard to be badass or unconventional.

I think you're seriously overestimating how severe Chris's autism actually is. Can he get a job now, probably not, but that's due to his shit upbringing, criminal record, and the fact that he looks like a middle aged bag lady. It's not because genetics were unkind to him.

He might at some point, its not like Chris is famous for finishing things. If it dawned on him that he could get laid be being a dude again he'd be back to the goatee and gay biker outfit in no time (one of my personal favorite Chris outfits).

I don't hate Chris, but he is an irresponsible manchild who should have a caretaker and the thought of him taking care of his elderly (and evil) mother and then eventually living on his own is not a good one.

Even though he has really stupid moments, I don't hate him. Chris was the one who introduced me to the weirder side of the internet and gave me so much entertainment during my high school years.

It's alright to be mad at him at times, but when it comes to an autistic level then its time to step back.

Chris is sort of like a monument of the "internet's underbelly" -- that is, the dark and dank part of the internet that our parents should never have to look at for the sake of their sanity, the digital sewer awash with pony porn, inflated and sexualized cartoon characters, fedora-wearing fatties who think MLP is a political ideology, tumblr blogs full of novel pronouns, 240 lb blue-collar workers on a crusade to gain official recognition of their lifestyle as a six-year-old girl, fascist alcoholics who seriously draw up a scientific roadmap to develop an interdimensional portal to go to Equestria, etc. etc. etc... this lunacy-ridden madhouse of obsessions and perversions that constitutes the unsanitary and -- luckily -- to the majority of mankind unknown gut of the World Wide Web has a figurehead, and said figurehead is, of course:

One does not feel hatred or disdain for such a monument or figurehead -- one feels fascination, whether one wants to or not.

PS. Maybe on day someween will start a fundraising campaign to pay Mansudae Art Studios to fashion an actual monument of CWC and have it set up in Charlottesville.

Chris managed to graduate from both high school and college. He's capable of focusing on things outside of his obsessions.
