Ransomware operator Rhysida has posted limited data that appears to back up its claim that it has successfully hacked video game developer Insomniac Games.

Insomniac is best known for its two award-winning Spider-Man games and is currently developing a title based on Marvel’s Wolverine.

In fact, some details regarding the upcoming Wolverine game may have been included in the hack, as an annotated screenshot from the game appears to be included in the gang’s proof-of-hack data, along with character art that seems to relate to other Marvel characters that may be featured in the game.

Also included are passport scans that appear to belong to Insomniac employees, including at least one ex-employee who now works at Disney after being laid off by the developer two months ago. Another personal document appears to belong to the voice actor who voiced Peter Parker – aka Spider-Man – in the latest release of the game, Yuri Lowenthal.

Other documents featured as proof-of-hack material include internal emails and signed, confidential documents.

The Rhysida gang is saying Insomniac has seven days before the full data set is published but is also currently running an auction on the data, with a starting price of 50 bitcoins, or just over US$2 million.

“With just 7 days on the clock, seize the opportunity to bid on exclusive, unique, and impressive data,” Rhysida said on its leak site.

“Open your wallets and be ready to buy exclusive data. We sell only to one hand, no reselling, you will be the only owner!”

Some retard at Insomniac opened an .exe and they got GTA VI'd. If no one pays up at auction all the info will be made public in a week; shit is going to get interesting.

View attachment 5560428 looks like he has the classic costume at least. Not interested in this game at all though, Spider Man was kinda boring.
Yeah, I'm not expecting much from another modern insomniacs movies games especially when I have the shockingly great xmens origins game to compare it to, from back when a game was allowed to be a fucking video game

How hard is it to not open shit that seems shifty?
Western game studios are filled with pajeets, and women hired to filled gender diversity quotas. Even retards could hack game devs if they just named the file something like 'Free-Javascript-Coursespdf.exe'.
It kills me that people fall for this. What fucking retard thought it was a brilliant idea to hide file extensions by default. I have yelled at old people for installing viruses they thought were tax refund PDFs.
it's actually cheaper to just accept the risk of these compromises happening than it is to filter out and select for a workforce with the level of critical thinking necessary to avoid it. This is an insurmountable problem given the complexity of information technology that our society is dependent on. 10,000 years from now in the gay singularity future when work is performed with the Neuralink people will still be mentally double clicking on Free-Futurescript-Coursespdf.spaceexe and firms will just eat that loss because on average, over time, it's cheaper to let it happen.

If it were cost effective to have a competent workforce, insurance companies would mandate it. As it is, insurance companies have obviously crunched the numbers and simply don't care.

I'd enjoy an open-world Wolverine game where he's traveling the frozen Canadian wilds and passing through little outposts and towns to reach the Alkali Lake lab, and he's getting into fights or stopping crimes as he passes through inhabited areas, hunting animals with his claws for sustenance, being pursued by soldiers, etc. That would be cool, but I'm sure the capeshit creators will find some way to make him Two-Spirit or give him a tranny love interest or some retarded faggotry like that.

So question, why pay the ransom? Game data getting out won't affect the game sales, might even drum up hype. Personal documents are the employees fault for putting it in the company server. And gaming is so empty that nobody will steal code.

The only thing that remains that is of any worth are internal politics/finances, which admittedly can be spicy if Spider Man 2 undersold, or some higher up in Disney told them to insert political shit.

They've already said it's M rated at the very least.
Targeting a Hard-R rating". What did they mean by this?

Arkham knight the first Batman game with a M rating. Despite its content and tone wise, it is probably the most tame Arkham game. People want gore in a wolverine game. Like the X-men origin wolverine video game. Video games use to earn it’s M rating.

Does modern sony have a template for their games? Because they all seem to be third person over the shoulder camera games now.
Yes and it has been for a couple of console generations.

Play Ghost of Tsushima and 2016 GOW and you played the best version of everything Sony puts out.

I'm surprised they have a classic styled costume in there, let alone the Yellow and Brown color.

Even though it's my favorite Wolverine costume color scheme, I doubt I'll ever buy a PS5 let alone be willing to waste time on an Insomniac game. After 30 something years of being into Marvel and DC, I'm just so over superheroes.
