It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

A Chinese restaurant had been thrased by some local gangs.

Shocking video footage captures the moment a mob of youths trashed a Chinese restaurant in Queens over the weekend, overturning tables and breaking chairs as terrified staff and customers looked on helplessly.

The heinous hooligans left Fish Village in College Point in shambles Saturday, according to a video posted on Twitter by community activist Yiatin Chu.

“We’ve fallen so low that there’s no expectation of consequences for this horrific attack on private property,” Chu, president of Asian Wave Alliance and a co-founder of PLACE NYC, wrote in the post.

“This video is going viral on WeChat. Fish Village, a restaurant in College Point, Qns was ransacked by a gang of masked kids in hoodies.”

Police said the mob stormed the 127th Street restaurant shortly after 8:15 p.m., wrecking tables and chairs and damaging plates and a large window in the senseless destruction.

VANCOUVER, Wash. (KPTV/Gray News) - Authorities say a child missing since 2018 has been found in Mexico and has safely returned to the United States.

According to the FBI, Aranza Maria Ochoa Lopez was kidnapped by her biological non-custodial mother, Esmeralda Lopez, from a shopping mall in Washington state in October 2018.

KPTV reports that Aranza met her biological mother that day for a court-supervised visitation. Authorities determined that she was taken to Mexico.

The FBI said Aranza, now 8 years old, ended up being found safe last month in Michoacán, Mexico, by Mexican authorities and returned to the U.S. by special agents.

“For more than four years, the FBI and our partners did not give up on Aranza,” said Richard A. Collodi, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Seattle field office. “Our concern now will be supporting Aranza as she begins her reintegration into the U.S.”

Authorities said Aranza’s mother was arrested in Puebla, Mexico, in 2019 and extradited to Washington state.

In 2021, Lopez was sentenced to 20 months in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree kidnapping, robbery and first-degree custodial interference.

Tiger cub gets rescue dog playmate at Colorado sanctuary

A tiger cub seized in New Mexico in January is settling in at a Colorado sanctuary and has a new best friend -- a rescue dog.

The Wild Animal Sanctuary in Keenesburg said Duke, a tiger cub seized by Albuquerque police in January, was recently transferred to the sanctuary from the Albuquerque BioPark.


Pat Craig, the sanctuary's founder and director, said Duke has formed a bond with Valley, one of the sanctuary's 10 rescue dogs that serve as companions for rescued cubs.

Craig said Duke gets three play sessions a day with Valley and the other dogs.

"He has stuffed animals he likes to play with as well," Craig told KOAT-TV. "And so when he gets to run around in the clinic, that's his big exercise. He has an outdoor area that he goes to as well, and he's just about big enough now to start going up to his own little habitat."

Craig said Duke will be introduced to adult tigers once he is 9 months to a year old. He said keepers hope the cub will then be able to bond with a foster mother.

This story smacks of commie bullshit. The precariously balanced fish tank is asking to be trashed, but no... only chairs and tables are gently turned over and none of them even try to intimidate the owner. The "gang" appears to be non-obese, mask-wearing and short in stature - only slightly taller than the malnourished Mr Myagi.

Right wing whitey would proudly show his face, if the point was to intimidate the owner. Leftists would cause a lot more damage.
The "trashing" is respectful and organized, and the only people who care are on WeChat behind the bamboo firewall.
