It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

Zuckerberg literally terminated President Donald Trump’s accounts in the aftermath of January 6th and censored the entire Stop The Steal campaign. For a year on, we could only hear from Trump through .png’s of “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump.” The dissident right is still going to be censored on Facebook and Instagram like before. But I guess it’s okay now, because Zuckerberg has a low taper fade?

Never has the amazingly short memory span of the public been so painfully obvious than with this rebrand. I suppose all Chuck Schumer needs to be “based” too is to pop a zyn in the Senate chamber and get a tattoo on his face? Give me a break."

I'm surprised at how hard Zucc is going ahead with Order 41%. At first I assumed he just wanted to be in the Trump admin's good graces, but he's going at it like his wife trooned out their kid.

SALT LAKE CITY — Police seized a partially assembled rifle after detaining a man at City Creek Center Saturday, there is no indication of any ongoing threat to the community at this time.

Officials were notified of a disturbance at a coffee shop at 5:30 p.m. at a coffee shop near 80 South Main Street. Investigators believe a 33-year-old man made a statement that made an employee of the coffee shop concerned for the safety of another person while also noticing components of a firearm in the suspect's backpack.

Officers worked with City Creek Center officials and detained the suspect, who was found to have a mostly assembled rifle inside the backpack.

Investigators also believe at this time there is no evidence to suggest the man ever fully assembled the firearm. The suspect is a tourist from Australia.

Toronto police say they are launching a new initiative to address a rise in criminal and violent incidents in the tow truck industry.
Police say plainclothes and uniformed officers will be deployed in critical areas around Toronto to tackle shootings, arsons and other criminal acts linked to "bad actors" in the industry.
They say such incidents have been tied to ongoing territorial disputes within the towing industry in the city.
Police say the industry has seen an increase in gun violence, with 63 firearm discharge and shooting incidents linked to tow truck-related disputes last year, accounting for almost 13 per cent of all shootings in Toronto.
They say tow truck-related violence has escalated this year, with several shootings in Scarborough last week.
Police created a similar task force from June to August of last year that resulted in the arrests of six people and 184 charges related to a homicide and 13 tow truck-related shooting incidents.

A French woman was scammed out of $850,000 by someone on social media posing as Brad Pitt in a romantic scheme that lasted for more than a year.

The 53-year-old interior designer named Anne gave the fake Pitt her life’s savings after she was duped into believing Pitt was sick in the hospital with the help of AI images, per France 24.

With photoshopped pictures, the scammer convinced Anne that Pitt was in need of funds to help pay for a kidney treatment, telling her the actor couldn’t access his bank accounts due to his years-long bitter divorce from Angelina Jolie, which he recently settled in court last month.

Anne told the outlet the charade began when someone pretending to be Pitt’s mother, Jane, contacted her saying “her son needed someone like me.”

“At first I said to myself that it was fake, that it’s ridiculous,” she recalled. “But I’m not used to social media and I didn’t really understand what was happening to me.”

When she continued to receive messages from the fake account — which included personal poems —Anne claimed she started to believe the messages were real despite her first thoughts.

Ultimately, Anne went on to divorce her husband with the intention to finally be together with Pitt in-person.

She realized she had been deceived by scammers after she saw reports of Pitt’s ongoing relationship with Ines de Ramon.

“I ask myself why they chose me to do such harm like this?” she told French network, TF1, in a segment, that has since been pulled after attracting trolls.

Although, ngl, the way you describe it reminds me of how dogs can be trained to bring their owners their leash when it's time for "walkies". And now I can't not imagine one of our kids bringing us their backpack because they want to go on our evening walks or we're going out, and being very confused when Momma Snek is laughing really hard.

Damn skippy. And they shall be confused that our kids like theirs, and by me muttering "Didn't I defeat you really early in Baldur's Gate 3...?" because it's less socially frowned upon than flipping them off when my kids aren't looking or actually calling them harpies to their faces.

Unrelated, but all I can say about the Biden squad putting in the thing where medical debt can't be on Credit Reports is: "WTF I love Biden now".

Obviously I don't, but it sure sounds nice if you've had to deal with insane medical bills like those for chronic illnesses or cancer.

Because this is the Democrats, though, I have to side-eye it on principle as to WHY exactly they're doing it, and if it even holds up to scrutiny. Like don't get me wrong, I'd love to see that, but...I just don't trust them to actually do a good job of it or to not have hidden OTHER stuff in there.
