It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

A startup promised the pharmacy chain its high-tech coolers would track shoppers and spark an in-store ad revolution.

One of the funniest news stories I've read in quite a while. My sympathies go out to all the minimum wage employee who've had to put up with retarded schemes pushed by out-of-touch executives. I can only imagine how annoying it must be to stock aisles full of opaque glass doors. Speaking of retards, the guy behind this company seems a bit of a lolcow. Almost inspiring how he's managed to burn so many bridges with so many people and yet keeps falling upward.

"Disruption" techbros should be thrown in a woodchipper. How many times are people going to let these fucking charlatans charge them a billion dollars to RUIN EVERYTHING?

PRARIE VIEW, Texas (KBTX) - Since being completed last summer, the solar lab at Prarie View A&M University has been ready to face the winter conditions.

Doctors John Fuller and Anthony Hill have been in charge of developing a solar farm that powers a lab.

“We were wondering how it would come out in the wintertime with overhead cloudiness, but it’s functioning well [with] no problems,” Dr. Fuller assured.

With the winter in full swing and freezes happening, the mission is to keep improving the project to combat the harsh conditions.

“Our goal is to expand it so that when we have issues like this with students on campus, they can remain in the dorms because we can provide the power to the university,” said Dr. Hill.

Although no outages have occurred near the campus this winter so far, the solar lab can serve as a backup, as the system can power the lab, lights, and equipment for up to three days alone.

Retards in the UK are being hospitalized left and right after buying weight loss meds (Monjouro, Wegovy, etc…) on online pharmacy’s and injecting themselves without any sort of guidance from medical providers. Some who don’t even reach the threshold to be prescribed it (30% bmi) are stupidly taking them to lose a few pounds. The results are people filling up emergency rooms with anything from glycemic shock to pancreatitis

The feminists and other SJWs will hate that article.

I Prefer Toxic Masculinity to Deadly D.E.I. Incompetence

By Alicia Colon

All masculine images have been reclassified as toxic by the progressive feminists so my headline may be misleading.

I actually prefer real examples of the male in all his magnificent glory while rescuing those in need of brute strength to combat adversity of all kinds.
What we have seen in recent news is the failure of instituting Diversity, Equity and Inclusive (D.E.I.) policies into emergency services that require strength and power.

Nothing was made clearer than the disastrous interview with LAFD deputy assistant, Kristine Larson, who had the nerve to suggest that if she, as a woman firefighter, was unable to carry a man out of a burning house, then the man was at fault. “He got himself in the wrong place if I have to carry him out of a fire.”
Unbelievable! Ms. Larson is the head of the D.E.I. division and earns a salary of $300,000 a year. Yes, she is a lesbian as is the chief of the LAFD, Kristin Crowley, who was the first woman and LGBTQ+ to head the LAFD. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that (s).)

I admit to being somewhat a bit of a chauvinist when it comes to toxic feminism a.k.a., ‘hating men.’

Ironic to see Iran facing an energy crisis.

Iran's Energy Crisis

Authored by Brenda Shaffer & Dalga Khatinoglu via RealClearEnergy,

Iran is experiencing a systemic energy crisis. While many times in the past, Iran has had gas shortages or refined product shortages, this time Iran is undergoing an energy meltdown, with parallel shortages of electricity, natural gas and refined products. The Iranian energy crisis can affect regime stability. The lack of ability to provide basic energy needs to the public is an indicator of significant regime weakness. Iran’s gas trade with its neighbors— Turkey and Iraq—has also been disrupted. There is no quick fix to Iran’s energy shortages, which will continue to limit economic activity.

Iran holds the world’s second largest natural gas reserves and is the fourth-largest holder of oil reserves globally.
With 300 sunny days annually, vast coastal and mountainous windy regions, the country also has strong wind and solar potential. Yet, Iran faces a constant 20% electricity deficit, a 25% natural gas deficit, and severe shortages of petroleum products, especially gasoline. For years, Tehran has seen the energy crisis coming but took no meaningful steps to avert it.

There is no quick fix to Iran’s energy crisis. Iran’s Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad said this week that Iran needs $45 billion in investment to emerge from the energy crisis. Iran could reduce the impact of the crisis through increased gas imports from Turkmenistan. However, Iran has not been able to sustain gas import from Turkmenistan over the years, due to Tehran’s lack of payment. The regime’s energy subsidies to the public are also a huge financial burden, with close to a quarter of Iran’s GNP expended on subsidies.

So, this mother fucker is back:

Man sued by AG for charity appointed to position under Mike Rulli

(WKBN) — A man who, according to Ohio’s Attorney General, fraudulently tried collecting donations to help the people of East Palestine now has a prominent position with Congressman Mike Rulli.

The person in question is Mike Peppel, who in April of 2023 — two months after the train derailment in East Palestine — was sued by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost for forming what Yost called a “phony charity.”

Now Mike Peppel is the communications director for Ohio’s Sixth District Congressman Mike Rulli and some people are not happy about the appointment.

Peppel’s organization was known as the Ohio Clean Water Fund and claimed they were acting on behalf of Second Harvest Food Bank — a claim officials at the food bank have denied.

Yost claimed that the fund raised more than $141,000 and only $10,000 went to the food bank. Peppel later settled the lawsuit by agreeing to pay $116,000 to the food bank, a $25,000 penalty, and was permanently banned from operating a charity in Ohio.

Congressman Rulli said in a statement, “In light of the dismissal of any and all civil complaints against Mr. Peppel, we are ready to move forward and focus on serving our constituents with a proven leader joining our team.”

But East Palestine Mayor Trent Conaway said:

“As we the citizens of East Palestine, we’re living a nightmare, Mr. Peppel and his fellow accomplices were scamming people on the backs of those suffering from this disaster. I find it reprehensible that Congressman Rulli would hire him in light of his actions.”

Congressman Rulli also said he was happy to have Mike Peppel as part of his team, citing Peppel’s “extraordinary work ethic, loyalty, and dedication to the people of our region.”

WKBN.com

He's got excellent loyalty to lining his own pockets. And enough ethics to actually pay the fines he was given. Hey, at least we got a box truck for our pantry out of the deal, because he defrauded Second Harvest's name. I think we eventually got some water out of it, too.

Freshly died

"Hello @polizei_nrw_d, can you confirm that in the morning (approx. 7:30 AM) of January 9th in the area "Unter den Eichen" (#Düsseldorf) a 75 year old man with dementia has been arbitrarily kicked by a group of adolescents and died of the causes today? Press statement?"
"Dear Mr. Huch, we cannot make any statements on details in ongoing investigations. Especially not with an unclear situation. But what we can say is that the man did NOT die."
"Howdy, my reliable source tells me that the man died approx. 4 hours ago. Please check this because we are then speaking of a killing. The context is very obvious."
"Mr. Huch, even if the man did pass away, which we hope not, it does not necessarily need to be in the context of an assault reported here. And of course we are looking into the matter."
"I am looking forward to the coming press statement - also the one by the prosecution office."]

It's not unprecedented though to see in countries with vast natural resources and incompetent, corrupt regimes, as insane Islamists tend to create. A more secular example would be Venezuela under Chávez and then Maduro, again a nation ruled by ideology rather than ideas.

The problem is in having natural resources that, while valuable to the entire world, require an actually competent regime to harness, resulting in foreigners largely controlling the actual turning of the resources into their final usable form. So they may have all the oil/gas they could possibly need, but can't use it without a real country to refine it. (Or in Venezuela's case, putting all their electricity eggs in one basket and then having a hydro plant that stops working when there's a drought.)

The iconic 'Little Bavaria' estate in Las Vegas once owned by magicians Siegfried & Roy is now a shadow of its former self after homeless squatters moved in and claimed it for themselves.

At the height of the entertainer's fame, the 'Jungle Palace' mansion had big cats roaming the estate, which was once decorated with gaudy décor and extravagant amenities.

The home had priceless Persian rugs, crystal candle holders, baroque carved furnishings, a clock owned by Napoleon, gold candelabras and a jewel-encrusted sword believed to have belonged to Genghis Khan.

However, new photographs show the once full-of-life mansion is now overrun with homeless squatters taking refuge among the decay.

Photos show the grounds filled with garbage, disused clothing, rough sleeping arrangements and tattered furnishings.

The once beautiful spaces have been stripped almost completely, replaced with near apocalyptic scenes of despair..

Prescription drugs, shopping carts, beer bottles and food remnants are among the rubbish scattered across the abandoned floors.

The legendary magicians moved into the sprawling property in 1982, about 30 years after it was built in the 1950s.

And now Iran's supreme leader forced to wear a flak jacket.

Iran has ordered its proxy forces across the Middle East to exercise caution as the Islamic Republic fears an existential threat following Donald Trump’s return to the White House, The Telegraph has learned.

Officials have told commanders of Iran-backed militias to avoid provocative actions that could escalate regional tensions.

Commanders have also been instructed to maintain defensive positions while avoiding any actions that could be interpreted as aggressive by US forces or regional allies.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s 85-year-old supreme leader, even appeared to be wearing a flak jacket at the funeral of two judges who were gunned down in Tehran last weekend – reportedly over fear of attacks.

With his robes bulging at unusual angles, Khamenei was pictured this week standing over the coffins of the men said to have been assassinated inside the supreme court by an “infiltrator”.

Bet that place was a wreck even before the junkies moved in. It's a ridiculously opulent design, the maintenance costs alone would be huge, it's almost 80 years old, and the weird showbiz freaks used it as an open-air zoo. It's probably a borderline tear-down anyway, unless some megabux fag felt like reconditioning the entire thing for millions of dollars.

The initial sale price reflected this, less than 2 million dollars? Yeah right. Fire sale. The asshole who bought it for 3 million is just another "investor" with dreams of taking money from marks, but now he can just "write it off" as a tax dodge.
