Amazon are selling this heavily discounted cause I'm guessing the sales and reviews have been shit. Still tempted to pick this up cause I do like a few of the games on it.

Yeah the backlash has not helped the Mini, and if you wanted it only for the case, there is already 3D Printed cases that look exactly like the mini with LEDs and buttoms for the E X P E R I E N C E

The NES classic and SNES classic I bought without hesitation despite the cost cause they were cool and run well. The sad thing is the this could have been the same.

You could always mod no? Put some other games on there or change the version to moonwalker to the ones ont here.

Yeah but is pretty much a hassle because PCSX rearmed is not that good, you are going to get better mileage using better emulators like Mednafen that actually have libretro cores, to the point that is the standard for multi emulators like BizHawk that have ported it to use it for TAS

Yeah if it was actually a good "push button receive psx emulation" gizmo I'd think about it, but I can get a psx emulator sorta working myself already.

For a little extra you can get a NVIDIA Shield (or better a Shield k1) and have the better emulation powerhouse that also run Netflix and the installation is painless

Edit to prevent double posting:

Jesus there is already shops that are getting rid of them by slashing 50% the price and the thing barely has 3 weeks in the market i have not seen something like this since the days of the Jaguar or the legendary disaster that was the PC-FX (taken from reddit)

This was the year of the "immediatly slash prices because we're not selling enough" for gaming.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider (because Square Enix autism, probably), Fallout 76, Battlefield V, and now the PS Classic.
I wonder if it'll get worse next year. Probably.

It doesn't help that if you wanted to get information about it you are going to get "lol nigga just get a raspberry is more cheaper" so they did the math, calculated pro and cons and the obvious winner was always the raspberry

Honestly, that used to happen back in the day as well. Not with AAA games, but most of my PS2 and PC library was built on slashed prices and "2 games for £15" type sales.

If they are trying to sell them off by boxing day that's fine by me because I might pick one up. Mainly for those controllers.

They are not DualShocks so pretty much if you want to play things like Resident Evil you are stuck with Analog

I'm not bothered about sticks (I have Xbone controllers for that) but I do want a decent controller with d-pad for snes emulation and the like. There are cheaper ways like buying a PS4 controller, but at that point it's an extra £10 for the PS1 classic, so I might as well go for it for that price.

Is it wrong that despite all the fuckups, I'm still going to buy the PS1 Classic just because of the slashed price?

It's not the best, but hey I get FF7, RE1, and Syphon Filter all in one package for sixty bucks!

Well if you get it cheap go ahead is not like the NES or the SNES mini that are going out of production and people is practically killing for getting the last ones

I kinda want it because my vidya was stolen and it might pacify me for awhile. But I just wish it had more games. I hear it's not worth it. It's better to just slowly buy back my library. I can't even play my games now as my PS2 was taken.:(

I mainly want to play on a TV. It's a shame this thing isn't better. It really is. I didn't buy the Nintendo minis as they were just too much for me at the time. I always miss out on things. But maybe in this case I should pass up the PS Classic.

I still have a modchipped PSone that I play games on. But there's plenty of better ways to play PS1 games than the PS Classic. For modern TVs, using a PS3 is probably the best overall for that.

Wow.. that's all but admitting you didn't sell enough of them during the holiday season to justify to continue promoting the product. They'll just let them sell out the remaining stock and forget this ever happened.

To be honest, This device is a little silly given how the PSN on a PS3/4 basically delivers the same classic experience anyway.

So I got myself a PS Classic today, haven't had a chance to set it up yet though.
